WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.
For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.
Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.
Autumn Food
There’s nothing better than sitting down to a bowl of this warming stew on a cool day. Hearty chunks of beef turn tender after a low and slow trip in your favorite Dutch oven; potatoes get added during the tail end of cooking so they don’t dissolve into the stew. Get the Recipe

Thank you for all the food ideas, even some are complicated for my ignorance…
But they look delicious! A glass of red wine is… easier!😃
Happy WW, again, dear Sandee! A lot of colors in your days!❤️😘
They are delicious and I’ll have a glass of red wine with you. Happy WW and rest of the week, Suzana. 🙂
Autumn and winter is the time for stews and casseroles. I often but some small pieces of potato in if I want it extra thick. You have made me hungry now.
I’m happy I made you hungry. Prayers and healing hugs to you my friend. 🙂
I love this kind of thick “soup” it really warms you up when it is cold !
It sure does and it makes ones tummy most happy. Thanks for linking up, Gattina. 🙂
Oh yes, I love stews! The photos look delicious. Lots of potatoes in stews is my preference!
Thank you, Sandee. Have a great Wordless Wednesday!
I hear you. Potatoes and carrots. Love it. Happy WW, Suzette. Hugs. 🙂
Yes, delicious.
Thank you Sandee!! Happy Wordless Wednesday! Blessings!
It’s been a while since I’ve had beef stew. This looks so good.
We love stew and soup. We love all the comfort foods. Happy day and rest of the week, Ann. 🙂
Mmmm, that seasonal food looks so comforting! I’ve been into soups lately. They’re a nutritious one-dish meal. A carriage ride down a tree-lined street sounds like a great idea, too. Thanks for that!
We are always into soup here. We have several we make during the year. Happy WW, Wendy and Dani. 🙂
Oh lovely I do love a nice stew my mum used to make lovely stews 🙂
Have a stewytastic week Sandee and thanks for hosting 👍
Stews are most delicious and filled with wonderful veggies. Happy WW, Steve. 🙂
Best time of the year for soups and stews and that one looks delicious!
It sure is. Fall does bring on delicious comfort foods. Happy WW and rest of the week, Duke. 🙂
this looks wonderful, I need to make a crockpot of stew, its been a long time since I did that, thanks for the reminder
I am so waiting for it to cool down and enjoy the wonderful comfort foods fall brings. 🙂
That looks very fall and warming. Mom made soup this week as the weather has cooled off.
I did a pot of soup recently and it was most hot out, but we were hungry for soup. Happy day and rest of the week. 🙂
oh yes! today is one of those days.
It’s getting there here. I love all things fall. Thanks for playing along, Klara. 🙂
Oh, Sandee, we love stew, especially this one with the beefie. Bon appetite😸😸Double Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead to you and the kitties too🐾😽💞
It’s my favorite of all the stews. Double Pawkisses to the kitties and a big hug to you. 🙂
I’ve loved a good beef stew since I was a little girl. Oh yes, it’s comfort food just as soon as it starts getting cold. Alana ramblinwitham
My mom made beef stew often when I was growing up. Always a wonderful meal. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
I love stew, especially on a chilly autumn day. Thank you for the link to the recipe. Happy Wednesday.
When it’s cold outside this is the perfect meal. So many fall comfort foods out there. Happy Wednesday. 🙂
Have a lovely Wednesday, Sandee!
Mmm Mmm good! I’ve been hankering for some home cooked beef stew and cornbread.
Have a wonderful Wednesday! <3
The perfect fall meal. I’m so ready too. You have a wonderful Wednesday too, Barbara. 🙂
That is what I made for supper last night. I made ours in the crock pot and I add a lot of kale. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. XO
Sounds delicious. We don’t have a crock pot anymore, but Zane has Dutch ovens and that works very well. You have a great day too. XO 🙂
That looks very appetizing.
It sure does. Nothing as tasty as a great pot of stew. 🙂
Yes, it is getting to be stew season, yum!
It sure is and I’m so ready. Happy Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
Oh yum! Stew season is most assuredly on the way! 🙂

It is indeed. We love all these kinds of meals during the cooler/colder weather months. Happy rest of the week. 🙂
That looks yummy!
It is yummy. Living in Florida makes this almost too hot to enjoy. Happy rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
One of my favorite parts of fall is enjoying a bowl of stew on a crisp autumn evening before heading out to a local high school football game.
I hear you. It’s a most wonderful thing indeed. Happy Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, my friend. 🙂
Sandee I am so ready for fall food. We are big lovers of stews and soups and pastas..OH MY

