The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
The house from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is now a family restaurant. After shooting the 70’s slasher, the suburban house that once saw the horrors of Leatherface was turned into a restaurant. Initially, it was a Texas Chainsaw Massacre-themed restaurant, complete with a Leatherface dummy. However, it was since rebranded as the Grand Central Cafe, with less of a gimmick on the venue being the Massacre house. Source: facts.net

I never saw that film, but it is a nice looking restaurant.
I just found it interesting that something so scary is now a place to dine. Love and hugs, Jackie. 🙂
I was never a fan of “those” type of movies as they gave me nightmares (!) but that building/now restaurant is really pretty………..!!
Hugs, Pam
I’ve seen the movie, but it’s not my favorite kind of movie. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Pam. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to handsome Teddy. 🙂
What a peaceful and beautiful place. You would have never guessed. I never saw the movie. Bloody, violent and scary is not the type of movie I watch.
It was a scary movie. I had no idea the house was turned into a restaurant. Healing scritches to handsome Duke. 🙂
I never saw that movie and I can’t see going to a restaurant with a chainsaw massacre theme. Good idea to rebrand.
I don’t think there is anything that reminds you of the movie in the restaurant. I would treat you to lunch. We’d have fun. 🙂
What a beautiful house, we were just going to move and buy that house, but that was before we read the insides out🙈Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day and Week ahead to you, dear Sandee, Zane and your purrecious kitties too. Have Fun🩷🐾😽💞
Nothing bad happened in that house, just a movie was made there. It’s a pretty restaurant and I love the grounds. Double Pawkisses to you both and a big hug to Granny. 🙂
I’m not a horror movie fan. I never would have gone to a Texas Chain Saw themed restaurant but the way it is now, the place seems inviting. Alana ramblinwitham
It’s very inviting and it’s still in operation after all these years since the movie. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
I’m not a fan of that movie genre. But I do think that’s a really beautiful restaurant!😊
Happy Wednesday, Sandee!
It’s not my first choice in movies either, but I found it interesting what happened to the house it was filmed in. Happy Wordless Wednesday, my friend. 🙂
What a huge difference between the name and the look of the house.
I do not know the movie and not a chance to see it…
Happy WW, dear Sandee! A fabulous and bright week! ❤️😘
I would love to have lunch or dinner there. I slice of scary history. Hugs for a great rest of the week, Suzana. 🙂
That is interesting. Never saw that film though. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. XO
I saw the film. It was very scary. I love what happened to the house though. Scritches to the kitties and a big hug to you, Ellen. 🙂
Creepy movies are not my cup of tea. The house and premises are lovely. Happy Wednesday! Hugs!
Not my first choice either. I did find it interesting what they did with the house. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Eugenia. Hugs. 🙂
Yes, and I enjoy your Wordless Wednesday posts, Sandee. I am learning things I wasn’t aware of. Thank you! 💕
It’s so pretty. It’s hard to believe it was in a horror film. lol
I hear you, Kymber. The movie was very scary. Happy Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week. Hugs. 🙂
Hugs, Sandee!
YAY it was turned into a cafe and makes everyone smile. I love that green roof.
Hugs X4
Cecilia
You’re right about that. I would love to meet you and Bryan for a nice lunch together. We’d have a great visit. Hugs. 🙂
I haven’t seen that movie but that’s a very pretty place!
It’s a very scary movie. I agree that it’s a pretty place. Happy Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to all the precious kitties. 🙂
Never saw the movie…I don’t like gore…but I bet that restaurant gets a lot of business because of the movie.
I agree with you. I would go there because of the movie too. Happy rest of the week. 🙂
What a nice building, I love the green roof!
A far better use of the building than that scary movie. I love the green roof too. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Keith. 🙂
How interesting! I prefer the new vision for the place over the tragedy surrounding the old place.
I prefer the new version too. I would love to have lunch or dinner there. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Cathy. Love and hugs. 🙂
Thanks and the same to you, Sandee! xo
It looks like such a relaxing place to have a nice meal. Nothing like the movie.
