Kaua’i Hawaii

Brilliant sunsets, pristine beaches, aquamarine skies – Kaua’i has mastered seduction. But the oldest island in the Hawaiian chain doesn’t have to resort to over-the-top luxury or tourist traps to entice; instead, it appeals to a no-muss, no-fuss type of traveler. Resorts are no taller than a coconut tree (literally). You prefer rural to resplendent? Kaua’i’s your island – there are only two major highways, and some regions can only be explored on foot or via one of the Resorts. Source: U.S. News

It is beautiful. We went there on a cruise some years ago and visited several of the islands. I wish I could go back but am no longer able to fly.

    • Sandee says:

It’s a wonderful island to relax. Time slows down. You can tell the folks that have just come in from the mainland. In a hurry. In a couple of days they aren’t in a hurry anymore. 🙂

  2. Keith's Ramblings says:

I’ve always been put off going to Hawaii because of its glitzy over-the-top image, but this sounds like my kinda place! I felt the same about Greek islands until I discovered Samos which is small and un-commercialised.

    • Sandee says:

I would love to go for about 10 days on this island. Almost booked it a while back. Glad I didn’t with the current issues. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I don’t want to have our boat in the ocean. Bays yes, but not the ocean. Our boat if coastal certified, but it’s small out there in that big water. 🙂

Being part of this blog hop is such a joy! I love seeing all of the images and explanations every week.

This image of Kaua’i is like a window into paradise! The vibrant greens and pinks paired with the natural beauty of the landscape are simply mesmerizing. It’s moments like these that make me grateful for the wonders of nature. Thank you for sharing this visual feast!

    • Sandee says:

It is paradise indeed. I would love to spend a couple of weeks in a condo on the beach. Wonderful. Scritches to the pups and a hug to you. 🙂

  4. Kitties Blue says:

Sandee, that is so gorgeous. Mom and Dad have never been to Hawaii. It is such a long trip from the East Coast. That’s why they go to the British Virginia Islands to enjoy a piece of paradise. Thanks, as always for linking us up. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

  5. Suzana says:

The panoramic is fabulous! I wonder how it looks the beach!
I hope there is a parallel universe in which I’ll visit this place!
Happy WW, dear Sandee! Thank you for the Blog Hop.
    Gugs and a fantastic week!❤️😘

    • Sandee says:

Kauai is a most beautiful island. Of all the islands this one is my favorite. I would love to spend a couple of weeks there and enjoy the slow place and tranquility. Hugs, my friend. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

We won’t go again either, but we’re glad we got to visit some years back. You’re welcome for the hosting and thank you for all you do. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

It’s a far slower pace there. I remember getting there and going a million miles a minute. Within a couple of days I was laid back and going slow. Wonderful. 🙂

Beautiful getaway! I can feel that cool breeze. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful Wednesday. Hugs & Love my friend.

Oh I am late always and forever. I wish I could have more time in the days somedays. Most days. Anyway I love your beautiful share. A relaxation place…ah….. to dream about! I have combined all week through today here on this post. I had a lot to catch up on! Thank you always for being so gracious and kind.

  8. messymimi's meanderings says:

That’s a place I’d love to live full time, if my home weren’t here.

I pray you are recovered and all is well, I wish you and Mr. Zane a blessed and beautiful rest of the week and many scritches to Lil’ Bit and Squeakers.

    • Sandee says:

I remember going there for the first time in the 80s. It was the first island we visited. When we left to go to the next island I didn’t want to go. So beautiful. 🙂

  9. Debra | Gma’sPhoto says:

I would enjoy going to Hawaii, but probably won’t make it there. Seeing pictures like this is beautiful but I am sure it’s even prettier in real life. Thank you for sharing. It’s 2nd to being there!!
Thank you for hosting. I have linked up with #59.
    Take care and best wishes.

  10. Smudge says:

Beautiful picture! We can almost feel the warmth coming through the laptop screen. Now if some of that warmth can spread to our area we’d be happy.

  11. Rosey says:

Wow, a place where the buildings are not taking over the skyline? Impressive. I don’t really mind the tall buildings, but I’m sure it’s so nice to see nature instead. Have a wonderful day!

  12. A ShutterBug Explores says:

Hawaii is always so beautiful ~ sorry for lateness ~ got a bit distracted with tasks ~ hugs,

Hugs and love to you from me and Ziggy ~

    • Sandee says:

It sure is and Zane and I enjoy cruising from San Diego to the islands some years back. A fabulous vacation. Love and hugs back, my friend. Scritches to Ziggy. 🙂

  13. Tony McGurk says:

What a beautiful photo Sandee. I know the name of those flowers but it escapes me at the moment. We had them growing when we lived in Tropical Queensland before we returned to Tasmania. Gosh that’s been 18 years ago now when we came back home. Time sure flies.
