Get to Know You

Each week, Kymber of Booomcha posts three questions in an effort to helps us get to know each other better. I decided it would be a fun meme to do.

Here are 3 questions:
1. If you could make one everyday task 10% easier, which one would you pick?
2. What’s something you know an oddly specific amount about?
3. What’s a piece of common advice you’ve decided simply does not apply to you?

Here are my answers:
1. Vacuuming. Having kitties keeps the vacuum working a lot. We have a lot of floor space and lots of nooks and crannies.
2. Being a first mate on a boat. I spent years knowing how to set up and breakdown lines to dock and then to leave the dock. There’s lots of moving parts. It was a fun time.
3. Patience. I have little patience anymore so I bring a book with me to wait here and there. When I’m driving I count to ten often.

And that, my friends, is a touch of booomcha. And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem!  Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome, too. Just head over to Kymber’s Round #94 to participate.

Love you answers. We only have carpet on the stairs so the dust mopping we do as well. It’s never ending.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to Katie Isabella. 🙂

  1. Skunk says:

Agree on #1. The pet rock doesn’t like vacuuming either; causes it to cough up dust balls.
    2. Sniffing out online scams. After 26 years it’s entirely too easy.
    3. Forgive and forget. Once a trust is violated and you find other cracks in someone’s veneer, I’m not inclined to look the other way.

Excellent Boomcha! Love the idea of always having something to read whenever you’re out and about. I neglected to do that last week at the dentist and it was a 30+ minute wait. Ugh. Thanks, I’m gonna implement that one! Nice to learn those other two things about you. You are truly one very interesting soul dear Sandee.

    • Sandee says:

Books help me cope with waiting. I get lost in the book and lose track of the time I’m waiting. Works for me every time. I’m an old soul, not sure about interesting. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to handsome Wilson. 🙂

  3. Amy Sandy says:

I especially liked your answer to #2, as that is something I would have never know about you. Here’s mine:
1.Getting ready for bed: I just want to flop into bed, instead of flossing & brushing teeth, washing face, taking pills, changing clothes, etc.
    2. Dog grooming3
    3. Don’t let the dogs on the furniture. Or feed them from the table.

We sold our boats about three years ago, so that part of our life went by the wayside. I sure enjoyed boating for over 20 years. Love your answers. It’s a great meme to get to know folks better. Happy day and rest of the week. Scritches to the precious pups. 🙂

  4. Kymber Hawke says:

Love love love your answers, Sandee!

Keeping up with the vacuuming is hard, so it’d be great if that were 10% easier, for sure.

It’s so cool that you were 1st Mate on a boat. You are so talented!

Bringing a book with you and counting to 10 is excellent advice!

Thank you so much for playing, my friend! I hope you’re having a terrific day! Love and hugs xo

  5. ghostmmnc says:

Good answers, especially agree with the vacuuming. I always hated doing floors, too. .. Oh a blast from the past … I’d forgotten about your fun boating days you wrote a lot about back then. Good idea to bring a book (or kindle) to pass the time while waiting places. … Hope you are enjoying summer so far! ♥

  6. Kitties Blue says:

Mom says she knows way too much about R ratings for insulation and ISO 15 from when she was writing for the regional business journal! We are not surprised about your boat knowledge. When she knows she is going to have wait somewhere, like the doctor’s office, she doesn’t wear a watch! • Sandee says:

Not wearing a watch is a brilliant idea. Happy day and rest of the week. Scritches to all the kitties, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and a big hug to mom. Happy Birthday to Kismet. 🙂

  7. charles anderson peterson says:

Counting to ten while driving just doesn’t cut it for me anymore! I got up to twenty, then thirty… closing in on 100!!😂

  8. messymimi's meanderings says:

#1, mealtime. When you come home from work, you don’t want to spend a long time getting ready for dinner.
#2, how to get stains out of a toilet.
#3, work to improve areas where you are weak. Nope, keep improving the areas where you are strong and make good friends of those who can fill in the gaps where you are weak. Or marry someone who is strong where you are weak.

    • Sandee says:

I love your answers and especially the last one. Where I’m weak, hubby is strong. Were he is weak, I’m strong. Works out wonderfully. Happy day and weekend. Love and hugs. 🙂

If you could make one everyday task 10% easier, which one would you pick?
Keeping our patio clean of bird…..uh…..leavings…..
What’s something you know an oddly specific amount about?
Food and cooking and above all, measurings with measuring cups or spoons!
What’s a piece of common advice you’ve decided simply does not apply to you?
Tips on eating well and weight loss, etc….boy, do we eat well and healthily!

  10. Ann Thompson says:

I would have to say housework in general, cleaning up after Gibbs and I can’t think of a 3rd.
Not sure about the second question
And the last one, patience works for me too. I have none.

    • Sandee says:

I hate housework. Patience is something many of us wish we had more of. Happy day and weekend, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. 🙂

  11. Mr. Ohh! says:

    I like your answers
For me it’s keeping my garage clean we use it for storage and it’s always a mess
Setting up IVs and drawing blood. I’m not a nurse but I have to get this done every week. And now can do it myself
I’ll go with patience. I’m like you on this
    🤣😎🙃
