Friendly Fill-ins

Each Thursday Ellen of 15andmeowing and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs, provide Friendly Fill-in questions.

Ellen came up with the first two questions and Lorianne came up with the last two questions.

If you need help, please let either Ellen or Lorianne know.

Here are this weeks questions:
1. I hope the Easter Bunny brings me ____________.
2. My favorite part of the Easter ( or Passover) meal is _____.
3. I’m most looking forward to ______ this weekend.
4. For me, this time of year ________.

Here are my answers:
1. I hope the Easter Bunny brings me lots of chocolate.
2. My favorite part of the Easter (or Passover) meal is nothing. We don’t do a special meal for Easter. We don’t do special meals for Thanksgiving or Christmas either.
3. I’m most looking forward to visiting my granddaughter and great grands this weekend.
4. For me, this time of year makes me happy. Spring is my favorite of all the seasons.

Oh I hope he brings me chocolate too 🙂
I love spring as well. Yesterday I noticed little green leaves just starting to sprout on the tree in my front yard. It instantly brightened my mood.

I will be stuck eating rice elbows with cheese and applesauce for dessert. we don’t do holiday at all, none of them, meals or celebrations. in the past, my mother did every holiday and here meals made the table groan. pie and cake were my favoirtes back then

We’re in the same boat. It’s our decision and that works for us. We’re having hamburgers on Sunday for dinner. Hubby grills some really good hamburgers. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

Happy Easter to you too. I’m going to do much of that on Sunday. Saturday we’re going to visit our granddaughter and our great grands. 🙂

We don’t do much for many holidays; it’s just the two of us kicking around.
I did go out to a restaurant yesterday, and ate until I was full to the gills…such yummy food.
    That was fun!

    • Sandee says:

That’s what we do. We do our menu each weekend and then shop on Sunday or Monday. We don’t put anything special into the holidays. We do on our anniversary though. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I wouldn’t eat it, Steve. Don’t do many sweets. My exception is ice cream and I plan on having that sometime this summer. You’re welcome for the add. 🙂

    Sandee,

I’m sorry for not visiting regularly this month but I sure do appreciate you stopping by my place. I’m ready for April to be over so I can get this challenge behind me. lol That kitty is so cute. I’m looking forward to the pineapple upside down cake. Yum!

Chocolate is good in the Easter Basket. we finally found some hard shell Cadbury mini eggs to put in our candy jasr hahaha and also five different treats for the five grands and great grands that we buy for. I hope you have a wonderful visit with your granddaughter and the greatgrands. Hope the weekend is a great one. HUGS across the miles

    • Sandee says:

We bought two Easter baskets for our great grands with lots of toys inside and not much candy. We’ll give the eldest great money and we got a big bag of different candy bars for everyone. Hugs back, my friend. 🙂

  7. Anne Marie Robinson says:

Enjoy your time with your granddaughter and the great grands. ALways the best time with loved ones we care so much for. We have brunch at Brittany and Jeremy’s house SONday and than we have prime rib for the five of us SONday evening. I am making a chocolate cake from a recipe Valerie Bertinelli shared in her latest book. We take a fruit tray to Jeremy’s and Rebekah is preparing a spiral ham. Noelle does all the favorite brunch french toast and hashbrown casserole. Jeremy is the bacon master and Brittany had bagels and toast and we have a Mimosa bar too. Frendly FILL iN’S WERE GREAT TOO.!
