It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful for rain. We had two days and nights of gentle rain. We are so happy about that. We live in a desert in central California. The average rainfall here is 13 inches per year. That’s not very much when the average rainfall in the U.S. is 38 inches. We love it when it rains. Our air was filled with smoke from fires and dust from knocking nuts. The fresh air is amazing.
I’m thankful that we turned off the water for our lawn. We’ve not done it this early in years. We know this winter will be mild, but the rain is most welcome anytime it wants to show up.

I am thankful for rain too. Without rain, even the plants thirst.
Love the clean air. So wonderful, Nancy. 🙂
Rain is such a blessed thing when you need it!
It sure is, Miss Molly. 🙂
Happy to hear you got rain. It’s nice when it’s a gentle rain that lasts. We had a downpour yesterday. It was crazy hard, but it only lasted a few minutes. Have a happy Thursday.
Ours was gentle and so wonderful to watch. Other areas had downpours. Made us smile for two solid days. 🙂
We don’t mind rain as long as it is not early morning when we are out. There is a bit if a drought here, so we do need some rain. Glad rain makes you happy and you got some.
I hear you on that point. I so remember wanting no rain when we were out will Angel Little Bit. 🙂
we are also thanksful for the rain we have gotten for the past 3 weeks, and the fact the monsoons are gone and as we watched the hurricanes out there right now we will be thankful if they pass us by. rain is the giver of life
Cleaning the smoke and dust was the very best part of the rain. 🙂
Glad you got some much needed rain.
We are so happy about it too. 🙂
Sandee I love a rainy day…for so many reasons. Especially the refreshing air. We have ONE more day of mid 90’s and THEY think it is the last for this very hot summer.
Hugs Cecilia
The fresh air was the very best part. 🙂
Wonderful thankfuls. Rain is very important. We had a dry summer, but we have been getting more rain lately. Have a great day. XO
We always have dry summers and the rain is always welcome. Happy day, my friend. 🙂
I love you my only.
Your loving husband.
I love you too, my only. Thank you for walking with me this morning. 🙂
Well, I know in Calif its not a normal thing to have rain. Like you however I am always happy when I remember to turn off my water! lol
We’ll have to turn it back on this weekend, but it’s not been off this early that I can remember. 🙂
We’ve been having rain too this week. It makes for nice reading weather 🙂 Have a great day!
Makes for the very best reading weather. You have a great day too, Yvonne. 🙂
Glad you had some needed rain. We’ve been having a lot of rain, probably double what we usually get over Winter. But at least the dams are getting filled up. Enjoy the rest of the week Sandee.
It’s good to get the dams filled. Welcome to spring, Sami. 🙂
How wonderful that you got rain ~ we did too ~ so needed for all ~ Xo
Lots of hugs and love to you ~ Xos
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Rain is so welcome here. The air is so clean right now. 🙂
I love hearing when it’s raining outside 😀
Me too and it makes for good sleeping weather too. 🙂
We are thankful for the rain here too… After a long very dry summer, the much-needed rainfall is a blessing! 💞 Enjoy your day, Sandee! I plan to catch up on reading… xo
Love the rain and we get so little. You enjoy your day and your reading. xo 🙂
Yay!!! We know how dry it gets in your area, we are so glad you saw some rain!!
Yes you do and it was wonderful to have the rain. Happy Thursday. 🙂
Yeah! Rain! We had a couple of weeks of heavy smoke and when the rain came and washed all the gunk of the air Mom (and our neighbours) were out standing in the it laughing and talking! Even I, Marvelous sat on the deck and got wet! What a wonderful thankful! We hope you have a marvellously happy week Sandee! Whisker kisses, Marv
That’s exactly what happened when it rained here. The air went from smokey and dusty to clean and wonderful. 🙂
Better than I deserve
You deserve the best, Paul. 🙂
It sounds like a nice rain is just what you needed, hooray! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
It’s just what we needed. We had such bad air here. Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. 🙂
I’m so glad you finally got some much needed rain! We’ve been in a moderate drought here in NH too, but we’ve had a lot of rain over the last few days. Hopefully that means we’ll be back to normal before heading back into winter.
And I wouldn’t want to complain about the rain then, but rainy days are challenging when you have two puppies in the house!! LOL
Yes rain and puppies don’t mix well when they need to walk. Hope all is well in your world. Scritches to Copper Sue and Max. 🙂
I’m thankful you got just the right amount and kind of rain.
We are too. Happy Thursday. 🙂
The Hubbys says he knows it’s going to rain, whenever I venture out for my ‘hood walk…I get caught in the rain often, even when my weather app says no rain in sight anywhere!
Weird, huh?
Hubby loves to walk in the rain. The fog too. 🙂
Splish splash! Yay! Just got my PC back and it will take me awhile to get it set up as I had to have
a new release done…argh. It will be a week I bet before I have figured it all out! xoxoxo
It takes a bit to get a new machine ready for use. It’s fun though. 🙂
We’ve had a spot of rain the last couple of days too (as well as right crisp temps). Since we only receive anywhere from 8-15 inches a year ourselves, rain is a blessed commodity for which I too am exceedingly grateful. The cleansed air is an absolute bonus! Hugs and tail wags from all of us at the Ranch.
A blessed commodity indeed. Hugs and smooches to the ranch hands. 🙂
We get so much rain here that we get fed up with it, but after this year’s very high temperatures and drought conditions we were glad to see it come back. Rain has it’s own special smell. We need a lot more yet because the reservoirs are still very low.
Yes rain has its own special smell. I’ve missed that smell. 🙂
I’m so happy for your rain. Having never lived in a desert, we generally have tgis problem in reverse.
It’s such a joy having you as a blogging friend and more. Hugs!
I was raised on the Oregon coast and the average rainfall there was 90+ inches a year. Lots of rain. Big hug, my friend. 🙂
That’s good. We get a lot of rain in late summer. We need it, we’re on well and septic.
I love the rain. I love you too, Kismet. 🙂
We have been fortunate to get rain too
We so enjoyed the rain and the clean air. 🙂
Hooray for that much needed rain, Sandee! We got a bunch of it here today, too. What a relief for the plants, animals, and air quality. 🙂
It’s warming back up here, but we enjoyed the chilly and the rain. 🙂
I am so glad you had rain! It was certainly needed. Watching the news of the fires has been scary and worrisome. I do hope they are not near you. We did get some here out on the East coast for the past couple of days. It’s been dry here, but thankfully no fires like there has been out there. I’m thankful for so much…it’s hard to list all of it. Right now, health would top my list. For my family, friends, and self!
Health is so important. One of the most important things to be thankful for. 🙂
I am so surprised that the cooler weather came right on time. Have a blessed evening, Sandee.🤗
I’m happy about that too. You have a blessed evening too, Michelle. 🙂
Not to sound facetious, but knocking nut dust is a thing? I’ve read about dust storms from lawn grass farm harvests in Oregon. It all makes me grateful for my Ohio climate. I hope everyone needing rain gets some. Stay safe! ~hugs~ Thank you for all the love you spread.
When they knock nuts you wouldn’t believe the dust it stirs up. It can be so thick you can’t see through it. It’s real. https://www.wcngg.com/2019/11/04/harvesting-strategies-to-reduce-dust/ 🙂
