It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful for new dishes we’ve found on Cooking Professionally and Command Cooking. We found Mississippi Pot Roast recipe that we’re going to fix for our anniversary on the 29th of this month. We tried the Diner-Style Meatloaf and it was the best meatloaf ever. There are many more and hubby and I find such joy in finding something we want to try and then shopping and preparing the dish. Some have been okay, but most have been so delicious. Food brings people together.
I’m thankful for my husband that loves the same things I do. I love the same things that he does too. He’s my best friend and my soulmate. We enjoy each day that’s given to us.

Life is more enjoyable when you can spend it with someone who likes the same things.
Hubby and I stay home most of the time and find things we enjoy doing together. It works for us. 🙂
I need to check out the recipe site. We love trying something new!
We have expanded our menu a lot this past year. It’s been a most wonderful thing. 🙂
We keep saying it, but you are so lucky to have each other. Many marriages are not that way. Enjoy the cooking.
Yes we are and we know it. We are happy. 🙂
In this day and age, more than ever before, we must be grateful for what puts a smile on our faces.
Yes indeed. There is so much to be thankful for. 🙂
These days we can easily find whatever recipes we need on the internet. It is always good to have someone enjoying the same things as we do. Always thankful for the little things we enjoy.
We can indeed and we’ve enjoyed these two sites. Have a great day, Nancy. 🙂
both recipes sound good to me and are much like what I cook that my mother taught me growing up. she did not use the spices some use. its great to have a spouse that likes the same thing you do. I would not know, never had one.
We love all the new recipes we’ve found. Cooking is fun for us. 🙂
It’s wonderful to have a spouse that likes the same things as you do, especially as we get older. Happy Thursday!
We are two peas in a pod. I’m a very lucky gal. 🙂

Yummy your food thankful make my mouth water. Happy almost anniversary. Simple pleasures are the best and most memorable.
Speaking of food today was hunting/grocery day. I am thankful I have become more patience and that I am queen of making do with what I can find.
Hugs Cecilia
We’re doing the same here. Food brings people together. I’m happy about that. Hugs. 🙂
Wonderful thankfuls Sandee! Cooking together and finding great recipes is more than fun- it’s delicious love! Hugs to you and Zane! Bon appetit!
We’re going to make a new soup tonight. It’s called Busy Day Soup and it looks so good. Love and hugs all around. 🙂
We usually go out to eat or get take out, but I do want to start cooking again. There are so many places online to get recipes. The meatloaf you mentioned sounds good.
We rarely go out. We do when we go on a cruise, but that’s not often. We like eating at home. 🙂
So glad you are having fun together ~ great thankfuls ~ Xo

We all have days with tech skills or lack thereof. Hugs. 🙂
I’m thankful for a lovely day to spend with my youngest daughter… 😍
Enjoy your day with your daughter. Mother and daughter time is so precious. 🙂
New recipes can be so much fun!
They can indeed and we’ve found a lot of keepers. 🙂
Diner–style meatloaf sure sounds delicious! I love that you and your husband do the shopping, preparation, and eating, of course, together. 🙂
It was the best meatloaf I’ve ever had. Hubby thought so too. 🙂

YOU may not believe this but I’m thankful to know Sandee and all her friends. But I’m a bird brain.
You’re my kind of birdbrain, Kismet. I love you. 🙂
That sounds yummy
We tried Busy Day Soup last night and it wasn’t all that good. I’ll fix it again, but alter it and season it better. 🙂
Sounds like it’s going to be a good anniversary meal. Happy Early Anniversary wishes to you!
We’re hoping so. It’s a new recipe, but it sounds so good. 🙂
