It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Smoky Mountains National Park
Come mid-October, fiery leaves transform the horizon along Gatlinburg and the surrounding Smoky Mountains. The green pigment disappears as golden tones take over the scarlet oaks, sweetgums, and hickories. With more than 100 species of trees in the area, the Smokies show off every shade of the autumnal rainbow. Venture to Clingmans Dome Road or the Foothills Parkway to see the vibrant leaves in all their glory. Beautiful Tennessee.
What are you thankful for today?

I’ve seen the Smoky Mountains in films and mentioned in books (I pretty much only read or watch American things!) so it’s one of those places on my never-going-to-happen bucket list. It looks beautiful. Have you been many times, Sandee? I’ve no idea how far from you it is.
I hope you have a wonderful Thursday! xx
Same here, but I’d love to see this in person. You have a wonderful Thursday too, Caz. 🙂
Well, you answered my question. 🙂 It’s a fun place to visit. I just recalled a long ago trip thanks to a podcast on haunted houses.
My Phillipino friend going through relationship troubles requested a girls only overnight outing. She paid for our lodging while I drove and covered gasoline expenses. Once there, she passed on Gatlinburg’s cool haunted attraction. I went through alone, met some fun couples along the creepy way, and had a good time.
Blessings, my dear!
These are beautiful. I’ve never been to the Smoky Mountains but I know a few bloggers who live in that area and I always enjoy their fall photos.
Me too and I’d love to visit them and see this beauty. 🙂
Autumn is just stunning! Love love love it♥
It is indeed and sometimes it’s prettier in some places than others. 🙂
That looks so magical with all the beautiful colors!
It sure does and I want to see this in person someday. 🙂
I wonder if the Smokeys have turned colors this year. We’re less than a 2 hour drive from the SC smokeys, and are surrounded by other mountains, and nothing is turning, or just a dull yellow. It’s been a strange year in more ways than one.
Sometimes it’s slow going. It’s a beautiful place though. 🙂
What an amazing images! I would love to teleport there.
Thank you a lot for these beauties for the soul, Sandee!
Have a fabulous week and evening! Cheers!
I’ll meet you there, Suzana. You have a fabulous week and evening too. 🙂
I recently attended a seminar, where the reason for the color of the leaves was explained in great detail.
It really rather complicated, but the result is stunning!
We leave the fallen leaves in our yard, to help native insects overwinter, as well as leave the stalks of now dead plants; it’s amazing how many hollow stems are used by critters!
The front yard, which is rather small, has all of the leaves placed in the garden beds.
It’s good to protect the insects in the winter. A brilliant idea. 🙂
I visited that area many times in the fall and the colors are glorious. Our area is starting to look more like fall and I took some pics yesterday with my new phone. I’ll upload them today to see how look. Happy Thursday!
I love your Halloween headers. I put some on my blog too. Thank you. Happy Thankful Thursday. 🙂
👻
Today we are thankful that we have had to rains since we got up this morning and more is on the way we needed it so badly. I am also thankful for the beauty of the Smokies and they are beautiful no matter what the season is
I know that’s true, but autumn is what I’d love to see. We don’t get much here. 🙂
We have traveled that road many many times. We love the Smoky Mountains
Hugs cecilia
I would love to visit someday. Driving through these roads would be fabulous. 🙂
Sandee, The photographer captured the Smoky’s with some excellent colors. I’m not sure what will be in store for us as we venture to the mountains while on staycation but it doesn’t matter to us how the Smoky’s look. It’s beautiful year round and the best part is we’re just a short drive away which is something I’m very thankful for! 🙂
I know it’s beautiful year around, but we don’t get this kind of beauty here. Big hug. 🙂
wow- never been to the Smoky Mountains- thanks for the gorgeous photos! xoxoxo
I would love to go. In the fall and see these colors. xoxo 🙂
just gorgeous! Have never been there but would love to go one day.
That makes two of us. Scritches to the boys. 🙂
Absolutely stunning! Those vibrant colors! Someday I’ve love to go there.
Me too, Yvonne. I’ve a friend that nearby and it would be great to visit her too. 🙂
What beautiful Fall colors. Things in Chicago are still very green, I don’t think we’re going to have much in the way of color this year due to the weather so I really enjoyed these. The Johnson Family (Abby and Lorelei Lab)
There are many places that have these kinds of autumns. I would love to see one in person. 🙂
Those are beautiful scenes and they do make a wonderful thankful. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thrusday Blog Hop!
Thank you for hosting such a wonderful hop. We should be thankful every single day. 🙂
Years ago my peep was in Tennessee on a business trip. The right turn on red freaked out the locals in the car.
You crack me up, Kismet. I love you. 🙂
So thankful for God’s beautiful creation. Great Thankful Thursday.
Me too, Paul. You have a great Thankful Thursday too. 🙂
Gorgeous Autumn photo ~ Smoky Mountains are divine ~
Lots of hugs and love to you ~

ps. didn’t post or comment on Weds because Internet was down due to major Nor’Easter!
We don’t get Sou’Westers here in Arizona.
I would love to see them in person. Most beautiful. 🙂
Those colours are wonderful.
They are indeed, Jackie. 🙂
So beautiful! I’ve never seen so many trees in fall colors. Our one tree out front has only now begun to have a few yellow leaves.
Hope your day has been going good. <3
I would love to see this kind of autumn colors. My day has been wonderful. 🙂
Beautiful fall foliage is definitely something to be thankful for. XO
I know and we get so little here. To many palm trees. 🙂
I have always wanted to go east and see the hardwood colors. I was in the Okanagan Valley yesterday and this is the first time I’ve seen all the different fruit trees and the grapes colored at the same time. Most falls, they change at different times and with the windstorms and rains I’ve never seen that pallet of colors. It is the smae in the mountains too! The birch, aspens, poplar and larch are all colored too! It was spectacular. The main highway from west to east north of us is closed for new construction and the secondary (which I live on) is full of semis and crazy high speed drivers this fall. I just wish there was a little less traffic so I could stop and take photos. Thanks for the Smoky Mountain photos! I LOVE them. Thank you!
What a lovely comment. Our freeways are clogged here too. It’s awful. Love and hugs to all, and a smooch to Marv. Tell him I love him. I love you too. 🙂
Thankful for just being relatively healthy!
Amen to that, Joe. 🙂
Tennessee is beautiful, thank you for posting this beautiful reminder. Hugs!
A place I’ve always wanted to visit. Hugs. 🙂
Glorious photos, Sandee… 🍂 Thanks for sharing! I’m thankful for seasons!
Me too. They each bring something special. 🙂
That looks like a beautiful place to visit
It sure does. It’s beautiful. 🙂
Autumn is my most favorite time of year for just those images!
They are spectacular indeed. Happy Friday. Scritches to the pups, a smooch to Norman and a hug to you. 🙂
We don’t get changing leaves here in Southern AZ, but I love them too!
Have a great one 🙂
We have lots of palm trees here so we don’t get much. They are pretty, but messy. 🙂