That looks delicious! 😋 It’s still hot and humid here, but the cooler, ‘comfort food’ weather will set in soon enough. Happy Wednesday, Sandee! Thanks for hosting.
It was 101 degrees yesterday. It’s too hot indeed, but I can dream. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Debbie. 🙂
That is way too hot! 😲 We’re at 72, with a humidity reading of 80. I’ll take that as long as possible. 😎
This looks delicious. Yum! Have a great Wednesday and the rest of the week.
It is delicious. I’ve not made stew in a long time. Going to make a pot soon. Happy Wordless Wednesday, my friend. 🙂

It’s so great to see you each week. Have a blessed day and rest of the week. Thank you for all you do. 🙂
Oh YUM! What a great idea for supper! Maybe next week…Life here at Casa De Marv is so furry hectic! We are 2 days behind in celebrating Kozmo’s Birthday! Between Mom writing grants (and managing a program or 2) at the Senior Centre, and the creation of the badges for the Cat Blogosphere, Mom does NOT help me post comments (much) or get the celebrations in our lives out there! BUT I, Marvelous am STILL your #1 Fan Boy! Head Bonks and whisker kisses, Marvelous Marv
I sang happy birthday to Kozmo. I love you all and especially Marvelous Marv and Barb. 🙂
That looks so super yummy. Thanks for hosting this great party. I hope that you have a wonderful week.
I’m ready to make a pot of stew. Thanks for stopping by, Patrick. 🙂
Yummy!!!!!
I saved you some. Happy day and rest of the week. 🙂
Yummers. It looks so good. Mom makes a tasty one that Dad loves – it is done in the crockpot with a can of coke.
Woos – Misty and Timber
Sounds good to me. Let me know when you make it again and I’ll come over to have some. 🙂
Stuff like that was the staple of my cooking when I was feeding a family and lots of the kids friends. No recipes, whatever was in the house got put in the pot and they always ate it all.
You and Mr. Zane have a great rest of the week and please gives scritches to those wonderful kitties.
It does go a long way and it’s most delicious. You and Mr. Sweetie have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Hugs. 🙂
I absolutely love stews! 😋
I always prefer lots of potatoes in mine!
Happy Thursday, Sandee!
Me too. Potatoes are most delicious. Happy Thursday, Veronica. 🙂
A PERFECT STEW TO STEW OVER….Mama says just cut up all the ingredients that need it, heat the oil. saute the onion and garlic for a couple of minutes, then put EVERYTHING ELSE in the big stew pot, cover and let rip on low heat until all veggies are soft and it smells so good you can’t resist drooling into the stew. It works. Mama has been around cooking for a gazillion years, teaching and writing cookbooks and it works. THANK you for the great combo stew, love the Crimini mushroom addition….
That’s pretty much how I do it too, but we do use the dutch oven. It makes the meat most tender. I’m older than dirt too. 🙂
Looks so tasty but we have to wait for comfort food for a while. It’s going to be in the low 90’s today. Ugh…it’s back to salads.
It’s still hot here and the air conditioner is still on for most of the day and all night. Hugs to you and scritches to the pups. 🙂
A good bowl of stew always warms more than the stomach. Looks delicious.
You’re so right about that, Yvonne. I always say it makes my stomach happy. Happy rest of the week. 🙂
I’ve been having so much fun trying new recipes. Thanks for sharing. 😀 Hugs, my dear.
I love a good stew. Happy day and weekend. Hugs. 🙂
I love stew! One of my favorte meals of fall! 💚💜
Stew and soups. Happy day and weekend. 🙂
Oh stew is good, my husband likes it thick and full of fresh veggies. My mom use to add fresh peas and love those but no one else here does. Sigh…. I am trying to get back into my blogs. Car problems keep popping up. So I am just thankful I am here. Have a great weekend sweet friend.
I like it that way too. So delicious. I hope you get your car problems fixed. I hate car problems. Love and hugs, my sweet friend. 🙂
So yummy 😀
It sure is. I’m going to make a pot too. 🙂
Oh that looks so good Sandee. I’ll eat the veg & give the meat to my Devils. Everybody wins!!!
I would like it without the meat too. Veggies are always welcome. 🙂
Hearty hot soup. Perfect for the season.
It sure is. I love this time of year and all the delicious food too. 🙂
