Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

We’re thankful for Netflix and Amazon Prime for our movies and television shows. Our latest show was season 1 of Reacher on Amazon Prime.  It’s based on the first book by Lee Child named  Killing Floor.

Jack Reacher gets off a Greyhound bus in the town of Margrave, Georgia, because he remembers his brother mentioning that a blues musician named Blind Blake had died there. Much to his surprise, shortly after his arrival, he is arrested in a local diner for murder on the orders of the sheriff, Morrison, who falsely claims he saw Reacher leave the scene. About Jack Reacher:

Jack Reacher is the protagonist of a series of crime thriller novels by British author Lee Child. After leaving the US Army as a major in its military police at age 36, Reacher roams the United States taking odd jobs and investigating suspicious and frequently dangerous situations. He’s 6’5″ and weighs 250 pounds.  All muscle.

Hubby and I were spellbound with the show until the end.  We’re hoping that each book will be made into a season.  We love all things Jack Reacher.

What are you thankful for today?

‘Cutting the cable’ gave us so many more options! I’m thankful you and I have many interests in common with our spouses. ~hugs~ On the subject of unhappy marriages, lacking similar comedic sensibilities wreaks the most sorrow I personally recognize.

I’ve attended several online Zoom meetings with Lee Child; he’s often in the company of my favorite author, Laurie R. King, and they are friends. Also, I’ve read all of the Lee Child & Douglas Preston’s Prendergast series, and a few of their Gideon Crew books too.

I have read every single Jack Reacher book and am a huge fan of him. I tryed to watch the new series and the man that plays the part is not anything at all like the book, so could not watch it. its odd how we all see the same things with different eyes. Did you know there is a set of books about jack Reachers son? his name is Jack Widow, written by Scott Blade, there are 17 of them on Amazon, and I am at the end of # 9.. not quite as good as Child but good. since I read this i may try the first Reacher alone with out bob. he and i don’t see eye to eye on movies and he doesn’t read
