Inn at Death Valley
Hubby and I wanted to visit Death Valley some years back and it didn’t work out. A couple of weeks ago I booked a three night stay at the Inn at Death Valley. We’re looking forward to visiting a place we’ve not been to in over two decades.
Linking up with a bunch of fantastic peeps from the blogosphere who host Wordless Wednesday – Betty, Steve, image-in-ing, Xmas Dolly, Keith, Cathy, Sara, Esme Salon, CatSynth, and Suzana.

We\re fine here, Marie. I love you back. 🙂
I have crossed the Death Valley long time ago, it was in 1971, and I doubt that this beautiful inn existed !
It was built in 1927, but it’s not something you can see from the main highways. 🙂
Well how pretty that is. I hope you enjoy your stay.
The last time we were there we couldn’t afford to stay here. Now we can so we’re going to enjoy it. 🙂
i hear on TV it is even hotter there now than normally. be careful of the heat.
We’re going in January. It’s nice that time of year. It may rain, but we don’t care about that. 🙂
Death Valley looks pretty alive and kicking to us, Sandee. We would love to stay there to see if it is😺Double Pawkisses for a wonderful day and week ahead🐾😽💞
It’s brimming with life. Such a beautiful place to explore. Double Pawkisses to you both and a big hug to Granny. 🙂
That looks fantastic, Sandee! Hope you and Zane have a wonderfully relaxing time.
I’m sure we will. We love Death Valley. 🙂
I hope you have a wonderful time there!
We’re hoping so too, Jackie. 🙂
With the heat wave, it should be a great time to visit. It looks like a really nice hotel. Hope you have a great time.
This is not a summer place. It’s a winter/spring place. 🙂
I hope the massive heatwave tapers off by the time you get there, because it looks like beautiful country. Alana ramblinwitham
It will. It should be on the chilly side and that works for us. 🙂
I hope you and your hubby have a wonderful time, Sandee!
We have a wonderful time no matter where we are. Love you and your mom, Miss Molly. 🙂
I wonder if things will have changed, Sandee…
I’m sure it’s changed some. We loved it then and I’m sure we’ll love it when we go. 🙂
That looks like a beautiful place!
It’s a beautiful place indeed. 🙂
How exciting! Have a wonderful time while you’re there. Happy Wednesday!
We’re looking forward to a great time. Happy Wednesday, Eugenia. 🙂
❤️
It certainly looks like an oasis in the desert.
We like visiting new places with unique accommodations as well as returning to places that hold fond memories. Sometimes getting there isn’t as much fun as we remember. Have a wonderful visit.
We didn’t get to see everything we wanted to see the last time we were there so we’re looking forward to visiting those places. 🙂
Looks like a great place. Hope you have fun and enjoy it.
We loved it before and I’m sure we’ll love it this time too. 🙂
Not everyone can say they’ve stayed in Death Valley!
You’ll get extra street cred, for sure.
There are some motels there and many come to explore, but there’s nothing like the Inn at Death Valley. Beautiful place. 🙂
I didn’t know there was such a place in Death Valley. Have a nice stay!
It blends into the terrain. So beautiful. 🙂
I am glad you are going to finally get to go. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. XO
We’re glad too. To return to a place we had such a great time exploring is wonderful. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that will be a beautiful place for a getaway. I love mountain views.
Here’s hoping it isn’t quite so hot
Hugs Cecilia
It’s a beautiful place. The last time we were there we stayed in a motel. About a 2 on the scale of nice, but it’s all we could afford. We’re going to do the very best accommodations this time. Hugs. 🙂
It’s nice you will finally get to go.
I agree, Sharon. We’re looking forward to it. 🙂
Death Valley in July? You might as well call it Death Wish.
That’s why we’re going in January. I love you, Kismet. 🙂
Very interesting! Didn’t even know there was a place to stay in Death Valley. Enjoy!
There are more than one. Many go there to explore. 🙂
Hi Sandee, hope you and your husband have a fantastic time. It looks very interesting and I would love to hear about it. Have a blessed day. Thank you for all you do.
I’ll make sure I do some posts on our visit. We’re looking forward to revisiting. Hugs. 🙂
That place looks fabulous! Hope you have a great time and share your trip with us too. Always my pleasure to be here with you. Take care and enjoy your day.
It’s a beautiful place to explore, Anne. Love and hugs. 🙂
Hidden in the dark recesses of the internet are my comments. hahaha
This place looks terrific and hope you both have a fantastic time.
Enjoy your Wednesday!
Comments appear when they want to, Ann. Not to worry. Hugs. 🙂
Gosh, had no idea there were places to stay there. Hope it’s not too hot to enjoy.
There are a couple places to stay. We stayed in a cheap place the first time. Not this time. Scritches to Elsa and a hug to you. 🙂
Good for you guys! Enjoy. And stay hydrated. 😉
Lovely place ~ like the night photo the best ~
Lots of hugs and love from me and Ziggy ~ Xos

