Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

For those of you that wanted to know what I got hubby for Christmas, here’s what he got. Many years ago hubby gave our granddaughter his Japanese tea set. He’s missed it ever since, so I set out to find a replacement. It had to be a Japanese tea set, not a knock off. I didn’t find anything in this country that would come close, but I did in China, so I purchased it.

This tea set has a travel caddy so he can bring it along wherever he goes. Each afternoon he can brew his tea and enjoy what he loves so very much.

The delight he expressed was most gratifying. I just wonder why it took me so long to think of doing this. I’m most thankful he’s so very happy with his gift.

“Although Japanese sado is originated in China, it has its distinct characters of Japan and unique meaning. Rooted in the daily life, Japanese sado is a comprehensive cultural and art activity combing daily behaviors, religion, philosophy, ethics and aesthetics. Japanese tea culture is famous all around the world and the Japanese Coarse Pottery Tea Set With Bag is its true reflection.”

What are you thankful for today?

Thank you my wonderful Wife for my new tea pot set.
When I gave our Granddaughter my tea pot it was an expression of Grandfatherly affection. When you gave me my new tea set it was an expression of love by Souls bounds together forever. You have reached into my heart and understood my need.
I Love You. Your Loving Husband.

I’m so thankful for my family for the gifts that they gave me. The gifts are fantastic but just having them with me is the greatest gift. Having them with me at Christmas Dinner ( I cooked the dinner and I loved doing it ), enjoying dinner together, laughing taking wonderful photos to remember. I’m so thankful.

What a wonderful gift! So much love and thoughtful consideration “poured into” it. I know your hubby will truly enjoy it forever.

I’m thankful that my brother has spent so much time with us over these past few months. He’s my only sibling and my lifetime best friend. I will miss him when he goes home next week. (But his pup will be happy to see him when he picks him up from the sitter’s home.)

Mrs. C gave me a new electric sweeper, a bbq steam cleaner, new slippers and some millipede-bug traps. I got myself a new golf club. Best Christmas ever.

I’m so happy for you that you have a wonderful loving husband & that you had such a wonderful Christmas. With love flowing from his heart and yours it makes me think that there’s hope for this world yet. You are definitely deserving of such love & happiness. Hubby & I had our Christmas and home together & we’ll have out Christmas with my children as soon as they find out when they can get the day off. It will probably be next weekend. My youngest daughter will probably come in soon as she gets her time sheet from work. She’s a nurse at an old folks home. Well, I’m off to lay down not feeling to well today. Have a great day! So happy for you! HUGS….. LUV YA!

What a thoughtful and lovely gift! Thank heavens for the internet that makes our world a little smaller and easier to find items like this, right?!

I agree. I couldn’t find this here in the U.S., but China was the ticket. Took a long time to get here, but it was worth the wait. 🙂
