Who are the Music Moves Me bloggers? They are bloggers who blog about music each Monday and if you have music to share, you are most welcome to join!
Our host is Cathy from Curious as a Cathy. Her co-hosts are: Stacy from Stacy Uncorked, and Alana from Ramblin’ with AM.
I’m pleased to be November’s Honorary Co-hostess. The theme this week is freedom of music choice, no theme week.
We’d love more music lovers to join us. It’s easy! All you have to do is add your link with a music post that contains at least one music video (there must be a music video). And that’s it!
This week is dedicated to my youth. Such fond memories of my parents love of the music of the time.
What a joy, seeing all those vintage ads in this video. Someone went to a lot of trouble to put together this collection. I’ll be enjoying the playlist now and again this week. Bing Crosby. Sentimental Journey. Butterball. Thank you! Alana ramblinwitham
It was a wonderful walk down memory lane. Happy week. 🙂
Yep, Gramma loves this music and Mom remembers hearing it around the holidays too.
Yes we grew up listening to this music. Lovely. 🙂
These need to be played now! It would do us a lot of good.
I agree with you, my friend. Hugs. 🙂
Just like the Pilgrims used to play
Well not quite, but it’s great music. 🙂
I had this playing in the background while I was reading other blogs. I totally enjoyed it. It was like a step back in time
That’s the holidays for me, a step back in time. 🙂
What a delightful video! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Sandee. Happy Monday! Hugs.
I thought it fit my view of the holidays. Reminds me of my youth too. Happy Monday and hugs back. 🙂
Sandee,
There’s nothing like good ole memories from holiday seasons past. I have such warm feelings of bygone days spent with my grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings. Those were sweet times. It’s been a long time that we’ve gathered around a full table. People no longer here are missed dearly but live in my heart forever, though, no words are truer than “I’ve Got Plenty To Be Thankful For”. Great song to kick off your music set. Have a blessed Thanksgiving, dear friend!
This is what I was going for. Bygone days with many that are no longer with us. Love and hugs, Cathy. 🙂
Love the vintage ads. Very nice.
I loved them too. I remember them all. 🙂
I actually really enjoyed the ads from the video! A funny one with what looks like an evil turkey chasing a boy, the usual sexist ones with women cooking, and an advert for cigarettes to make your Christmas merry 😂 Brilliant. They don’t make them like that anymore!
Happy Monday, Sandee! I hope you have a lovely week ahead 💐🌷🌹🌺 xx
It was a different time. A simpler time. Happy Monday and week, Caz. Big hug. 🙂
Nothing like some familiar songs for a great old-fashioned American holiday!
Reminded me of my youth. Love that old music. 🙂
So do I….
What wonderful vintage ads! I loved them so much!
