It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for. I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful that my granddaughter is pregnant. She is having twin boys and her and her partner are quite surprised about that. Grandma and Grandpa are going to get to spoil more great grand-babies. Our hearts are full!
I’m thankful that we are getting ready for the annual yacht club bay cruise. It’s a small group this year and it will make for less stress. The more people the more time it takes to get it done. Like docking and leaving the dock. Sometimes you’re stacked up for quite a while.
I’m thankful that we still have freedom. Enjoy it.
We’ve had lots of wildfires in California and I just want to say: Thank you firefighters!
What are you thankful for today?
Those Firepeeps are just soooo BRAVE!!!! They certainly deserve lots of thanks and licky kisses
Loves and licky kisses
Princess Leah xxx
Yes they are, Princess Leah. We don’t say thank you enough. Loves and licky kisses back. 🙂
I am thankful and grateful for firefighters too. They are real heroes and are often taken for granted.
Thank you for the reminder to be thankful for them, Sandee.
Yes they are often taken for granted. I ran into a veteran yesterday and thanked him for his service. 🙂
Some wonderful things to be grateful for. I’ve always been amazed at the courage of firefighters, true heroes. Such exciting news about your granddaughter, do you know when she’s due? ♥
Caz xx
Yes, very exciting news about two twin boys. We are thrilled. 🙂
Congratulations to your granddaughter and to you as well. Not one but two new babies in the family.
Those firefighters do deserve a ton of gratitude for all they do fighting those fires.
Not one but two is right. Our granddaughter was very surprised. Yes on the firefighters. 🙂
Kudos to the firefighters. Maybe I’ve said it already, I’ve said it a lot lately… I’m thankful for my job. I switched schools this year and I went from a very stressful environment to teaching in one that is amazing. What a world of difference. My stress level is zero and everyone is so well behaved. My job is a huge blessing and I’m very grateful/thankful for it. 🙂
I know you’re very happy about your new job. I’m happy for you. Some places are awful and others are wonderful. I’m glad you found wonderful. 🙂
Yes, thank you to all the firefighter, volunteer & paid, for daily risking their lives.
Have a great Thursday, Sandee ♥ I have a post today 🙂
They are working hard here in California. We have firefighters from all over the place including other countries. You have a great Thursday too, Michelle. 🙂
That is a wonderful thing to be thankful, those wonderful firefighters. We are thankful for our good home and good food. Sandee, you and Zane have a terrific day.
Yes, I’m thankful for having a home and food. It’s the simple things that are the most important. 🙂
Firefighters are true heroes! Hooray for little twins on the way, that’s wonderful. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Yes they are and we are excited about the little twins. And boys too. We’ve not had boys in a very long time. 🙂
They really are true heroes, just like policemen and women, they all put their lives on the line for all of us everyday. I am thankful for all firefighters, and police men & women. Have a great Thursday Sandee.
((HUGS)) & bushels of love to you ❤ 🤗
Thank you, Jody. Sometimes they are thankless jobs. I so remember. You have a great Thursday too, honey. 🙂
Lots of things to be thankful for.
Twin grand-babies! How wonderful!
Hope your Thursday is full of fun & wonder. ♥
I have to go renew my drivers license this afternoon. Just a eye test, thumb print and new photo. Oh well, that’s about all the fun and wonder for me today. 🙂
Nice poat as always Sandee and agree about firefighters they do a brilliant job 🙂
Have a thankfultastic day 🙂
They sure do a brilliant job indeed, Steve. You have a great day, my friend. 🙂
Twins! Congratulations, twice!
The firefighters are my heroes, too.
Yes twins. We are excited.
Yes firefighters are heroes. Not an easy profession. 🙂
I am so thankful for these brave men and women.
Me too, Kathe, me too. 🙂
We still have freedom?
