I’m thankful that next Monday we meet with the guy that’s going to do the next remodel of our boat. I will take before and after pictures. Lots of work this time around. New blinds on the portholes below, new canvas and screens, all new seating in the cockpit. I can’t wait. This is a huge face lift.
I’m thankful for my yacht clubs. Last Saturday night we had our holiday meal. Great attendance and it was good to see so many folks. We’d not been doing a lot because of Little Bit, so it was wonderful seeing faces that we’d not seen for a bit.
I’m thankful for central air and heat. It’s hot here in the summers and cold for a couple of months in the winter. It’s nice to be able to be comfortable.
I’m thankful that my husband is so attentive and kind. He remember things so very well. Twenty years ago today he told me he loved me for the first time. We’ll go out to dinner later today, and he’s the one that remembered this.
I’m thankful to live in modern times. We have so many conveniences that make life so much easier. I don’t want to take things like flushing toilets, dishwashers, ovens, cars and a long list of other things that make life so simple. I’ll also bet in 100 years they will look aback at these times and feel sorry we had things so rough.
I’m thankful I’m on the right side of the dirt too. We will continue to live life to the fullest.
So what are you most thankful for today?

I thankful you're going to take before and after pictures đŸ™‚ I'm really looking forward to seeing the transformation!
Not a problem. This is a huge upgrade/remodel. I can't wait. đŸ™‚
Can't wait to see the photos. So exciting for you!
Your husband is so sweet. I never remember dates like that.
At this very moment, I am thankful for the sun coming up over the horizon, giving me a gorgeous view out the window. I am also thankful for the thousands of people who have worked hard to put on a conference for Catholic youth from around the country. 25,000 teens are participating this weekend, including my daughter. Mostly I'm thankful that it's here in Indianapolis. đŸ™‚
We have dates all the time. I really enjoy that too. It's cheaper to eat at home, but it's such a treat to go out now and then. đŸ™‚
What a sweet husband you have for remembering that twenty year ago moment to celebrate today.
I am thankful to be living in a time and place where I have choices and comfort. I am thankful for my dog as well who is quirky and well loved by me and everyone who meets him.
I have a very sweet and loving husband. I'm a lucky gal. đŸ™‚
You (and I) have a keeper of a hubby for sure! Can't wait for the finished boat photos. I know how much you both enjoy your boating and that lifestyle.
I am grateful my sister is coming here soon. Blessed. We all are!
Big hugs, honey…
We sure do Sandy, we sure do. đŸ™‚
Zane is one terrific guy to remember this date 20 years ago. Yay Zane. We are also very thankful to be on this side of dirt. That is important. Sandee, we sure hope you and Zane have a wonderful day and a great dinner tonight.
He remembers dates way better than I can. He can remember seeing me some 45 years ago. I don't be he does. đŸ™‚
Way to Go Zane. You keep treating that wonderful woman the best. I'll keep thanking everything because there are so many things that I'm thankful for but the best one that I'll always be thankful for is my beautiful, wonderful, thoughtful and caring wife, Mary Lou, She's the love of my life. She's stayed with me through thick & thin for the last 42 years. Thank you my love.
Have a wonderful Thursday Sandee. See ya.
Cruisin Paul
Mary Lou and I are both lucky gals. Yes we are. đŸ™‚
I am thankful for my family and my life in general! xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody
Being thankful is easy to do if we just take the time to think about all the wonderful people, pets and activities that we love. đŸ™‚
Hah, the right side of the dirt! And living a wonderfully full life as well. Thanks for sharing this thankful snapshot into your life. I can't wait to see the remodel on your boat! The last one was great đŸ™‚
I always say the right side of the dirt. I got it from somewhere and it stuck. I can't wait for the remodel of the boat either. đŸ™‚
I'm always thankful for the continued good health of my family and myself, of course. This week I'm thankful knowing that both my girls will be home for Thanksgiving. That's frosting on my cake.
Oh, having family home for Thanksgiving is awesome. Enjoy. đŸ™‚
I don't have to do the thankful thing until next week.
Then enjoy the break. I'm not doing a meme, so I'll just do it when I think about it. đŸ™‚
I'm thankful to be friends with someone that has such a positive view on life. A friend that continues to remind me of what is truly important in this life. Thank YOU, Sandee for being that friend.
You're a young, working mom. That's a whole lot of stuff that you are involved in. đŸ™‚
Sandee, you both are so blessed to have each other. Looking forward to see the new work done on your boat.
Yes, and we both know it too Nancy. đŸ™‚
You have a lot to be thankful for, Sandee. Ours will be the "back in the good old days" a hundred years from now. Effiency minded people will some day be putting one or two 'toilet and bath' stations on each block.
