Milky Way over the Huangshan Mountains in China
An ancient saying in these parts goes something like this: ‘Once you’ve seen the beauty of this mountain, there’s no need to see another.’ The mountain mentioned is actually a range of steep, pine-clad peaks. Huangshan rises in a profusion of tall granite towers in eastern China’s Anhui province. On clear nights the Milky Way makes a spectacular backdrop, but most visitors see the spires in the daytime. Situate yourself on a high viewing platform and look out across the region: These granite giants are often shrouded in a mystical sea of clouds, giving the impression that they’re floating.
Absolutely stunning! 💖 Thanks for sharing such a beautiful vista and for hosting WW. Cheers!
