It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for. I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful that we were on our boat last night instead of handing out candy until 10pm or later. It was fun when we were younger, but it’s just not something we want to do anymore.
I’m thankful that it’s time for Thanksgiving in a few weeks. I love this time of year, but not when the weather turns cold. I’m a fair weather kind of gal.
I’m thankful for our good health. As we get older we watch those we love get sick and leave us. It’s the circle of life, but I’m thankful we’re still healthy. We know our day will come.
I’m thankful for all my blogging buddies. I enjoy visiting you and seeing what you’re up to. Some of you I love and you know who you are.
What are you thankful for today?
Wow, kids would come around that late at your house. Trick or treating ends at 8 around here.
I’m thankful for the job that I don’t want to go to this morning, the roof over my head and the food on my table.
Yes, kids would still be coming around at 10pm. We didn’t like it one bit. I know you’re thankful and you’ll really be thankful when your mortgage is paid off. 🙂
I am also thankful that I can relax and enjoy my retiring years. I am also thankful that a friend started me on blogging and getting to know you and others as well. Thankful that I have learned many new things since I started blogging.
You and I both are enjoying our retirement years. It’s a good thing. You work hard all your life and now it’s time to do what we want, not what others want. 🙂
I’d love to have a boat to go and chill on. Not really many places to go around here. There’s plenty of smallish lochs but none of them seem to have boats that aren’t just hire out for an hour ones.
We love our boat, Carry. It ever so wonderful to enjoy. We have lots of water here. We can travel from our marina all the way to the San Francisco bay and out to sea. 🙂
Oh that sounds amazing. What kind of boat is it? I don’t know much about boats but I like to be able to imagine things properly haha
We are so thankful for all the simple things, food for cats, roof over our heads and for all of our wonderful blogging friends. Sandee, you and Zane have a terrific day.
We are thankful for those things too. You have a terrific day too, Marg. Scritches to the kitties and Smoke and Joe. 🙂
Very important issue 🙂
Yes, being thankful is very important. 🙂
We are thankful Halloween is over and we’re really looking forward to the yummy season. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Our Little Bit hated Halloween. Okay she hated any disruption. I love your Thankful Thursday. 🙂
We don’t do Halloween persay. But we do have candy for the little tikes.
We put a bowl outside, and went to a pastor appreciation get-together.
When we came back home all the candy was gone 🙂
We don’t do Halloween at all. We leave home and come to the boat. Been doing this for years. It works for us. 🙂
Sandee, this year has gone by fast! I can’t believe it’s November. I do look forward to Thanksgiving & Christmas ((Hugs))
I love Thanksgiving and Christmas too. After Christmas is over then it would be spring. Hugs back. 🙂
I’m going to miss the horror movies of October, but I’m thankful Halloween is over. It was a lot more fun when our kids were younger.
I agree with you, Halloween was a lot more fun when the kids were younger. 🙂
They would come that late for trick-or-treat? Wow. Our city sets the time between 6 and 8. It rained here all day and night (still is) so we were less likely to have kids come by than usual. We had not a single knock on the door. It used to be big in our neighborhood. I have mixed feelings about that. Stay healthy!
Yes and the bus the kids in. It’s a madhouse for hours. We just don’t want to deal with it anymore so we leave. Many others in the neighborhood do the same. You stay healthy too. 🙂
I love all of your thankfuls Sandee. I am thankful that I am still alive, and maybe not in the best of health but I am still here. I too am also thankful for all my blogging buddies, especially you my dearest friend. Bunches of love and giant hugs my dear friend. ❤ 🤗
You are a thankful person too, Jody. We all have things to be thankful for. I’m thankful for you too, since you’re one of the ones I love. Hugs and love back. 🙂
Awww….I really do love you so much honey ❤ ❤
You’re a fair weather gal but not a fair weather friend.
That would be correct, Kismet. If I’m your friend, then I’m your friend always. 🙂
I’m with you on these!
I figured you would be, Joe. 🙂
Have heard that folks are petiioning for Halloween to only be held on Saturdays. WHA?!? But then again, we don’t participate with the whole sheebang anyhow.
No that’s not a good thing. Halloween is October 31 period. We don’t participate either, but changing the date is the wrong thing to do. 🙂
How nice to have a boat to hop on whenever you feel like it!
Happy Thursday, Sandee!
It’s most wonderful, Veronica. Happy Thursday to you too. 🙂
I am thankful for my calendar girl!
