Who are the Music Moves Me bloggers? They are bloggers who blog about music each Monday and if you have music to share, you are most welcome to join! Your MMMM co- hostesses are Curious as a Cathy, Ramblin’ with AM, Stacy Uncorked and Xmas Dolly.
This is a music link up. Your 2023 4M party host/hostess are found HERE. Every other week we have a suggested music theme to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our music enthusiasts. Themes aren’t mandatory to gain access to the dance floor but failure to meet the basic guideline (post must contain music) puts your URL in danger of being labeled – NO MUSIC.
I’m proud to be this months honorary co-hostess.
The theme this week is freedom of music choice, no theme week. I decided on hit songs from 1969, The year I graduated from High School. Have fun!
Tommy James & The Shondells – Crimson And Clover – Sly & The Family Stone – Everyday People – Tommy Roe – Dizzy – The 5th Dimension – Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In -The Beatles with Billy Preston – Get Back – Henry Mancini, His Orchestra & Chorus – Love Theme From Romeo & Juliet -Zager & Evans – In The Year 2525 – The Rolling Stones – Honky Tonk Women…

Great idea for a post! Maybe I’ll do something similar…
Goody. I’m trying to be more creative like everyone else is. 🙂
That is the year Mom’s brother was born. Those are some great tunes! Nice choices. Mom doesn’t even think of them as being from 1969 as she has heard them along with other music for so long.
I hear you. I just wondered what the hits where back then. Happy week. 🙂
Oh man, does this take me back. Great memories and great tunes. Woo-hoo!
It took me way back too. Great tunes. 🙂
Great year, great tunes. I hope you and Mr. Zane have a great week!
Some great music back in the day. I loved the music of the 60s and 70s. You and Mr. Sweetie have a great week too. 🙂

1969 was a great year for music!
It sure was. Have a great week, Joyce. 🙂
That was a rocking year for music.
It sure was. I thought the music back then was the best music ever. 🙂
Man, does this playlist bring back memories! For some reason I was in love with Crimson & Clover when it was released and there was no better song than Honky Tonk Women. I took my wife to see Romeo and Juliet. She cried in the theater and all the way home. Have a blessed week.
I’m glad I brought back good memories for you. Have a great week my friend. 🙂
Oh boy, you’ve got some good ones here. Either my mom or gram had most of the LPs. That’s my favorite Tommy James song.
I loved the music of the 60s and 70s. Some great work. Happy week. 🙂
What a great selection of oldies. I know them all.
Me too, Ann. Not that we’re old or anything. Hug to you and scritches to Gibbs. 🙂
Some great songs here. I love your concept. Very cool.
Thank you, Patrick. I’m trying to be more creative with the music. 🙂
Love…love these songs! There was so much more to this music than the stuff that comes out today. Actually, I heard some Beyonce song while grocery shopping that just made me want to be deaf. Ughh. I actually did something similar a few weeks back but went for when I started University which was 40 years ago..Holy smackers!
I hate some of the music we are forced to hear too. I love the music from back then. Happy week. 🙂
Those are some great songs, for sure! What a fun way to choose your songs. 🙂
Hi again, Sandee. This comment is mine. Not sure why it was posted as “anonymous.” 🙂
It’s the new WordPress commenting system. I’m not impressed. 🙂
I’m glad you thought so. It sure brought back fond memories. 🙂
OMC Sandee, you brought back so many memories to Granny with your great playlist, straight from the start. 1969 was the year that Granny, 11 years old, and her family emigrated to the Netherlands and where she heard all this great mewsic for the first time. Goosbumps then and goosebumps still😺 Man, those were the days…Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day and let’s dance the day away😹🐾😽💞
I’m so happy I nailed this for you. I loved listening to the music I’ve not heard in years too. Double Pawkisses to the kitties and a big hug to you. 🙂
1969 was a good music year. I knew, when Crimson and Clover was the first song, that it was going to be good. I knew all but one of the songs. Thank you for the play list.
You’re most welcome. Happy weekend. 🙂
Great theme idea and great song picks! I love the oldies!! 🙂
Me too. I always love the oldies. 🙂