The remodeling, I'm thinking it will put your boat out of commission for a bit? B-(
It will be out of commission for 6 to 8 weeks, but this is the time of year to do these things. It's slower for them and boating isn't in full swing. đŸ™‚
Oh my- so thankful for so many things! My sweet (forgetful) husband who takes care of our home and me so thoughtfully- he may not remember some things, but he is a constant reminder of how lucky I am. I am thankful for our pesky and adorable Lucy the Cat. I am thankful that this Thanksgiving we will be in Portland having Thanksgiving with all 3 of our kids. That has not happened for many years. Have a wonderful day Sandee!
Oh I know you're most thankful and I'm glad you have Miss Lucy. You know I love her too. đŸ™‚
I am so thankful for many, many things. Sandee, I look forward to seeing the photos!!! đŸ™‚
It will be a while. Have to get the work done to show the before and after. đŸ™‚
Today i'm thankful i have work, and a generous boss.
Those are good things to be thankful for. đŸ™‚
I love you my Darlin'. I'm looking forward to our next 20 years together.
Your Loving Husband
I love you too honey. I'm also looking forward to the next 20 years together. ♥♥♥
Aww! that was nice :-f
I'm thankful it didn't rain so much…well ya know what London weather is like heheh!
Have a wonderful dinner both of you :-h
I hear it rains a lot in London. It hardly ever rains here and that's not good. đŸ™‚
Dear Sandee, I am happy for you and the joy of all you shared.
I am thankful as well for so much each and every day. xoxo Catherine
You're also a very thankful person Catherine. It shows. đŸ™‚
I am ever so thankful to have grown up in what can only be described as the "Golden Age" of America, the 50's & 60's. I appreciate all of the things that we have today, but we truly had the basic things that made life easier even then. We had good cars, television, central heat & air, the telephone etc. Our lives were simply not as cluttered with "stuff" and the pressure to acquire more "stuff" didn't seem as prevalent. I don't necessarily long to return to those days, I am just thankful that they are a part of my life experience.
I was here in the 50s and 60s too. It was a different time indeed. đŸ™‚
I'm thankful for blog pals who leave me comments that make me laugh like the one you left for me today. And yes, I do wish they would quit and be replaced by awesome people đŸ™‚
Well, I kind of knew why your job makes you crazy already. I so remember those folks I had to work with back in the day. It's just a memory now. đŸ™‚
So many wonderful things to be thankful for! I'm thankful Isabella is doing better today and that we're all happy and healthy!
Hope you and Zane enjoy your dinner Sandee!
I'm happy Isabella is feeling better. She must have been pretty stressed. đŸ™‚
I think that boat of yours will be looking almost brand new by the time you're finished fixing her up.
It's going to look pretty new indeed Binky. That's the plan anyway. đŸ™‚
I am thankful for my mother, my children and my dogs/cat/birds/piggy. Life is good!
Sounds like your life is good. Excellent. đŸ™‚
Yay! I can't wait to see the transformation. Hugs! I'm glad you're getting out. I'm sure your friends miss Little Bit too. It'll help you both. I'm thankful for hubby and my family.
We are going more than we used to. It's good, but it's ever so hard. đŸ™‚
Yes, it's pretty amazing to think what the world will be like in 100 years. I know everyone will have medical devices attached to them (like the Fitbit bands we wear now) that track all of their health vitals…so people will know when they have cancer or heart issues. Can't wait to see pictures of the updated boat!
I think about the progress the last 100 years and it boggles my mind as to what will happen in the next 100 years. One thing for sure there will be all new people. đŸ™‚
I'm thankful for this beautiful weather we are having! đŸ™‚
Beautiful weather this time of year is a real plus indeed Spencer. đŸ™‚
Your list is a good one. I'm thankful that my children are healthy, happy and by my side. I'm thankful for my own good health too. And I'm thankful for famliy and friends. Looking forward to seeing your boat re-do!
We all have much to be thankful for, we just need to remember to give thanks. đŸ™‚
Your remodel sounds exciting! I am thankful that the constant construction that has around my home is almost completed. Over 3 years of waiting for workers or repairman is almost done.
Have a great remodel experience đŸ’™
Sounds like your remodel is exciting too. Won't you be happy when all of those workers are gone. I so get that. đŸ™‚
Aren't husbands and modern conveniences great? I'm thankful for how both my husband and my dad encouraged me to blog and support my aspirations to write. Sending my words into the world gives me a voice. I'm thankful for our houseful of critters who make me feel needed and loved every day. Their antics bring me happiness. I'm thankful for students and especially my writing club. They push me to be a better teacher and writer. All good stuff!
You've much to be thankful for Allison. đŸ™‚
I miss central heat and air conditioning. We don't have it in New Zealand. Seriously.
You don't need it? I would think it's cold in the winter and hot in the summer. đŸ™‚
