WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.
For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.
Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.
The Fortress Resort and Spa in Galle, Sri Lanka, claims to sell the world’s most expensive dessert at a base price of $14,500 U.S. The Fortress Stilt Fisherman Indulgence — created by special request only — pays homage to stilt fishing, a decades old livelihood that, although dwindling, still is practiced along the country’s coast. EEK! That is quite expensive. Beautiful though. Thank you so much for hosting and leting me break the rule by adding words to my post.
-Soma
I couldn’t believe the price tag. It is beautiful though and it honors all those fishermen. I’m a rule breaker too. There is nothing wrong with breaking rules. Just have fun. 🙂
I got that darn space again between my pictures & the video I posted… what do I do wrong. I start with a new space not over anything and still I get this… 🙁 its getting very depressing. Please let me know what I’m doing wrong!!!! Luv U!!!! I have doctor’s on Thursday & I’ll let you know why & what happened in email… okeee dokeee? Have a great day my sista!!! HUGS
I have changed your posts to classic editor. I think that would be far easier for you. I want you to try that. You have a great day too, Marie. I love you. 🙂
Sounds good to me and what a nice photo too 🙂
Have a spatastic week and WWS and thanks for hosting 👍
I thought it was unique and very expensive. You have a spatastic week too, Steve. 🙂
Wow, that is pretty expensive! It is very pretty but doesn’t look very filling.
You do see the jewel you get with each serving. I’m thinking that’s where the money is. 🙂
Well, the trip to go try it would be fun. I wouldn’t pay that much for dessert though. Never. Never. 🙂 Have a wonderful Wednesday!
I’d love the trip there too. I’ll come with you and we’ll spend our money on other things. You have a wonderful Wednesday too. 🙂
Best idea I’ve heard all week. 🙂
Now that’s quite the revelation. Didn’t know Galle had one of the most expensive desserts.
Looks fancy but not what I’ll choose, rather afford to choose. Lol!
Have a lovely week ahead sweetheart. Hugs <3
I didn’t know it either, but I would love to visit there. You have a lovely week my sweet Natasha. Hugs. 🙂
That is so interesting! Before I read your explanation, I thought it was a work of art, or a cat toy. It’s too bad this dessert will only be eaten by those with money to burn. It does tickle my fancy, though.
I would love to see this dessert in person, but I wouldn’t pay for one even though you get the jewel with it. 🙂
That is an amazing dessert, but way to fancy to even think about eating, especially after paying for it.
I wouldn’t spend this kind of money on a dessert. Even with the jewel they give you. Way to much. Happy WW. Scritches to the furbabes. 🙂
The image is nice, but the idea is quite crazy. But I can bet that are people who will pay for it!
I wonder how safe it is…
Thank you for this coloured news, Sandee!
Happy WW and a fine week! Hugs!😘❤️
I’m sure there are or they wouldn’t have it on the menu. I hope that jewel is worth it. Hugs. 🙂
That’s a beautiful dessert, but I’m thinking I have some better uses for that money. 😸 Happy Wednesday, Sandee!
I know I have better uses for my money too. Happy Wednesday, my friend. 🙂
I think I’ll stick to a common candy bar and spend money somewhere else. Like maybe a world cruise. Alana ramblinwitham
That makes two of us, Alana. A world cruise is a far better way to spend that money. 🙂
is there a blog somewhere called Weird Wednesday? that is where this dessert belongs. and the price has my eyebrows touching my hair line in shock… yowsa
That would be a good place for this dessert…Weird Wednesday. Happy rest of the week, Sandra. Scritches to Beau. 🙂
Yikes! It’s pretty but there’s no chocolate!!! MOL
I agree with you. Chocolate is a favorite of mine too. 🙂
WOW, that is some expensive dessert!
I love finding stuff like this. Amazing what some folks will spend on a dessert. 🙂
I’m pretty sure we won’t be ordering seconds of this. lol Good golly is that ever expensive! I betcha it isn’t as good as one might think with that price tag. Thanks for hosting the mid-week fun, Sandee. Have a not-so-Wordless Wednesday, my dear!
It’s the jewel that runs the price up. Not so much the dessert. Happy Wednesday, my friend. 🙂
The crazy world we live in.
It gets crazier and crazier too. 🙂
An artistically displayed dessert, indeed! A bit pricy for me. Happy Wednesday!
Way out of my league. Happy Wednesday, Eugenia. 🙂
That’s one thing I’ll never taste.
That makes two of us, Binky. 🙂
I can think of many things other than that to spend money on, if I had that to spare. 🙂 Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. XO
I can as well, Ellen. I’m just fascinated with folks that will spend this much money on a dessert. You have a great day too. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
I am surely 100% Wordless
Hugs and happy remainder of your week and weekend
Cecilia
That makes two of us. I can’t imagine. Happy remainder of the week and weekend too. Hugs. 🙂
If you weren’t wordless before, the tab for this dessert will leave you speechless. So tell me again why it’s worth $14,500. Yep, I thought so. Just bring me a slice of apple pie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Have a blessed day.
I’ll have the apple pie with vanilla ice cream too, my friend. Have a blessed day. 🙂
It looks good but I think I will pass on that one. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
I know I’d pass on this. Way out of my price range. You have a wonderful rest of the week, Patrick. 🙂
Wow, that’s alot of money for dessert! LOL Have a great week!