Actually we do, Kismet. It’s being replaced by security too often, but we still have freedom. 🙂
wonderful list of positives in life ~ especially the Firemen! ~ Xox from Ms. Z ^_^
Happy Day to you,
A ShutterBug Explores
Yes, especially the firemen and women. Xoxo to Ms. Z and you two have a happy day. 🙂
So many wonderful things to be thankful for. Hope the yacht cruise goes very well. Mom has twin grands, a boy and a girl. A lot of work for the first year, but oh so much fun to watch them grow. Congrats to your granddaughter and all the best for a healthy pregnancy and delivery.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I’m hoping it does too. Putting them together can be trying, but we’ll get it done. The grand is having a bit of a rough spot now, but she’s doing what the doctor wants her to do. So good prognosis. 🙂
My mother says that she always wanted twin boys, with blond hair and blue eyes. Instead, she had six single births; four girls, two boys, and none of us have blue eyes! However, my eldest sister had identical twin girls, and now they have babies, and our family cup runneth over. 6 kids, 13 grands, 8 great grands…to date. My father is enjoying all the babies from heaven; he really loved babies!
I had blonde hair and blue eyes when I was little and then my hair turned brown. You’ve got a big family. I had two aunts and uncles that has 12 kids each. When the three families got together we had a whole bunch of folks. 🙂
So much to be grateful for! Especially real-life heroes! Congratulations on your upcoming twin grand-babies! How exciting! 😀 ♥
Yes on both counts, Linda. 🙂
Congratulations! And firefighters are definitely heroes. Have a blessed day!
I agree with you, Darla. You have a blessed day too. 🙂
Absolutely thankful there are those who put their lives on the line to help others. Firefighters and law enforcement (along with many other public servant positions) are thankless jobs. My prayers go out to all those fighting the fires in the northwest states.
Well said, Lisa. My prayers go out to all of them too. 🙂
Well, we are probably still a couple of years out from becoming great-grandparents but I know your hearts are joyful at the thought of spoiling great-grandkids. First responders often do thankless tasks and go unnoticed. I saw on the news where a group of the firefighters are now headed to Hawaii to be ready to respond to any emergencies that result from Hurricane Lane. Their work is never done.
I am thankful that we have had a very wet summer. It still looks like spring in the Ozarks and that could mean a glorious explosion of fall color. Have a blessed cruise.
It’s ever so dry here. We rarely get rain between May and November and it’s ever so hot. I’ll be glad when it cools down and we have some decent air to breathe. I’m glad you’ve had a wet summer. I would love it to be warm and rain a lot. More weeds for us to pull that way. 🙂
I bet you see firefighters in a whole other way than the rest of the world except for maybe New Yorkers. Congrats, granny and that cruise sounds like a hoot. Since you just stopped by I’ll say I’m thankful we didn’t get that mess.
We don’t have any forest management anymore and the fires are a result. The environmentalists are to blame. They won’t admit it, but they are. So sad. 🙂
Thankful for all the firefighters that have worked so hard in Calif and Montana this yr so far. Met a lovely young woman and hubby back in 2011 at my son’s wedding that live up north Calif. and had to leave home for over a week. Luck had it that they were missed (the house) by the fire but it got the fields. They are lucky.
So many fires. Had some boating friends that were up in Canada for over a month and the fires up there are awful too. Forest management is so needed. Yes the firefighters work so very hard. 🙂
We should all thank firefighters, they are true heroes.
They sure are, Ellen. 🙂
I always wave to fire trucks and the heroes they carry. Imagine a world without them.
I can’t imagine a world without them. 🙂
Good news for the great grandparents, and everyone in the family! Thankful for the firefighters, and those who are doing their best to make our lives safer and more comfortable.
We are so very happy about the babies. Have a great day, Nancy. 🙂
Twin great grand babies! How fun!
I am grateful for fire fighters and first responders everywhere who do such a marvelous job every day.
Well for us, but not so much for their parents for the first year or so. Yes on the fire fighters and first responders. 🙂
