It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful for food. There are so many delightful dishes that we can enjoy. Planning our menu is always a delight and shopping to make sure we have everything we need. Hubby and I do this together and it’s one of the pleasures we enjoy.Image Credit: Click on Image

I got to the point where I didn’t enjoy cooking much because Wade was such a picky eater. I would find something he liked but then the next time I made it he didn’t like it any more. Now I can make whatever I want but I hate cooking for just me. It’s not easy cooking in small portions.
We eat pretty well and we do our menus a week in advance. I hear you on the small portions. 🙂
We are thankful for delicious food too and we are also thankful that Hurricane Ida’s remnants just dropped small branches everywhere and left us with our electricity. It could have been so much worse.
I’m happy for you too. It can be worse and I’m glad it wasn’t for you. 🙂
Excellent topic. I’m thankful for having some teeth pulled, so I have to eat canned food until I get my mouth checked again. Yesterday’s follow-up inspection saw suture remnants still showing, so no dry for at least a few more days. Dad, on the other hand, is just thankful to be eating real, solid food again after his, um, hollowing out.
I so remember the teeth pulling and different menu. I know about that hollowing out. 🙂
Glorious food! Definitely a good one to be grateful for. Nom noms.
Happy Thursday, Sandee! xx
Food is such a wonderful thing. We enjoy our meals together. The shopping, cooking and enjoying. 🙂
Mom loves to cook too but right now she is kind of afraid of food because despite eating healthy she had the heart attack and now she doesn’t really feel much like eating or cooking. It’s a bummer.
Mom will need time to get things back to her new normal. You’ll see. Sending her prayers. 🙂
Sadly myself and my hubby both do not like to cook he will not even help me come up with a menu or tell me what he wants to eat for the next week and I totally hate cooking and I also don’t like shopping so it makes it a really big chore. You are truly blessed that both of you like recipes and that you get help with deciding what to have and fixing it also
Oh no. I can see why you hate to cook. Doing it all by yourself all the time is a drag. 🙂
WooHoo I agree with the quote. I was quite fortunate to have the most wonderful Home Ec teacher for al my 4 years of H.S.
She taught me so much about food planning. I really enjoy planning our menus.
hugs Cecilia
We love it for sure. We do everything together. Hugs, my friend and I’m glad you’re doing so well. 🙂
Hubby and I like to be creative in the kitchen. Food brings people together. Happy Thursday.
Yes, yes and yes. Happy Thursday. 🙂
YUM! Those looks like delicious meals!
They sure are and we love cooking together. 🙂
They say the way to one’s heart is through their stomach, which worked for me since The Hubby is a great cook.
It is a delight to plan, shop, cook and share our meals. 🙂
Delightful menu and great foodie photos ~ Xo

Yes that’s a very important thing to say. Thank you. 🙂
Oh my goodness, everything sure looks most delicious and now I’m hungry! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you for hosting Thankful Thursday. 🙂
I love food too and those dishes look amazing! I love the Thomas Keller quote, it is so very true – each dish needs to be unique to you and your family, with those little things that only you put into the dish that makes it so good.
Love cooking and love eating. It’s so nice to have a helpmate. 🙂
everything sure looks wonderful TLW and I love to cook together. Chicken is often on the menu. Thankful I marred a chef!
and many other things .
It’s a wonderful thing to do. Chicken is a good thing to have on your menu. 🙂
I’m thankful that I live in the desert where there are few floods and not many wildfires (cactus doesn’t burn well).
You’re lucky indeed, Kismet. I hate all these forest fires that last all summer long and well into autumn. 🙂
We are heading out of the time of heat and into the time of filling our tummies with goodies. We love Food too
It’s a good thing indeed. Happy Thankful Thursday. 🙂
based on my rotund size, I’m right with ya on that one!!!! LOL!!! Enjoy! xoxo
I’ve lost 7 pounds in the last five months. I walk almost every morning. 🙂
It all looks delicious! Can I come over for dinner, Sandee? 😄 Hubby and I love to eat, but we’re not that talented when it comes to cooking. Right now, I am thankful we live in an area that isn’t prone to extremes of nature, like hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. Yeah, it gets a little cold in the winter, but that’s a reasonable trade-off. Happy Thursday!
Yes you can come over anytime you want for dinner. We’d have fun. Happy Thursday. 🙂
Yum.

Yes indeed.
Food is the common denominator in my family. We all love it and meals when we get together are not only culinary experiences, but just generally great fun!
It is in ours too. It’s a good thing. 🙂
I’m thankful for food too! Also, thankful for Hubby who shares in cooking great meals and helping harvest and preserve much of our garden goodies! Mmmmm… 💞
It makes such a difference when we each help each other. 🙂
I have been eating mostly frozen stuff and sandwiches. Just too lazy to cook. I am thankful that it is in the 80’s today with low humidity. I’m so over summer!
It’s a cooler day here today too and I’m happy about that. I’m so ready for fall. 🙂
We too are thankful for food! Our Mom loves to cook and we all benefit! Recently Mom has had to cook food that is eaten later (Alex works afternoon shift and does not get home until Mom is asleep). Mom says if she had a good photo of you, she could have added you to the Pub shot of Austin, Katie and Kozmo in Austin’s local pub! Maybe next time. See you tomorrow for Feline Friday!
Oh how sweet of you. In my loves on the navigation bar is a picture of me. See you tomorrow. Scritches all around, a smooch to Marv and a big hug to you. 🙂
it all looks sooooo tasty! Have a lovely day!
Especially when you’re hungry. You have a lovely day too. 🙂
Yum! The food looks so delicious and made me very hungry. LOL
I love food so much. 🙂
Wonderful thankfuls. We love food too and are blessed to have it in abundance. XO
Yes, yes and yes. xoxo 🙂
I am thankful for people like you and my husband who like to cook!
Yes indeed. We’re lucky gals. 🙂
How thankful we are for what we get in the food department!
Yes indeed, my friend. Have a great evening. Big hug. 🙂
Food is the most important thing to us.
It does bring everyone together. We love food too. 🙂
Delightful dishes! YUM! what time is dinner? I hoep you both have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend.
We’re staying home this coming weekend. We don’t like all the crowds and the drunks out on the water. We’re also having our flooring installed right now and they won’t be done until Saturday. 🙂
My husband is a better cook than me. I love things like crepes and waffles and pancakes and Italian food. Now I am trying to rethink my recipes so I can stay fit and healthy. 🙂
Hubby is a better cook than me too and that’s fine. If he cooks I do all the clean up, but lately we cook together. We like it. 🙂
Food is amazing! Yesterday as a family we went to the neatest little restaurant in a small town. That was super fun too. Food is definitely something to be grateful for!
Yes it is and it brings people together is a wonderful way. 🙂
