3 Musketeers Bars
The original 3 Musketeers bars of the 1930s came in three-packs, with a different nougat flavor in each: vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry. World War II rations made that triple threat expensive, so the company cut down to one.
Linking up with a bunch of fantastic peeps from the blogosphere who host Wordless Wednesday – Betty, Steve, image-in-ing, Keith, Senior Salon, Esme Salon, CatSynth, and Suzana.

Those look tasty. I would go for the chocolate one every time!
I love chocolate too. Nothing better than chocolate. Love and hugs, Jackie. 🙂
How interesting. I had no idea that’s how they were originally made. I’ve always liked 3 musketeers bars.
Me too and frozen ones are the very best. Happy day and rest of the week, Ann. 🙂
OMC we had no idea that they were so old. Granny has never eaten them, in fact she has never seen them either🙈That must have been a delicious candy bare. Double Pawkisses for a delicious week ahead to you, dear Sandee, Zane and the kitties too🐾😽💞
Many candies are no longer, but the chocolate one is still available here. Double Pawkisses to the kitties and a big hug to Granny. 🙂
Thank you for this idea. I did not now about these bars, but I think they look like a sort of chocolate I like.
Hugs, dear Sandee! Happy WW and thank you for the blog hop! ❤️😘
I love all things chocolate. I don’t eat it very often, but love chocolate. Love and hugs, Suzana. 🙂
My Mom was a BIG FAN of Three Musketeers……They go back a long way (but so does my Mom!).
Hugs, Teddy
I go way back too. There are a lot of candy bars that are no longer made. Happy WW and rest of the week. Scritches to Teddy. 🙂
Love Three Musketeers candy!
Me too. Happy WW and rest of the week, Duke. 🙂
Lovely I would had liked the vanilla one heheh! interesting post
Have a nougettastic week Sandee and thanks for hosting as always have a chocolottytastic week 👍
I would love to try the other two flavors. Happy WW and rest of the week, Steve. 🙂
Mom loved Three Muskateer bars but now since she doesn’t eat refined sugar, no more. They were quite tasty according to her.
I don’t have chocolate very often. Sugar isn’t the best thing to be eating all the time. Scritches to the pups. 🙂
How interesting, Sandee. I had not idea about the history of Three Musketeer bars. Happy Wednesday! Hugs!
I didn’t know either. I love weird facts. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week, Eugenia. Hugs. 🙂
😊💛
So interesting. The chocolate one is delicious! Never knew there were any other flavors way back then.
I didn’t know there were two other flavors either. I would to try both of them. Happy day and rest of the week. 🙂
I loved these bars as a child but haven’t had one in years. I would have loved to have tried the original ones – I didn’t know they came in flavors originally. Alana ramblinwitham
I would have loved to try all three too, not just the chocolate one. Happy WW and rest of the week. 🙂
I didn’t know they ever came that way. I wish they would go back to that. Thanks for hosting. Have a nice day. XO
Me too. I would love to try the other two flavors. You have a nice day too, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
Mom never knew that.
I didn’t either. I love weird facts. 🙂
Yum.

I agree, Regine. 🙂
I used to love those too, yum! During the hot summers when I was growing up my Mom would put some in the freezer. They made a nice cool snack!
Lots of candy is far better after it’s frozen. Yes indeed. Happy WW and rest of the week. 🙂
I like that original idea!
I do too. I had no idea about this either. Happy day and rest of the week. 🙂
I’m suddenly craving a Mars bar which is probably the nearest thing we have here now!
If it’s chocolate it’s good. I’m a chocoholic. Happy WW, Keith. 🙂
OHHHHHHHH my favorite candies would be 3 Musketeers and Hershey and York peppermint.
Now that I have so many bridges I avoid candy unless I can brush immediately. Don’t want that sugar hiding because that causes trouble under the bridges…
Hugs Cecilia
Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. I’m with you. Love and hugs. 🙂
I loved and still love chocolate bars even though they are much smaller these days.
They are and chocolate is a most wonderful thing to enjoy. 🙂

I love them and frozen are the best way to enjoy them. 🙂
I haven’t tried them frozen, but I can see how that would be delicious!
Our old movie theatre used to have Three Musketeers bars in the freezer!

I did not know this about 3 flavors, I always went for milkyway and Snickers
I love all of them. I’d eat all of them if I could. 🙂
Mom has never been a fan of Three Musketeers, but our Dad loves them.
Woos.- Misty and Timber
Try one frozen. Makes a huge difference. Happy WW and rest of the week. Scritches to the pups. 🙂

Sometimes I buy those go give out on Halloween because I don’t like them, he, he.
Freeze one and see if you like it that way. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
Oh, no. Then what candy bars would I have left to buy that I don’t like? (I do this on purpose!)
Next to Mars bars, Three musketeers are my favorite. I have not had one in a while. Thanks for the idea Sandee! Deliciousness. Have a wonderful Wednesday. I am late today. Have a good one. Thank you for hosting Comedy Plus and bloghops.
I’m going to buy a couple next time I shop. Have a great day and weekend. 🙂
Me too, lol….Its all your idea remember now. There’s no calaries if someone else suggest the chocolates…ahahahaa. Just kidding..! Have a great weekend Sandee.
There are never calories here, Suzette. Never. 🙂
Awesomeness!! Thank you Sandee…
Funny how wartime changed even candy.
Thanks for sharing this bit of history, Sandee!
It changed a lot of things. Some good, but most not so much. 🙂
Mmmmm, chocolate (dad). We didn’t know that. Very interesting. Dad got some special maple cream filled chocolates for Christmas, and me and mom are surprised that he hasn’t eaten them all already.
I didn’t know it either, but I love the candy bar. 🙂
We love such sweets. And have always some in the house too.
Thank you for hosting, dear Sandee
I wish I had some now. So good. 🙂
I used to love the chocolate ones. Have a great rest of the week!
Yes the chocolate ones are fabulous. 🙂
Chocolate AND nougat…yum! 😋
Yes and yes, my friend. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to the pups. 🙂
Happy Friday Sandee, thank mew for adding our links this week, mew are so wonderful! 😻 That chocolate bar looks furbulous, we don’t think they are available in the UK as the P.A. would like to try one! MOL
You’re most welcome. Have a fabulous day and weekend. Love to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. 🙂
I didn’t know that about Mars bars. Hershey’s Canada announced this week they’re ceasing production of the Cherry Blossom this year. They’ve been around since I was little.
I hate it when a favorite is discontinues. Butterfinger ice cream is no more. I loved it so. Happy week. 🙂
How interesting, I never knew this!
That makes two of us, Cathy. Love and hugs. 🙂
Thanks for sharing this fascinating history. Be well!
There are so many things that we don’t know about. Love these weird facts. Happy week. 🙂
