WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.
For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Psycho
Psycho is a 1960 American horror film produced and directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The screenplay, written by Joseph Stefano, was based on the 1959 novel of the same name by Robert Bloch. The film stars Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, Vera Miles, John Gavin, and Martin Balsam. The plot centers on an encounter between on-the-run embezzler Marion Crane (Leigh) and shy motel proprietor Norman Bates (Perkins) and its aftermath, in which a private investigator (Balsam), Marion’s lover Sam Loomis (Gavin), and her sister Lila (Miles) investigate her disappearance. Linking up with a bunch of fantastic peeps from the blogosphere who host Wordless Wednesday – Betty, Steve, image-in-ing, Keith, Cathy, Sara, Esme Salon, CatSynth, and Suzana.

Nice capture but one thing for sure I would never stay there LOL 🙂
Have a horrorlesstastic week Sandee and thanks for hosting 👍
That makes two of us, Steve. It was a very scary movie. 🙂
The place looks spooky. Would you believe that I’ve never seen the movie? Of course I know all about it and have seen clips but never the whole movie.
It was a very scary movie. 🙂
I’d rather sleep in my car!
Me, too, but not in that parking lot. Just saying. 🙂
Wondering if that movie would be as terrifying today as back when I first watched it. May have to find out…
That’s a good question. The shining is as scary now as it was back then. I think I need to see this movie again to see if it’s as terrifying. 🙂
That’s definitely a classic! Hitchcock was a true master of building suspense, wasn’t he?
He was a master, indeed. I always watched his movies. 🙂
Scary movie. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. XO
It was scary for sure. You have a great day, too, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
OMC Mom remembers that movie!
I used to watch horror films. I still do, but they scare me more now. 🙂
Interesting place, but I did not watch Psycho, even it is a very known movie.
Thank you for a new space, dear Sandee!
Happy WW and a fine week!
Hugs and thank you for the blog hop!❤️😘
It was a scary movie. I think I’ll watch it again. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Suzana. Hugs. 🙂
Oh, I remember that movie! 😱 Too scary for me. Happy Wednesday! Hugs.
I never passed up scary movies in my younger years. Loved them. Happy Wednesday, Eugenia. Hugs. 🙂
Scary movies gave me nightmares when I was younger. I preferred musicals. Hugs to you too! 💕
Just looking at that picture gives me the creeps!
It was a most scary movie. I loved it. 🙂
I would just keep driving by!
That makes two of us. As much as I enjoyed the movie, I wouldn’t check in there. 🙂
Who can ever forget this film. Still gives me the chills. Maybe I should revisit it again. 😉
Possibly worth showing the children this film from yesteryears. They are old enough and I watched it when I was 15/16 I guess. 🙂
Thanks for hosting, darling Sandee.
Tightest Hugs and Big love,
xoxox <3
I would never forget this film. Love this movie. Love and hugs, sweet Natasha. 🙂
What a movie that was.
White knuckle scary is what it was. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
Great photo…adds the right amount of mystery to the movie… which I have seen. Thank you, Sandee.
I loved this movie. I’ve seen it several time, but not recently. Need to fix that. Happy Wordless Wednesday. Hugs. 🙂
A true classic of the genre!
Nice movie still (?)! Does the place actually exist or was it just a fasade for the movie?
Filming of Psycho took place largely on the Universal Studios Hollywood backlot in Los Angeles, with additional exterior filming taking place in Phoenix, including at the Hotel Westward Ho. 🙂
Yeah, I think we’ll pass on that one! MOL Happy Wednesday Sandee, we hope your week is glorious!
I loved the movie, but I would stay in the motel. Just saying. Scritches to the kitties and a big hug to you. 🙂
MOL MOL The Birds and Psyco were two scary movies.
I love all birds but Crows still make me duck. Thankfully I never worried about taking a shower.
Hugs Cecilia
Both were scary as heck. I loved both movies though. I loved scary movies the very best. Love and hugs. 🙂
Ooh another creepy hotel. I’ll give it a miss & stay somewhere less murderous.
I wouldn’t stay there either. This movie was most frightening. 🙂
Like the Shining I haven’t seen Psycho either. I’m not really into horror movies.
Creepy movie! I always did like this one and other of the old ones.
Happy Wednesday! <3
I loved all of Hickcock’s work. He really got scary down to a fine science.
That was a good movie.
It sure was. I loved this movie. Happy rest of the week, Binky. 🙂
Now that’s a blast from the past! So iconic. It’s interesting how it’s stood up after all these years. It certainly still evokes feelings of trepidation.
Hickcock’s work always stands up over time. He was brilliant. 🙂
A classic movie but such a eerie place. Great photo. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
It’s a classic, indeed, Patrick. I love horror movies. You have a wonderful rest of the week. 🙂
I still can’t watch that movie or even the TV show adaptations created around it. But, I will say that the image is beautiful in a creepy old timey way.
Some folks can’t take horror movies and some can. I did love this movie. 🙂
Such an iconic movie ~ the shower scene is a memorable one ~ Great BW photo ~ thanks,
Lots hugs and love to you and your family ~
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Yes the shower scene and seeing mom stays with me. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
What a great picture….and one of the first scary movies I ever watched!
A fabulous classic horror film. Hitchcock was most talented is scary. 🙂
That was a very scary movie back in the day, and probably just as scary now. The “music” from the shower scene is once heard never forgotten.
I hear you about the music. Hitchcock was a master at horror flicks. 🙂
With the musical score, that movie is one of the most effective at scaring the Bejesus out of you-especially that shower scene! Alfred Hitchcock made a name for himself with that movie!
I loved this movie. Happy Wordless Wednesday, my friend. Scritches to the pups. 🙂
I loved the movie and the TV show. Looks like a pretty scary place.
Me too. I’ve seen all the Hitchcock films. 🙂
Thanks, Sandee, for hosting and the shoutout
Happy Wordless Hum Day. My entries are numbered #53+54

