Karpathos (Greek: Κάρπαθος, pronounced [ˈkarpaθos]), also Carpathos, is the second largest of the Greek Dodecanese islands, in the southeastern Aegean Sea. Together with the neighboring smaller Saria Island it forms the municipality of Karpathos, which is part of the Karpathos regional unit. Because of its remote location, Karpathos has preserved many peculiarities of dress, customs and dialect, the last resembling those of Crete and Cyprus. The island has also been called Carpathus in Latin and Scarpanto in Italian. Source: Wikipedia

I could handle being there for a month or so. Lovies to Luke. 🙂
Karpathos must be off the beaten tourist path. It sounds fascinating and looks beautiful! 😍 Too bad we missed it! (Went from Rhodes directly to Crete.) Thanks for the info, Sandee. 🙂 Happy Wednesday.
I love being off the beaten tourist path. That way you really get to see Greece. Happy Wednesday, Debbie. 🙂
Ahhhhh to see the world. Me? If I could I would be satisfied with just one place… any place to see the sites. It has to be old though like Rome or Hawaii or where the Alamo is. I saw Lincoln’s cabin & Mr. Foster’s place where he stayed I think it was his girlfriend’s house. Then again I love Museums too! Oh well, guess I’m not much of a traveler. I would never go on a cruise ship either. Titanic really got burned into my brain I’ll tell ya! hahaha Luv ya girl have a GREAT day. If you go anywhere please take lots of pictures for me so I can feel like I been there too! SENDING BIG HUGS & SMOOCHES!!!
I loved traveling in my younger years. Hawaii is a great place to go. I’ve seen the Alamo, but I’m not much of a traveler either. Love you bunches honey. Big hug. 🙂
I saw Elvis’ front gates too with his outlined body dancin’ on it. hahahaha I also saw (hubby being a roller coaster nut.. I saw Kings Island, Cedar Point, Universal Studios, Great America here in Illinois & in Missouri. hahahahaha I love to play the games there and I like water rides that’s just about it. hahahaha Love you girl. HUGS GOODNIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!
wowee….look at all the posts! I slept in today and forgot to make a WW blog. Ah well next week! And this photo makes me want to go back to Greece! Have a lovely day toots! Cheers!
Sometimes sleeping is the better idea. Good for you. I’ve never been to Greece, but I’ve always wanted to go. 🙂
That looks very inviting, magical, and beautiful.
Woos, Lightning and Timber
Yes on all counts. Have a great Wednesday. 🙂
I want to visit Greece! Our friend Debbie shares the most glorious pictures of her island!
Yes, I follow Debbie too. She’s awesome. I love to go on her walks. 🙂
When I looked at the photo I thought it looked as if it could be in Greece. When I read the post, it was confirmed 🙂 Pretty scenery! I visited a few of the Greek islands many years ago.
Have a lovely week Sandee.

Hello Sandee, this did make me smile. Every October my boss and his wife spend a week or so in Karpathos unwinding after the busy summer season. He always says how beautiful it is and now I see he’s right!
