Thankful Thursday

I’m thankful that hubby and I laid his mother to rest on June 20. She was 96 when she passed and she was so very tired. Everything she wanted for her funeral we made sure happened.

I’m thankful that on the following day hubby and I took care of all our final arrangements. What greater gift to your family than taking that expense off their backs along with all your wishes. Mother did such a great job that we decided to follow her excellent lead.

I’m thankful that I’m finally feeling better. Hubby got sick when we were in Portland and when we got home I finally got sick. It was the worst cold I’ve ever had in my life. I had no energy and all I did was cough, cough and then after that I would cough some more. I was exhausted because of lack of sleep. I don’t get sick often, but this was The. Worst. Cold. Ever!

I’m thankful that Seymour the pet rock and his sidekick Element are here for a visit. Mike who resides in Colorado decided to send him back to California. I’m pretty sure that Judge Sandstone is going to be looking for him. We’ll be protecting a fugitive, but protect him we will.

What are you thankful for today?

So sorry you have been so sick. I had that about six months ago and it was horrible.
How nice to have a visit from Seymour the pet rock. I still have mine here. Sandee, you and Zane have a great day.

I hope you are much better now. I hate colds and cough because it usually ends up as chronic cough. It is good to make the necessary arrangement so that everything will be easy for everyone. Get well soon!

I'm so sorry to hear about Zane's mother. 96 is a full life and I sure she enjoyed a great deal during her life. My mother also arranged everything so that when the time came, it was a little easier for us. RIP
I'm sure glad that you both are feeling better after the sickness. It can sure knock you off for a loop. I hate the coughing the most.
Thankful, well it's waking up every morning to see the sun, my wife and to back pain, yes even pain because that means that God has given me another day of living, enjoyment, my wife and children and grandchildren and all of my friends and that includes you & Zane even though I've never met you both.
Have the best Thursday Sandee & Zane. See ya my friends.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. It's wonderful you were able to arrange her funeral to suit her last wishes. Glad you're feeling better. There's nothing worse than a cold or bug during the summer. Take care!

Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law! 96 years—we should all be so fortunate. Glad you and hubby are feeling better. Grateful I'm still kicking around—it is getting harder!

We just have had 3 of our 5 grandchrildren on a vacation stay. We are thankful because they wants to visit us, even the big boy at 17 year.

  8. Jennifer Humphries says:

Oh yuck, I am glad you are feeling better now. It's seems like every time we go on vacation, someone is going to get sick. Hopefully now that you are feeling better, you can successfully avoid any law enforcement related issues 🙂

    Sandee,

I am sorry to hear about your MIL…Blessings
However, it looks like you had quite a rock show.

I am thankful I have lots of books to read and review.
Now to slow down a bit, to visit bloggers I like.
I went to see the `Peanuts` movie this morning.
Kept dozing off. Think I saw most of it.
Next week I'll see Paddington (the Bear)

    Have a great weekend.

Please accept my condolences for the loss of your MIL. Even when it's expected, it's a painful and hard thing to lose a person you love so much.

May you stay healthy for a long, long time and enjoy the company of Seymour and Element! There has to be a back story to that, will i find it if i search your blog?

I've been thinking of you and Zane ever since hearing of his mother's passing. My Grandma had everything arranged for her funeral too and it definitely is a blessing for the family to not have those decisions and for everything to be just as they wanted. Anyway, sending more purrs and hugs to both of you.

Sorry you caught the cold from hell! Glad you're feeling better though. J was sick in Alaska after catching it from two of his minions at work. I'm pretty sure his coughing is what kept the bears away!

I'm thankful for a beautiful, sunny day home with my girls. I'm looking forward to a long weekend with J too. Hope you have a great day!

I'm just glad we didn't get any9one else sick. I hate it when we are to blame for that.

Thanks for the warm thoughts and all the purrs. It's most appreciated. 🙂

It's great to have a package that contains everything the survivor needs to know. Insurance policies, financial account info and who should be contacted are part of what should be included.

  14. Barb says:

    96. Wow. That is vertainly something, is it not?! hugs to you both.

I am totally with you on having all of your last wishes clearly expressed and legally drawn up so your loved ones don't have to wonder. Or fight. 🙂 Al and I both had our wills and our advanced directives updated. All of my sisters have copies and know where to find the originals. They also have the contact info for our attorney.

Glad your nasty cold is behind you. Sick sucks.

As you may have noticed, I'm not keeping up with blogs much anymore. Facebook is my right hand man. Or gal?

    big hugs hon. xoxo

    • Comedy Plus says:

Great to see you Barb. Yes I know you're a Facebook gal. It's all good.

We too have our wills and advance directives done. We just needed to take care of our funerals. Now that's done too. 🙂
