It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Today I’m thankful for air conditioning. It’s been hot here and I can’t imagine not having air conditioning. I was thinking the other day that the first car I had didn’t have air conditioning. I rolled the windows down and did just fine. To old for that now.
I’m thankful for all the flowers we having in our home. They are all silk and require very little care. Flowers make me smile.
I’m thankful that Brian of Brian’s Home hosts the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. In these trying times it’s good to stop and look at all our blessings. There are many.

I’ve never like air conditioning. Then again it’s not as hot here as it is where you are. I never used to use it in my car and Wade always wanted it on. We had to compromise and go a little ways with it on and then turn it off and roll down the windows for a while.
You’re lucky you don’t need air conditioning. It’s expensive. 🙂
I love the silk flowers too. Flowers always put a smile on my face 🙂
We can be gone for a very long time and the silks will look just as beautiful when I return home. 🙂
Sandee,
I’m VERY thankful for AC. I remember our first car without air conditioning, as well. I wouldn’t say I did fine but I survived. Traveling for hours was the hardest. The heat was bad and sitting on those sticky, hot, vinyl seats was terrible! I love having AC! 🙂
I remember my clothes stuck to my body it was so hot. Never again. 🙂
Growing up Mom didn’t have a/c as her dad said it wasn’t necessary so she would plan lots of sleepovers at friends houses that had a/c. Her first car didn’t have it either and she would never want to be without it these days. This year has been cold so we have only used it for a couple days, but it is there when we need it!
We’ve had the air on for several months. Not every day but most of them 🙂
AC is at the top of my thankful list. I lived for 40 years without it and suffered during the summer months in our deep hot south. I pray I never have to live without it again… my first car was a 56 chevy and had no ac OR power steering, I am also thankful for power steering. I might not be strong enough to drive that car now
Ours is running right now and it’s wonderful. I hear you on the car. I had a Chevy Impala without air. I doubt it had power steering either, but I don’t remember. 🙂
Yes, air conditioning is a wonderful thing.
We have a few window units to cool various zones.
There is always a time span in deep Summer when the overnight temps and humidity are high, and those are tough but they don’t last.
Truly, the worst that summer can throw at me is nowhere near my horror of winter!!!
I would be happy if it was 80 degrees year around. It would be perfect. Lots of rain and no snow. 🙂
I love flowers too. Have a beautiful day.

They make me smile, Regine. 🙂
Such lovely thankfuls today…it’s been very ot here in NM too, sooooo very thankful for Air Conditioning!
We’re used to pretty hot, but when it gets over 100 degrees it’s to much. 🙂
I will be grateful once the service company starts mine up. Till then I’ll be found sitting in front of a floor fan and praying/hoping I can last until July 5 (oye) without melting. 😬 Stay cool.
I can’t handle the heat anymore. I hope you get air soon. 🙂
Me too. Had them place me on a waitlist in case of any cancellations. I. don’t. do. heat. Dry or otherwise 😉
Great thankfuls Sandee.
Neither of us had central a/c growing up. the apartment rented after our marriage had it. We both vowed to never be w/o again. FOr sure it is a necessity not a luxury.
Hugs Cecilia
Sandee thank you for you kind comment. The feeling is mutual,
Hugs Cecilia
We didn’t either, but living on the coast of Oregon you didn’t need air conditioning. 🙂
I’m thankful I can fly to where I want to go. Peeps should be thankful that gas isn’t $20 a gallon (yet).
Just wait, Kismet. It’s not going to get any cheaper. I love you. 🙂
My boy friends tell me that I’m a cheep date.
Great thankfuls! Stay cool and happy! xoxo
You do the same, Kathe. It’s hot here. 🙂
I remember days without AC when I lived in Florida. Never again! Happy Thursday.
I hear you. We’re to old for all that heat. 🙂
AC is a must for me in Florida. I’m from New York and when I had my first car, it didn’t have AC but it was fine. Now, I couldn’t live without it. Happy Thursday!
When I lived in Oregon we never had air in anything, but living in central California you need air conditioning. 🙂
Went to the grovery, got out for under 100 dollars…very thankful
I hear you. Each week it’s more and more. 🙂
Happy Thursday! <3
A/C is a must here, too. When I was a kid we had what we called a swamp cooler. Water saturated straw filters then as the air blew over them it would cool the house. Some rent houses we had had refrigerated air coolers in the windows, but now we have central a/c. One summer ours went out and it was horrible until we could get it fixed.
We have it on now and it’s running. It’s got out and tomorrow it’s supposed to be 103 degrees. 🙂
Thankful for today’s rain and yesterday’s sunshine! Thankful for hubby who keeps things going inside and outside at our place. Have a great weekend, Sandee! Can’t believe it’s Thursday already…
We could use some rain here. It’s so dry. We both have wonderful husbands. Happy day and I can’t believe it’s Thursday either. 🙂
Wonderful thankfuls ~ funny how we are so used to A/C ~ I am glad to have but would rather not have to use it ~ Xo
Lots of love and hugs to you from me and Angel ~
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

We sure are and ours is running today. Love and hugs to you and Angel. 🙂
Such wonderful thankfuls, it’s been darn hot here too. Thanks for the shout-out too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Way to hot here. You’re welcome for the shout out. 🙂
I am thankful for a/c too. Hope you had a nice day. XO
We’ve had a wonderful day. Hope you have too. 🙂
It’s hot here, too. Would be miserable without A/C. Next week it is to be even hotter.
It’s supposed to be 103 degrees here today. Way to hot. 🙂
We are on different sides of the country but we are having the same weather. Seems summer is going to be a scorcher.
Mom says she would have a very hard time living without a/c in the hot summers. But as a child she was lucky if her family even had one fan. She never seemed to mind the heat as a child and loved sleeping on the screened porch on hot summer nights.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We could tolerate so many things when we’re young that we can’t when we’re old. The way of life. 🙂
A/C is at the top of the list here, too. Hugs!
Air conditioning is truly a life saver
It sure is. Happy day and weekend. 🙂
I am also very thankful for AC. Enjoy your day, Sandee. Have you been cruising lately?🤗.💕
Yay on the AC. No cruises. Every time we plan one something happens or the weather is in the triple digits like it’s going to be today and into the weekend. 🙂
Even when things are not going our way, there are a lot of things to be thankful for. Have a wonderful day, Sandee!
Amen to that, Ivan. 🙂
