It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
This week I’m thankful that everyone has been so nice to me in spite of my foggy brain this past week. Hubby bought me a new laptop and I’ve spent days getting programs and files loaded on my new computer. It’s left me exhausted. Here’s some of the things that I did or didn’t do during this transition.
I forgot to put the linky code on my Wordless Wednesday post yesterday and everyone was so kind. Many came back and linked up once I posted the links.
I have copy and paste for my hops and they always say the same thing depending on the day. On Wednesday I decided to copy and paste my Awww Mondays thank you. I did a whole bunch of posts before I figured that out. Everyone has been kind about that. I figure folks just think I’m an old lady (that’s true) and gave me a pass.
Everything I’ve done this week has been difficult. I’ve been totally confused most of the week and I’m thankful that I have such good blogging buddies that just let me have my difficult week. I’m happy to say my computer is up and running so I can focus on my hops. You guys rock.
What are you thankful for today?

I suspect, we all have these moments and you are such a great blog hop host and sharer. We simply love you to bits 😍
Thank you so much, Liz. I feel so bad when I let my blogging buddies down. 🙂
It’s nice to have blog pals who have you covered when things don’t go exactly right. I think we’ve all been there at one time or another.
I sure have them, Ann and you’re one of them. Thank you. 🙂
It takes time to get used to new computers. You’re doing a great job, Miss Sandee!
It sure does and it’s going pretty well today. Thank you for the vote of confidence, Miss Molly and mom. 🙂
We didn’t even notice and we all have difficult times like that. We also got a new computer, recently. It is a lot of work setting it up but it’s pretty exciting to have a good working computer! Enjoy, have a great Thursday!
I’m happy about that. It took me three days to move and set up everything. Huge job. You have a great Thursday too. 🙂
Test ~ I don’t see the comment I just wrote…..
Funny how that happens with WordPress. It’s there though. 🙂
Thanks for letting me know because I couldn’t see either of them so I gave up, LOL!
I had to do IT tech stuff at work all day a week ago Wednesday, and I threatened suicide or at the very least alcoholism if I ever had to do that for a living. My husband’s career is IT, so he just laughed and said he understood. This all to say, I totally understand! Glad you’re done with it and can move on!!
I had a tough time moving some things. I got them all moved, but it wasn’t easy. I’m no where near and IT person. 🙂
Good job!
Switching to a new computer is a major project. With so many advances in technology, it should be so much easier to transfer everything over to the new computer but it is not. Mom needs a new one for work soon but is dreading the switching the data part. We didn’t notice many glitches but since everyone makes mistakes here and there we just thought it was odd and moved on. Hope you have things up and running better soon so you can take it easy.
It’s not easy at all. I should have let my IT guy move everything. He’s really good at that. 🙂
funny you mention the confused foggy mind thing. mine has been really bad for about 4 weeks now. more so than the normal aging thing. I started a post, made graphics to tell about the confusion. it has been in drafts 3 weeks now because I got too confused to think why i started it. it did get better this week. hope yours does also.
I do that all the time and I double check my posts several times to make sure things are okay and I still mess them up. Scritches to Beau. 🙂
A new laptop: SCORE!
I want to get myself one too, but keep hesitating…
And know well the fog that descends when on the computer a lot, so don’t fuss…we get it!
It was a lot of work and cleaning up the old one for hubby took time too. I got it all done yesterday. 🙂
No worries, we all have times like that. Nice thankfuls. Have a great day! XO
I know we do, but three days in a row was way to much. You have a great day too, Ellen. 🙂
Thankful for family and friends! 💞 Have a great day, Sandee! xo
I’m thankful for you Bette. You have a great day too. 🙂
Congrats on your new computer! Many of us go through frustrations with the techie world. I struggled when I went to a self-hosted blog but I felt I had really achieved something when it came together. I am thankful my friends were patient with me. Happy Thursday! ❤️
I’ve never done a self hosted blog, but three cheers for you figuring it out. Happy Thursday, my friend. 🙂
Thank you, Sandee! 😊
Sandee I’m thankful for you and your blog hops…no worries at all. Any new techie device takes TIME and more TIME.
I don’t really have a thankful post but I’m linking to it. It is poetry day I think you might like the pic and poems
Hugs cecilia
Yes it took me three days. It was pretty stressful at times. Big hugs for a happy Thursday. 🙂
I am thankful that my laptop is up and running fine. I’ve had it a while and it was a pain to get it set up. I am also thankful that yours is in fine working order…I do like visiting you!