I’m so happy I found you. Happy Wordless Wednesday, my friend. 🙂
Awesome – happy Hump Day
How coincidental!!! Mom and Dad watched the series finale of The Good Doctor starring Freddie Highmore. He played Norman Bates in the newer TV version of the story. Mom is really going to miss The Good Doctor – one of her favorite TV shows.
Woos – Misty and Timber
I’ve not seen that show. Need to check it out. Scritches to the pups. 🙂
My all-time favorite movie!!!
I love this movie, too. 🙂
Very influential film redolent of it’s time!
Exactly. Scritches to Pixie. 🙂
A fascinating film, but there’s no way I could stay in such a place.
Almost forgot to say, I do pray you and Mr. Zane have a great rest of the week. Give Lil’ Bit and Squeakers an extra scritch from me.
We’re having a fabulous rest of the week. Love and hugs. 🙂
That makes two of us. Love and hugs. 🙂
Hitchcock’s genius was undeniable, especially in the way he built suspense. The shower scene still gives me chills every time I think about it.
I actually visited the set of the Bates Motel from Psycho as a part of the Universal Studios Hollywood backlot tour in 1990.
Thanks for hosting, Sandee!
You’re spot on. I would have loved to visit the Bates motel. Cool. 🙂
The picture of the house brings back memories ! We have visited the Universal Studio in 1971, and were thrilled about the balancing Rocking chair with a shadow sitting on it ! We were invited by my American aunt (sister of my mother) and it was great to see the studios. I have seen the movie on TV fortunately, because I think on a big screen the film would be more terrible !
This film scared me half to death. I love horror movies very much. Happy rest of the week, Gattina. 🙂
I haven’t seen the movie, but I’ve definitely heard of it and I would 100% not be staying at that hotel. 😉
That makes two of us. That movie was most scary. Hitchcock was a master at scary. 🙂
I love horror movies 😀
Me too, Kinga. Have a great rest of the week. 🙂
That was a super creepy motel! Thank you for being here and always bringing smiles to all of us. Have a blessed and beautiful weekend. It is coming up quickly. Hugs across the miles and many smiles.

The movie scared me half to death. I loved it though. Love and hugs, my friend. 🙂
Want to know something weird? I’ve never watched the entire film start to finish. I’ve seen all of it over the years, but just in bits and pieces. One day I really should watch the whole film straight through.
It’s a great movie. It’s scary but great. 🙂
My dear, departed mother couldn’t take a shower for a long time after viewing this in the theater. Hugs and blessings, my dear.
I hear you. I was a bit hesitant after I saw this movie, too. 🙂
