Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful that hubby and I found a device that repels bugs and rodents using electromagnetic and ultrasound technology. We don’t like sprays and traps and don’t want to kill anything either. We have had bouts of ants invading our kitchen around May each year. May is almost here and we have one unit on the first floor and one unit on the second floor. We are hopeful.

Bell & Howell Ultrasonic Pet Repeller

Using electromagnetic and ultrasonic technology, this silent repeller emits a signal that drives mice, rats, spiders, ants, and other household pests away, without messy sprays or hazardous traps. It works through your home’s wiring, so one unit can protect an entire floor.

What are you thankful for today?

I have the same problem with ants. They show up in April or May and I have to deal with them for about a month and then they are gone for another year. I’ve always wondered if these things worked or not. I’ve thought about trying them.

I hope this works. It’s awful to wake up to a kitchen full of ants. I’ll let everyone know. 🙂

We’re hoping it works. It sure is worth a try. I don’t like all the ant sprays and other nasty stuff on our counters and sink. 🙂

I don’t think it bothers dogs and cats. It sure is a less messy way to keep them out. 🙂

We’ve had some mice which our cat bro Bert has handled for us, but this is interesting. The rodent problem appears to have been solved with some repairs but one never knows. Hope this tool works.

Good cat indeed. We’re having a new housing development near us and the field mice will be looking for new homes. 🙂

I’m interested in this pest repeller. Do let me know if it works on the ants. We get the tiny ones and nothing seems to stop them for long. We’ve found good fortune using Amdro around the perimeter of the house to keep the large black ones out and it works for 90-days.

The animal communicators that I know tell me we can ask the ants and mice to stay outside.
I’ve tried my hand at asking spiders to go away…results vary, but my skills need polishing.

we have had this device, one in every room, for 2 years, it doesn’t keep ants out, which is why we bought them. also doesn’t keep big old palmetoo bugs out. and the one in the kitchen the little spider built his web on it and lives happily… good luck

We tried those here and it drove us kitties more nutso, we could hear them. They are cool devises though. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

We can’t hear them and if it bothers the pets then it’s not a good thing. We don’t have any babies anymore so we’re hoping they work. 🙂

You’re most welcome, but we don’t know if they will work yet. We have our fingers and toes crossed that they do. 🙂

I’m thankful for you… and don’t tell you enough. Going to send your post to my friend who’s workshop just had a snake visitor… a beneficial snake but still she didn’t want it there. And a lesson I just learned was if you can see something you can draw it… really look at it as you sketch… capture just a line, or an angle until it’s a thing
Love, LeeAnna and Milo who sends doggie kisses

I hope it works for you. We occasionally have a problem with ants but I put an ant bait down where they go in and take the food back to the nest. Not as kind as yours but we don’t see any more after a week.

We get overrun with them in May/June and they they disappear for another year. We’re hoping to avoid that. 🙂

You’ll have to tell us if it works! This past winter, we had a serious ant problem. We live half underground so we have all kinds of creepy crawlies too!

Do you have cats in the house?
We had one of these gadgets when we had cats, and it freaked them out so bad! They went crazy as soon as we plugged it in, so we had to not use it. Maybe it would work on mice and insects but I’d warn not to use if you have cats. Don’t know about dogs.
Wishing you a lovely spring Friday! <3

    • Sandee – California – Home of Awww Mondays, Happy Tuesday, and Wordless Wednesday.
      Sandee says:

If the cats don’t like it then the dogs won’t either. We don’t have any pets anymore so not an issue here. We just want the ants to stay outside where they belong. 🙂

    • Sandee – California – Home of Awww Mondays, Happy Tuesday, and Wordless Wednesday.
      Sandee says:

It might bother your cats. I’ve had two cat people that said it ran their cats crazy. 🙂

  15. Anne Robinson says:

Oh the pesky pests in the warmer months. Argh….hoping and praying this works great! I think we need one in the garage and shed where the mice have all night dance parties with the darn rabbits. Maybe it will entice the wasps to go somewhere else. Heeheehee. Good luck and many prayers for you.

We don’t want to kill them, but don’t want them in our home. Love you, Anne. 🙂