I know you are, Greg. I wish you two were together though. 🙂
Somehow, someway we will get together.
The older we get, the more appreciate we become. I know that has been the case with me.
Most of us are more appreciative when we get older. Some don’t like getting old so they are cranky. I know a couple of these people. 🙂
Thankful for my eyesight and the most beautiful autumn in several years to enjoy and photograph.
I have to wear glasses, but I’m thankful I can see too. There is so much beauty to enjoy. 🙂
Thank you for your kind comment on my header. I took the photo was taken about 4 or 5 years ago at Leadmine Lake about 4 blocks from home. I always thought it would be a great header but since it was “Madi’s” blog I never used it.
I found the perfect background on Pizap to go with it and of course you see Angel Madi approved.
Boy do I agree with this “I’m thankful for our good health. As we get older we watch those we love get sick and leave us. It’s the circle of life, but I’m thankful we’re still healthy. We know our day will come.”
See ya tomorrow
Hugs Cecilia
Your header jumped right off the page at me this morning. It’s beautiful.
Yes each day is a gift and I will enjoy each day that I get. Hugs back, my friend. 🙂
I’m glad the rain stopped yesterday, so the little ones could come by for candy. We only had about 12 in all, and called it quits at 9.
Your boat get-away sounds so nice! <3
We love to come up and spend Halloween on the boat. It’s always a good thing. 🙂
Nice things to be thankful for. I am thankful for the heaps of candy siting on my kitchen today 🙂
Even better if it’s good candy. 🙂
Happy November, Sandee! As always, and forever, I am thankful for you and your kind and loving spirit that just bursts thru space and time and my computer screen! 😀 – I am thankful you have that amazing boat of yours. I am thankful for life. Just life. All of my loves, the sunshine, the rain and everything in between. I am thankful for great dr reports and for feeling reborn. This list is truly endless. 🙂
You leave some amazing comments here too, Karen. You and I would get in a lot of trouble if we were near each other. Good trouble. I’m thankful for life too. It’s a precious gift. 🙂
We had a fun time handing out candy, they always go from 6-8pm and that’s it. Anyone who comes after that can help her/himself from the bowl, we always have plenty.
Happy November!
Six to eight is reasonable. Any longer than that and I’m exhausted. That’s why we come to the boat every year. We’ll head home today. 🙂
Hubby hands out candy here. Tyebe helped this year by running out and away. Hubby looked so funny trying to catch her. I had the bright idea of getting her vest/harness on befor ethe kids started coming as she is easier to catch with that metal knob on the vest. I did good for a change.
Jean
I’m glad you thought of the harness. They are indeed easier to catch when they are wearing their harness. Good job. 🙂
It must have been fun on the boat last night. We had plenty of trick or treaters last night come by the office. Next we are very happy that Thanksgiving is coming soon. Always good food when this time comes around. Thanks for the share. Have a great day.
It was a very fun and quiet evening. There were others that came to their boat to get away from Halloween. 🙂
Sandee,
I’m thankful for two good follow up appointments & my little granddaughter! 🤗
Aren’t granddaughters fun. Mine is 27 and pregnant with twins. I’m thankful for that too. 🙂
I am totally thankful! Tomorrow is the first day of the first real vacation I’ve had in 20 years! I am sorry I’ve not had a chance to comment this week and comments will be sparse over the next few weeks too. I will be reading, but its hard to comment from my tablet.and I am leaving my computer at home!

Enjoy your vacation. Wow, not had one in 20 years? You’re way overdue. Have fun. 🙂
I love how you get to spend Halloween. We don’t do Halloween in our country. I would have loved to hand out sweets and candy 🙂
I was a fun thing to do when we were younger. Now it’s not and it’s hours and hours of candy. Very expensive too. 🙂
I missed the link up party yesterday (probably recuperating from grandbabykin Halloween activities!). I’m thankful Entrepreneur and I are able to be an intricate part of our grandchildren’s lives, and for his ability to enjoy our time together with them. Hope you have a lovely weekend. xoxo
Being with your grand-babies is the greatest of all. My oldest grand-baby is 27 and we’re very close. So fun to watch them grow up and becomes adults. You have a lovely weekend too. 🙂
I’m thankful to be retired and the beautiful gold and magenta leaves in my area.
So thankful for great blogs like yours! Health and happiness rank right up there too. And retirement. Definitely thankful for retirement. 😄