I agree with you, Yvonne. I would love to dine there. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week, Yvonne. 🙂
I never saw the film, but the house looks very calm and nice.
It does now, but it was scary when the movie is shot. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week. 🙂
What a beautiful place it is now, we would definitely give it a try!
I would love to join you there. It would be fun. Happy Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the pups. 🙂
From horror house to restaurant. Interesting progression! 🙂 It looks like a nice place to dine.
It does look like a nice place to dine. I would love to visit there. Happy Wednesday, Debbie. Hugs. 🙂
Very interesting, something new to me and I prefer the restaurant vs the horror house for sure

That is so interesting. I didn’t know that. Thanks for the amazing fact.
I didn’t know this either. I thought it was post worthy. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Patrick. 🙂
I just showed my son your post, and he’s like, “Oh man, I want to go there so bad!” Lol. I think it’s a beautiful place, and I’d like to go there, too!
I’d like to go with you. We’d have fun and probably get into trouble. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
Jolly, Sandee!
I agree, Cloudia. Scritches to Pixie. 🙂
It’s a classic movie. I have never watched it, though. The restaurant and grounds are beautifully maintained. It is good that the house was preserved and repurposed.
Happy Wordless Wednesday, Sandee. Peace to you!
It’s a classic indeed. It was also very scary. I would love to visit the restaurant. Happy Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Suzette. Peace to you, too. 🙂
Thank you Sandee! Cheers.
That is such a beautiful home, but its morbid history would chase our peeps away.
Woos – Misty and Timber
I don’t think it has any remnants of the movie anymore. Happy Wordless Wednesday. A hug to you and scritches to the pups. 🙂
Nice looking house. Happy Wednesday! <3
I agree with you and a great place to enjoy a meal. Happy Wednesday, Barbara. 🙂
Not so sure I’d be inclined to dine there. Especially not drink the “wine” LOL!
I’d go and enjoy a meal. It’s not spooky anymore. No wine for me either. 🙂
I can imagine no one wanted to live in it after that.
May you and Mr. Zane and the kitties have a blessed Easter week and weekend. Give them some scritches for me, please.
I hear you. I wouldn’t want to live there either. May you and Mr. Sweetie have a blessed Holy week and Easter. Love and hugs. 🙂
A wonderful looking place these days.
Thanks for hosting.
It looks much better now than then. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
That’s something interesting.
I thought it was, too. Happy Wordless Wednesday. Heidi. 🙂
I’ve never seen that movie, and I’m not sure I could handle dining at a place with a chainsaw massacre theme! Just the thought gives me chills.
It’s very scary. The restaurant would be fun. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Veronica. 🙂
Such a lovely house…but eew…couldn’t not fathom ‘eating’ there! Thanks for the movie trivia, Sandee!
You’re most welcome. Happy rest of the week. A hug to you and scritches to Wilson. 🙂
Still don’t think I could eat there.🤢
I would. The movie was just make believe. 🙂
I sort of watched Texas chainsaw masure. I know I wouldn’t choiced that movie.
It’s very scary. 🙂
Yikes, what a landmark.
Yes, indeed. 🙂
Yikes that was a creepy movie an old beau took me too ages ago. Thought I would stop by to say hi. I am blogging, and slow as I am these days life is better. Love to you my friend. Happy Easter
Happy Easter, my friend. Good to hear from you. Love you bunches . 💗
Nice house…Not sure I’d want to overnight there though…🐾 Wishing you a paws-itively purrfect Easter! May your blog be as bright as spring and your treats as delightful as a basket full of catnip. 🌸🐰Your #1 Fun Boy! Marvelous Marv & Kozmo Plus Jo Jo, Nutmeg and Mom Barb
Nice restaurant. I wouldn’t want to stay there either. Love and hugs all around and a smooch to Marvelous Marv. 🙂
It’s funny the reality of these situations. In the movie it was a horror to see, But in reality it’s a rustic little restaurant. 🤣😎🙃
Yes it’s a rustic little restaurant. Happy day and rest of the week. 🙂
