It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
Today I’m thankful for our boat. We enjoy our cruises or just slip sailing. When everything is working life is good. When things go wrong you call your mechanic and wait for the prognosis. We had every intention to have our boat inspected a couple of weeks ago. We went up and made sure all the safety issues were addressed. When we went up for the inspection we found that our head system was not working properly. We packed up and returned home. Our mechanic tells us that several things needs replacement, so that’s what’s happening now. BOAT stands for, bring on another thousand. I wish this fix was only a thousand. They are worth it though. Can’t wait until we can go spend a long weekend on our boat.
What are you thankful for today?

that’s sad that your boat needs reparations ! But if it’s worthwhile you have to do it, it’s so nice when you live close to the water and have a boat. My son had one in Amsterdam and they made parties on the boat on the canals ! But then he became a brave family father and the boat rotted somewhere !
We want to enjoy it as long as we can. We’re getting older and it’s getting harder and harder to keep up. 🙂
Sorry about the boat needing some parts replacement. Good to keep the boat in tip top condition to enjoy your cruise. Hope the replacement job will be done soon.
Boats need repairs often. They are not cheap at all, but they are fun. 🙂
I hope the repairs are soon done and you are back on the water.
Glad to see my name came up today. Yesterday I was anonymous for some reason!
We hoping it will be repaired next week and we have a cruise planned after the Labor Day weekend. 🙂
Sorry to hear your boat needs repairs. Worth every penny though since it brings you joy.
You’re right about that, Ann. Our boat brings us joy so it’s worth the repairs. 🙂
Well, that’s not an acronym you want to see. Hope it’s all done and over soon so you’re 100 on the water again! Have a happy Thursday!
You’re lucky if it’s only a thousand. Boats are expensive but so are motor-homes and such. 🙂
Without your boat you would have a lot more money. Without us dogs, Mom would have a lot more money. Without your boat and us dogs, you and our Mom would not be very happy. It is all money well spent!
You’re right about that. We all have things we love and you love your pups (I do too) and we love our boat. 🙂
That is well said. ~nods~ Hugs, my dear.
Sorry about your boat needing repairs. I follow another blog about a couple that lives in their boat and they constantly need repairs. Have a great day. XO
They do indeed and if you don’t keep up with the repairs it’s not a good thing. We love our boat. 🙂
BOAT stands for hole in the water you pour money into. that was on a sign in Bob’s boat when we got married. in 1984 the cost for the slip was 125.00 per month. I can say that a pool in the backyard is an even bigger hole full of water to pour money into. maintenace on a pool is out of sight. the only thing I can think of to say I am thankful for is I can still walk the dog.
I hear you. We have to berths at our marina and I just paid the slip fees and the electricity and it was almost $700.00. Oh well. Expensive, but it keeps us active. Scritches to Beau. 🙂
Oh noooo on the thousands and hope it doesn’t take long, I know hwo much you love boating.
It should be done next week and we’re figuring it will be around $2,500 or so. Bugger. 🙂
BOL at Boat description.
I know how much you love it so here’s to a quick fix. I am a firm believer in surrounding ourselves with things that make us happy.
Hugs Cecilia
Our boat makes us very happy and we’ve enjoyed it since 2004. Love and hugs. 🙂
had my share of boats in the navy! ha
Yes and then some. 🙂
Thankful for day trips to the coast!
Trips to the coast is always a wonderful thing. 🙂
I remember those days ~ but boat is worth and so are you two! Xo
Lots of hugs and love, Xos
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

I know you used to be a boater too and it’s a wonderful way to spend some quality time together. Love and healing hugs, Carol. 🙂
A Boat sounds a bunch like an RV. You learn to fix what you can….and pay lots to fix what you cannot!
Hope the Boat is fixed up soon!
Yep, they are very alike. Both are very expensive at times. As long as we love it then it’s good. 🙂
Sorry to hear your boat is in need of repair, we love going away in our camper van, it’s great just to get away for a few days and relax
Boats are just as fun, Dawn. Love getting away for a few days. 🙂
Sorry about the repairs. I hope they are completed soon and you get to be back on it!
It doesn’t happen that often, but we have an excellent mechanic that knows how to fix things. 🙂
Knowing how much you enjoy boating and being on the water, I’m so sorry for the latest issues. Hoping a quick and ‘relatively’ inexpensive remedy is around the corner so you can head back out on the water.
We’re hoping it will be fixed next week and we have a cruise already in the mix. 🙂
Looking forward to a post saying you are sailing again.
We hope in a couple of weeks. That’s the plan. 🙂
Boats are expensive to maintain but if you enjoy it then it’s worth it! Happy Thursday! -Eugi
We keep our boat in tip-top shape. When we are on a cruise we feel better knowing our boat is in great shape. 🙂
Sometimes happiness is costly- but well worth it for you and Zane- hugs! x$$0
It is costly, but this one isn’t that bad. A boat needs a working head. No head, no Sandee. 🙂
Bring on another thousand – LOL! I hope you’re able to get back on that water soon.
It’s so true and more often than not it’s more than a thousand. 🙂
I’ve heard that boats and their upkeep are expensive. But, if that’s what a person loves, then it worth it! Hope you get that long weekend soon.
Happy Thursday! <3
They are expensive, but to us they are worth it. Happy day, Barbara. 🙂
While i’m sorry it’s going to take some fixing, i am glad it is fixable so you and Mr. Zane will be out cruising soon. Hugs!
Yes on all counts. 🙂
I know you sure will be thankful to get your boat back soon, the water will be waiting for you. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We sure will. Have a cruised planned too. Thanks for hosting. 🙂
I’m so sorry! I know what it is like to have that one thing that brings you peace and comfort. I hope the repairs do not take too long. You need to get out on the water again!
We’re used to changing our plans because of boat maintenance. Not to worry. 🙂
I love a good boat trip as long as I am not the one who owns the boat.
They are expensive and this is our only recreation so it’s all good. 🙂
I was always thankful to spend much of the summer on my little pontoon boat on the TN river and lake, always with one of my pups. After I lost Lexi, I couldn’t bear to go without her, so I sold it. I’m glad you are making the most of yours!
I hear you. It sure does make a difference when you lose your baby and things you used to love you don’t love so much anymore. 🙂
Hi Sandee, I am thankful for the time spent with a friend today on her birthday.
How wonderful. I’m glad you had a great time. 🙂
Sorry to hear about the repairs being needed on your boat, Sandee. We sure hope you get those squared away soon, so you can get out and enjoy the water!
Should be done this week. Fingers crossed. Happy week. 🙂
I know how much how love the water and being on it. I hope everything will get repaired and you can sail away!
We’re hoping it gets fixed this week. The next remodel on our home starts next week as well. Love and hugs, Anne. 🙂
Ouch. I’m sorry about the needed repairs and hope you get back on the water soon. ~hugs~ My father used to call boats a hole in the water you throw money into. lol Be well!
We’re hoping to get it fixed soon. It’s to hot to go anywhere now. 🙂