I keep mine for about three-four years and then get a new one. I do a lot of blogging. 🙂
Enjoy your new laptop. I know when I get a new device, I’m totally wrapped up in setting it up and forget everything else. Most things end up getting pushed aside. No worries, you are doing great!
I was totally wrapped up for three days. It’s good to be done. Thank you for the vote of confidence. 🙂
we’re thankful for YOU and all of the effort you put into everything you do! Switching things over to a new computer is the WORST!!
Thank you, Caren. I try to have a fun place for folks to have fun and get new visitors with the hops. 🙂
We love you and I remember the brain fog and energy it took when I got a new computer ~ a mixed blessings at best.
Lots of hugs and love to you from me and Angel ~ Xo’s
I had brain fog very badly. I’m glad it’s done. Love and hugs to you and Angel. 🙂
I get those foggy moments a lot too so don’t worry! Getting a new laptop is exciting discovering new things on it, but moving everything across is a nightmare!
It sure is and I love this one now that it’s all loaded up with my stuff. 🙂
I can imagine how confusing it is to set up a new computer with all your favorite things on there. Hope all is how you like it now. <3
I got everything from my old computer. Everything, every program and every file. All my email folders too. Stressful. 🙂
Those new computers are nice but dang, getting set up is something! Don’t feel bad, I mess up the Cat Blogsphere post this moring on Thursday with links to Friday Blog Hops MOL! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I’m glad I’m not alone. I felt so lost for three solid days. I’m glad I’m done. Everything works as it did on my old computer. I’m happy about that. 🙂
One big thankful here is that you aren’t afraid to dig in and learn a new computer. Good for you. Hugs!
I was stressed, but took on the task. I’m glad I’m done. 🙂
Yep! Brain Fog! happens to me if I don’t sleep well. I am always thankful for people on line! They are so forgiving when I make a mistake. I am thankful for You too! What would I do if I did not have your wonderful hops, I have met such wonderful people outside the pet blogosphere by visiting the people who link up! And I am so thankful when you fix my links when I forget! We will be here tomorrow! Marv send whisker kisses and head bonks! Marv & Mom
I’m thankful for you too. You bring me such joy and Marv is the cats meow. Love to all. 🙂
You’re an amazing blogger, Sandee. ~hugs~ My former IT guy and super smart husband bought a pricey laptop I didn’t expect. He wants me to have one for the long haul. 😀
That means so much coming from you, Darla. Your hubby rocks. Good for you. Hugs. 🙂
There should be a new computer leave like there is a maternity leave
Oh that’s a great idea. It’s done and I’m happy. 🙂
Where would we be without ‘puters?
I don’t know, Kismet and I don’t want to know. I love you, Kismet. 🙂
So sorry you’ve had a week. Sometimes we get so overwhelmed from life, those things that normally would come as second nature get caught up in the mix. I’m sure you’ll be right as rain soon and back to peak performance. Hugs and digital tail wiggles from me, Norman & Elsa 🐾
It’s in the past now, but it was stressful for three solid days. Love and hugs all around. 🙂
Great Feline! Somewhere I have a photo of Ninja that is very similar. Thanks for the wonderful memories! And I LOVE your fill-ins. I too would love to go to Hawaii! Especially with this winter. I have a feeling we will have snow lingering around the yard late, late, late this year! Marv sends head bonks and whisker kisses and I hope you and your love have a marvellously happy weekend!
Opps, |This is for today (which is tomorrow) I shall copy and paste it on Feline Friday! YES! I am having one of those days!!!
It’s good to know that I’m not the only one with a foggy brain this week. Hugs all around. 🙂
We can go to Hawaii together and have a great rest of the winter. Love to all and a smooch to Marv. 🙂
You are the very best! Thank you for the friendship, the laughs, the fun we all have here and your hard work making everything so easy peasy. Enjoy your weekend!
You’re the very best too. Enjoy your weekend, my friend. 🙂
Aw, new technology and changing things makes all of us foggy. You are not alone!
Take care 🙂
It sure made me foggy, Jen, but it’s all done now and everything is working just fine. 🙂
My brain’s been in a fog all week, too, so I understand.
I’m happy about that. I thought I was alone. Glad I wasn’t. 🙂
Computer issues are so exhausting! Glad you got it all sorted out, Sandee. And yay on getting a new laptop. It must be faster and smoother. Enjoy!
It is faster and smoother indeed. I like it very much. Hubby did good. 🙂
