It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
In our quest to clean, de-clutter and upgrade hubby and I had Coit clean our carpets, tile and grout and take care of all the granite in our master bath. They also did our great room upholstery. Talk about a wonderful difference. Everything looks brand new.
I’m thankful that we are planning our boating adventures for this new year. We don’t know how much we’ll get to do, but we’re happy to slip sail if need be. We know how to have a good time in the slip or out.
I’m thankful that in a few weeks we’ll get a taste of spring. It always makes my heart happy to see the blossoms on the fruit trees.

Nice to have your home upgraded for the new year. Wonderful to know that you are planning and looking forward to your boat adventure and that spring is approaching soon.
We have more to do, but it’s so expensive. We’ll keep at it though. 🙂
That’s what I need, someone to come in and deep clean my floors and furniture.
Yes, it’s hard to move stuff, but it’s worth it. Gets all the carpet/floors instead of some. 🙂
We had our carpets cleaned in November, it is always so nice to have them looking good again. Hope you get to do real sailing this year, but from what we hear, CA is not allowing much to happen right now. Maybe it will improve.
No they aren’t. Much of the state has been shut down since March of last year. So sad. 🙂
What a joy to get things all spiffy and nice looking. May you have tons of sailing ahead this year!
Everything is so clean. We are so enjoying it. Smells good too. Happy Thursday. 🙂
I love the look and feel of newly cleaned things in the home.. i even love the way my kitchen looks after a fresh mopping. or the way grass looks freshly mowed. finding it hard to find things to be thankful for, even though we have many that i should be thankful for..
Yes on all those things. Having a clean and orderly home is a wonderful thing. 🙂
Oh I do hope you get lots of sailing time in this year! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We hope we do too, but if we have to slip sail then we will. Nothing is going to stop us from going. Thanks for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. 🙂
How nice to have an upgraded home! You’re a lucky gal! Happy Thursday!
Hubby and I decide what we’re going to do next and then we do it. We did the boat so it was time for our home. Happy Thursday. 🙂
I would have been thankful that political season was over but it has started again.
It has indeed. I don’t think it ever stops. We turned off the television and quit watching the news. I love you Kismet. 🙂
Sounds like everything is all spiffed up at your house – good for you!
It is indeed and we got all the furniture back in from the garage. The SUV was happy to go back into the garage too. 🙂
Dad has been toying with having a cleaning service come in and hit the place hard. Hmmm you may have tilted the scale. Great Thankful and we hope you do get where you like. The water is wonderful
It’s worth it and you’ll be happy when you do. We are ready to get back out on the water and we’ll do that next month. 🙂
How great to have someone come in and fluff and buff your lovely home! You and Zane are so great at keeping everything perfect! Have a great day and we sure hope you will be out on the water soon! HUGS!
I don’t know about perfect, but we like things clean and orderly. Like you do. Hugs. 🙂
I so need to clean the grout and so don’t want to. How wonderful to have your adventures planned. It’s a requirement these days and something wonderful to look forward to.
I watched them clean ours and he made it look so easy. We had lots of tile and grout. Lots of granite too. 🙂
64 days to Spring…I have a counter on my computer!
Yes indeed. We are on the downhill side. 🙂
Must feel like a great home. Have a nice day! XO
It does. Smells so clean too. You have a nice day too, Ellen. 🙂
Ohhh Spring comes early over your way. February can be our worst weather month.
I bet your home is sparkling
Hugs Cecilia
Our home is pretty sparkling indeed and today we moved all the furniture in from the garage. It’s nice to have things back where they belong. 🙂
Lots to be thankful for from sunrise to sunset of each new day… Counting my blessings!
Yes indeed and we are thankful for those things too, Bette. So many blessings. 🙂
I’m glad you are enjoying your home so much after some make over. And planning sailing adventures adds to the good mood!
Have a great Thankful Thursday!
Yes we hadn’t really done a lot to our home and it was time. You have a great Thankful Thursday too, Viola. 🙂
I wish it was spring already, too.
Happy Thursday! <3
Me too, Barbara. Patience. Our boat is calling us. 🙂
Planning sailing adventures sounds wonderful! And, starting with a sparkling clean house is a great way to begin the new year. Hope all is well with you! xoxo
We’ve been decluttering for months, but the deep clean yesterday made such a difference. 🙂
Today I am thankful that I wasn’t injured in my motorcycle accident last Saturday & that the damage to my bike is minimal.
Here’s a video about it if you’d like to have a look Sandee. No feootage of the crash just talking about it & showing the damage to my bike. https://youtu.be/Oalpb4_TFZ8
I’m thankful for that too, Tony. Most scary. I watched the video. You’ll be sore for a few days and your bike needs a lot of work to replace all those horrible scraps. You’re a lucky guy, Tony. 🙂
~hugs~
Hugs back, Darla. 🙂
The Human loves organizing our house but when she gets out the vacuum monster we object loudly!
Purrs & Head Bonks,
Albertol
Our Angel Little Bit hated the vacuum. I would vacuum when hubby was out walking her. 🙂
Gosh! I wish I could get Coit (or someone else) to come out to the middle of nowhere! I won’t go into the details, but I had not lived here in Midway for almost 5 years and I don’t think my husband cleaned or vacuumed once…its been tough to go through the accumulated debris. I think I shall have to rip out the carpeting and lay new flooring. I am thankful for you and your hops! They have helped me through this! You are a jewel!
Have a marvellously Happy Day!
Thank you, Barb. What a kind thing to say. We were very happy with Coit. The house smells so clean. You are a jewel too. 🙂
We are at the age when we are just happy when we wake up
I’m always happy when I wake up. 🙂
That’s nice that you got things freshened up! Right now I am thankful that Monday is a holiday so I get a 3-day weekend!
I remember the three day weekends. Pure heaven. Enjoy every moment. 🙂
It is nice that you have some things to which you can look forward. Your spring comes so much earlier than ours. Sailing sounds so nice. I am so tired of being housebound except for doctors’ appointments. Love and warm hugs, Janet
We’re doing the same here. Not really going anywhere except medical appointments. One of these days. Hugs. 🙂
It never fails, right after the hubbub of the holidays, I too begin the annual process of culling and cleaning. It totally feels good. And this year I plan to be ruthless about the culling part. Tired of housing excess ‘stuff.’
We are getting down to very little excess. We’ve been working on this for months. Little by little. No overstuffed drawers or closets. It’s wonderful. 🙂
It does feel particularly good and freeing!
Our house needs a serious going-over too! Hopefully we can do that soon!
We had nothing much else to do last year so we focused on doing something constructive. It’s been a wonderful journey. Smooches to Luke. 🙂
Clean carpet is something to cheer about. We just got brand new carpet and it makes me soooo happy!!
I hear you. Ours looks almost brand new and it’s 19 years old. 🙂
I learned to save money the hard way.
Everyone should see Paris at least once in their lives.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about survival.
I’ll never be too old to cook.
Thanks for playing along. We are savers and stay within our budget. It’s a good thing. 🙂