I would love to visit Death Valley.
It’s a magical place. You would love it. 🙂
The images are quite spectacular, but I really do not understand the cause of the colour from
the second image. It’s an effect from the sun? It looks beautiful but so strange…
Happy WW, dear Sandee! Have a fabulous week ahead! ❤️😘
It’s a night shot. Different lighting. Happy WW, Suzana. You have a fabulous week ahead too. 🙂
I love Death Valley! It’s a special, magical place for me. I have never stayed at the Inn, though.
Have fun! Of course, be careful with the extreme heat right now.
Same here. Hubby and I love the desert the very best. Beautiful and full of life. 🙂
Great photos. The trip should be fun! Just hope it’s not too hot given this summer’s heatwaves.
In January it’s perfect weather. No hot days at all. 🙂
Sounds so interesting! Wishing you lots of fun and photo opportunities. Keep cool! <3
I will take lots of photographs and then share them. 🙂
I’ve never been there. It looks like a great vacation spot. Have a great Wednesday!
There is so much to do there. We didn’t have enough time to visit all the places we wanted to go last time. We’ll do them this time. 🙂
Sandee, Enjoy the visit I hope it won’t be too hot when you go.
The record high in January is 68 degrees. It will probably be chilly and it might rain. We don’t care. 🙂
Death Valley is someplace I’ve always wanted to visit. This looks like a beautiful place to stay!
We love Death Valley. A beautiful place teaming with life. Scritches to the pups. 🙂

What fun! I know you will have a great time, and i do hope you have something fun planned for this weekend. Hugs!
We’re heading to the boat tomorrow to spend three nights. Just read and enjoy the nice weather. No triple digit weather this weekend. Love and hugs. 🙂
Sandee, a few years back Steve & I had a bunch of funny Camels we sent back & forth & when I found the one with lipstick he split a gut & we’ve been joking about it ever since. LOL Just something to do to lift spirits! You & your boyfriend there have a wonderful romantic evening I’m about to soak in the tub for a bit & sooth this leg/back of mine. Then back to sayin’ hello! HELLO again! Love U! I wish we lived close by sigh 🙁
I know Steve loves the lipstick camels. I love you, Marie. 🙂
Looks like a beautiful place to explore.
Hope you have a wonderful time.
Hugs and blessings, Sandee
We are looking forward to three days of exploration. Hugs and blessings, my friend. 🙂
I hope you’ll have a wonderful time! My teen is on a big road trip with his dad. They hit Indy, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, and then they’ll head to Texas for a few days before he heads back home. I’ve not been to some of those places and they are pretty great looking. The canyon dwellings in New Mexico are actually pretty amazing!! Have you seen them? I can’t believe people lived in them!
I know your son will have a great time. You can do what you want to do as well. You deserve the very best. 🙂
Enjoy! I am happy for you. Hugs, my dear.
We’ve not been anywhere for so very long. Home and the boat and that’s it. Hugs. 🙂
Looks amazing! Enjoy your stay at Death Valley Sandee.
We are so looking forward to our adventure, Sami. 🙂
I wasn’t aware of Death Valley so I Googled it – now I know why you are going in the winter!
It’s brutal in the summer months. The other day it was 130 degrees F. Way too hot. 🙂
Oh my goodness, that’s unimaginable!
Such a magical place. Did you enjoy your stay? What was the best part of your stay?
We won’t go until January, I’ll post about it after we return. 🙂
Death Valley…Wowzers! I would not want to be there right now, but it would be purrfect in January. We did NOT post yesterday. Mom totally forgot it was my birthday. (Jo Jo’s gottcha day is the day before (June 25 and she forgot that too. We had a couple of cooler days this week and because of the heat, she took advantage to do some canning. Thanks for the birthday wishes! I am one happy cat! I love you to bits Sandee and it is great to come and visit! Sending you whisker kisses and head bonks – your @1 Fan Boy, Marvelous Marv
I love you, Marv. I’m your number one fan. Love all of you. 🙂
Dear Sandee <3 <3
Been a while. I’ve been caught up with life. But always lovely to swing by.
I am curious to know why its called death valley? I get a spooky vibe too. Is it?
Sending you so much love and big big kisses. Miss ya.
Death Valley is in the Mohave Desert. In the summer it gets boiling hot and it’s vast. Back in the day of the wagon trains it took a long time to pass through. Many never made it. Love you Natasha. 🙂
That looks so amazing, do let us know how fabulous your trip was upon your return! Happy Caturday Sandee, we hope your weekend is fabulous!
I’ll take lots of pictures and do a post or two. We’re on our boat. It’s a happy weekend. 🙂
Dad says he and mom have never been there, but it looks like a place they’d like to visit someday.
We’re looking forward to our second visit. Been a long time, but we loved it so. 🙂
That’s a really pretty place in Death Valley! I didn’t even know there was a place like that there. I am glad you will be going. Stay cool! 🙂
It’s a vast place teeming with life. We are so looking forward to our visit. 🙂
I didn’t know there was such a place in Death Valley.
What a beautiful place to explore!
Hugs and blessings, Sandee
There is and it’s most beautiful. Can’t wait to go. 🙂
Hope you have a great time and enjoy your stay. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for me.
We’re not going until January, Nancy. Too hot right now. It was a 130 degrees last week. 🙂