It’s the jewel that runs the price so high. Have a great rest of the week, Yvonne. 🙂
Wow.
http://www.rsrue.blogspot.com
I agree, Regine. 🙂
Quite the photo but not impressed ~ that money could feed a family for quite some time ~
Lots of hugs and love to you from me and Ziggy ~
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
It sure could. I wouldn’t spend this on a dessert either. So many other ways to spend this kind of money. Love and hugs to you and Ziggy. 🙂
Well, what do you know about that?
I know I wouldn’t have this dessert, but I’d love to see who would order this. 🙂
$14,500 U.S???!!!! You don’t say!
No thanks!
Hugs and blessings, Sandee
No thanks for me too, Veronica. Way out of my league. Hugs and blessings back. 🙂
What a beautiful dessert….I would never be able to bring myself to eat it(which is good…because I would NEVER pay that much LOL).
I’m with you. I can’t imagine. 🙂
I find McDonald’s desserts expensive! I’ll give this a miss!
It’s a miss for me too, Keith. I do like McDonald’s hot apple pie though. 🙂
The best!
We would love to have a fisherman’s plate, to do all the fishing for us, Sandee…but not at any purrice😸Double Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead dear Sandee🐾😽💞
I hear you. Fish is a far better thing for you two than dessert. Double pawkisses back and a hug to Granny. 🙂
Wow, that is an insane price! But looks really interesting./
I loved the history of this dessert. Happy rest of the week. 🙂
W O W ! I suppose beauty is in the eye of the uber rich! Pretty but too pricey!
I think you’re right about that. It’s pretty and I love the history, but the price? Not so much. Hugs. 🙂
I don’t know what this is exactly, but it has the look of a fish, so I freaked a little bit. My phobia is fish.
Anyway, hope your Wednesday is going good. <3
No this is a dessert with a jewel. The jewel is the expensive part. Happy Wednesday, Barbara. 🙂
Beautiful things can be expensive! That us quite unique.
It is unique, but way to expensive for my blood. Hugs. 🙂
Hmmmm…. me and linky and blogger and wordpress and all the rest have a really hard love/hate relationship. SO I am here too https://nnesphamily.blogspot.com and https://mytatascottage.blogspot.com
Beautiful things can be very costly. Very unique though.
You’re linked up just fine, Anne. I’m sorry you’re having issues. Hugs. 🙂
Holy smokes! Gorgeous photo but I’ll pass on the dessert and go to Europe First Class!
There you go. I’m with you. Love and hugs all around. 🙂
I bet that not one of those traditional stilt fishermen to whom that dessert supposedly pays homage could afford to actually order it. Nor could any normal person. $14,500 is about four times what I spend on food in a whole year. I don’t want to think about what the actual meal before the dessert must cost.
The post I linked to this time has a video, not a photo, but it is “wordless” in the sense that nobody speaks any words in it, though there is a lot of growling.
I hear you. Way to pricey.
I don’t care if you break the rules. The rules are just a guideline. I just want you to have fun. I found your video most entertaining. 🙂
It’s very pretty andI’m sure delicious but who could enjoy that??? So much money…would it really taste THAT good?
It’s the jewel that comes with it that’s so expensive. 🙂
It does look pretty, but not something I will be ordering!
That makes two of us. Happy rest of the week, Jackie. 🙂
Okay, so why does it do anonymous for my name at places & not others? hmmm Anyway, I miss you!!! Are you tired of me already? Yeah, you probably are. I’m sorry. I won’t bother you so much anymore. 🙁 Thank you for all your help though. You have lots of friends I see that’s cuz you’re so darn likable/lovable!!! Have a great day my sista!!! HUGS I’ll go see about what you told me and what that is… thanks! It’s a beautiful day and I don’t feel too bad, so we’re going to go for a walk by the park! Later!
I’m not tired of you at all. Blogging is difficult at times. not to worry. Love you. 🙂
I followed the link and read about the dessert. It includes an 80-carat aquamarine, i think that accounts for most of the price tag. I wonder if they’d make it for you without that and what they’d charge.
Anyway, it’s a beautiful dessert but i’m also happy with a vegan chocolate chip cookie, so that will do.
I hope you and Mr. Zane have a wonderful weekend planned, hugs!
It does indeed. You got that, but many didn’t. It is beautiful and a tribute to the fishermen. Have a great rest of the week, you two. Hugs back. 🙂
Interesting. Enjoy your weekend, my friend🤗.❤️
You do the same, Michelle. Big hug. 🙂
Almost too pretty to eat and definitely out of my price range for dessert. LOL! Happy Wednesday!! =)
Way out of mine too, Jen. Thanks for linking up. 🙂
I would not have guessed that was a dessert unless I read it. No way would I ever pay that much for something I’m going to eat. That’s just crazy
There is the jewel though. That’s where all the money goes. 🙂
not thinking I will ever have that dessert
I won’t either. The gem is the expensive part. 🙂
Whoa…that’s quite the dessert! I’m sure I could get by with a simple chocolate mousse. LOL
Me too. It’s the jewel that’s the expensive part. 🙂
Guess I’ll always be a mousse girl-no jewels in my future. 😉
Oh man! Even if I had loads of money to spend, I don’t think I could ever buy it without freaking out! I guess that is what comes from always watching my pennies 🙂
We watch our pennies too. I’m with you. Happy weekend. 🙂
that was something new. COOL!
I thought so too. 🙂
Wow! Thanks for sharing, my dear, and best wishes.
I’m on one of those boats down there. Beautiful. More hugs. 🙂
