Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is a 1994 American comedy-drama film directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Eric Roth. It is an adaptation of the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom, and stars Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, Mykelti Williamson, and Sally Field.

The film follows the life of an Alabama man named Forrest Gump (Hanks) and his experiences in the 20th-century United States. Principal photography took place between August and December 1993, mainly in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Extensive visual effects were used to incorporate Hanks into archived footage and to develop other scenes. The soundtrack features songs reflecting the different periods seen in the film. Tom Hanks has some really amazing films in his career. At the Mall of America, there is a Forest Gump restaurant and they have this exact photo scene by the entrance. You can sit on the bench next to him for photos.

Thatโ€™s such a great movie! That bench is in Orange, CA. We got to sit on it when visiting family. Touristy, I know, but it was kind of cool.

Haha. I just looked it up, and apparently the bench we sat on is not that the one that was in Forrest Gump! On the plus side, it was a nice place to eat our ice cream. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Now this is one of my all-time faves! Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get. True wisdom, indeed. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Great share! I love the older movies. Not so much lately. Nothing sounds good today. I am trying to go back to your comment section. I am hopeless with technology. Take care and enjoy this week. https:/mytatascottage.blogspot.com

We took a picture at Chippewa Square when we visited Savannah. ๐Ÿ™‚ That was a good movie. A lot of thought went into the script, for sure.
