    Sandee,

What a beautiful creature! I’ve only seen swan from a distance. I’m not sure I’ve photographed one but I’d like to. Thanks for hosting the mid-week fun!

Beautiful! It’s amazing how slow and still they are above the water, while their feet and legs are going like mad under the surface. 🙂

Thanks for hosting, Sandee. Have a terrific Wednesday!

I love to watch the birds navigate through the water. They work very hard getting from point A to point B. 🙂

What a cool picture. Love how clear the water is to make such a nice reflection. With all the rain we’ve had of late, everything here is muddy and certainly no reflection would be possible.

While we were in Italy we went to the King’s hunting “lodge” palace and there was this beautiful waterway with swans swimming and enjoying their time there. It was so sweet!

This lovely image reminds me of a trip to Indiana. My husband and I hoped to enjoy the shores of Lake Michigan but biting flies drove us off. In a fun twist, the man made little pond just off our modest motel patio boasted swans and cygnets (!), not to mention an adolescent raccoon hanging out of the tree overhead. Fun memories.

I really like the picture for Monday, too! Take care, my dear.

A swan to offense to my presence once, while traveling with a group in Ireland. It didn’t bother anyone else…just me! When they fluff out their wings, they look frightening and huge!

  8. DrillerAA says:

Swans are graceful calming creatures. The past couple of years on of our local lakes has had a black swan in residence and it is a special sight to behold. Thanks for stopping by Driller’s Place and have a blessed week.

I love that photo! I love swans – from a distance and in pics, don’t like them chasing my and trying to nip me on my bum!

I’ve only seen it on TV. Pieces of it show up a lot on movies and television shows as well. I once saw Mikhail Baryshnikov dance because his troupe came to Scottsdale but I had seats way in the back so the dancers looked like tiny dolls. Ballet is very beautiful to watch.
