Friendly Fill-ins

Each Thursday Ellen of 15andmeowing and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs, provide Friendly Fill-in questions.

Ellen came up with the first two questions and Lorianne came up with the last two questions.

If you need help, please let either Ellen or Lorianne know.

Here are this weeks questions:
1. I have given up ______________.
2. On St. Patrick’s Day, I ___________.
3. I get cranky when _________.
4. _________ is my good luck charm.

Here are my answers:
1. I have given up on traveling. We had several trips planned and then the virus hit. I can’t imagine staying in a hotel now.
2. On St. Patrick’s Day, I do the same as every other day. We have corned beef and cabbage many times during the year, but never on St. Patrick’s Day.
3. I get cranky when I haven’t eaten or had enough sleep.
4. Hubby is my good luck charm.

    Little sweetie!
I agree with you on #1. I am so desperate to go on a break but won’t feel safe in a hotel. We would most likely go self catering when it feels safer, but my own pillows and bedding will definitely go with us. I am a poor sleeper and get cranky too.

  2. Ann Thompson says:

    What a sweet little kitten.
I’m the same as you. Nothing different on St. Patricks Day. I cooked corned beef once a long long time ago and it was horrible. Apparently I just didn’t know what I was doing then but I’ve never tried to cook it again.

  3. foguth says:

Meowser Ms. Sandee, indeed, we cats should be the way you begin your day… particularly if you’re handy with can openers and your first action is serving breakfast.
Thank you for hosting this blog hop.

  4. Sandra Hangey says:

I get cranky a lot! And I think it’s because I’m old. St Patrick’s Day I will be greeting the plumber who is coming to fix the leaks in the bathroom and the kitchen sink

  5. Cecilia Upchurch says:

MOL MOL Sandee I can’t remember ever having corn beff and cabbage on St. Pat’s day either…It is a hearty meal that I often have in the winter. Precious kitty
I know what you mean about trips requiring hotel stays. I was a germOphobic before Covid. Traveled with clorox wipes before it was necessary.
    Hugs Cecilia

  6. -Eugenia says:

Precious little kitty! I am not afraid to travel and stay in a hotel. We’ve have always brought cleaning supplies with us and wiped down all surfaces, etc. Plus, we usually stay at the same hotels and are aware of how clean they are. On St. Patrick’s Day, we usually travel to Blue Ridge, but we’ll wait until later on in the year to make the trip. I get cranky for the same reasons you do and yep, hubby and my kitty are my good luck charms.

  7. 15andmeowing says:

Such a cute kitten. Thank you for hosting Feline Friday and for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I don’t blame you for not wanting to stay in a hotel- me either. And how sweet that your hubby is your good luck charm. Have a nice weekend. XO

    • Sandee says:

I’m shocked that you’re done with Cage. Shocked. I thought I would never hear you dumping him. I can see why, but wow. You have a nice weekend too, Ellen. Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins. 🙂

  8. Pamela Jackson says:

    Here are this weeks questions:
    1. I have given up ever feeling normal (whatever that is) again.
    2. On St. Patrick’s Day, I wear GREEN.
    3. I get cranky when I feel used by someone.
    4. _________ is my good luck charm
Don’t have one for the last question…..maybe I need to go in search for one! lol
    Happy Friday.

    • Sandee says:

I love your #3 answer. I hadn’t thought of that and I agree with you. I don’t like being used either. Thanks for playing along, Pam. Have a great weekend. 🙂

  9. Kathe W. says:

What a darling kitty! and great fill-ins! Have a great weekend- are you headed for the water?
    Here are my answers!

I have given up believing what comes out of the media and politicians mouths,
On St. Patrick’s Day, I will wear my shamrock earrings.
I get cranky when I don’t eat enough protein.
My sweetheart is my good luck charm.

    • Sandee says:

No it’s to cold for the boat right now. Freezing and that’s not our idea of fun at all. I hear you on politicians and include the lamestream media and Hollyweird. Thanks for playing along. Big hug. 🙂

  10. Wing Commander Basil & The B Team says:

Supurr fill-ins and the P.A. can’t imagine what it would be like going on a vacation now either, best stay at home instead! MOL Gorgeous kitten today, she reminds us of Miss Mildred who departed OTRB in 2007. Happy weekend and big hugs to mew from us XOX

    • Sandee says:

We’re fine staying home. We have projects and have kept busy with those things. We’ve done fine during this pandemic. Well after we laid in some toilet paper. We were really short on that. It was scary. Big hugs coming your way. 🙂

  11. Adorapurr says:

I think cabbage is stinky, but I do enjoy a good corned beast now and then. Also, I am very crabby too when I don’t get my noms on time… 8am and 4pm seven days a week. As for traveling, I don’t like it at all. Not to the vet. Not to the Blogpaws conference in Kansas City. Nope! I am not a traveler.

  12. Deborah says:

Sandee this photo is so precious and sweet, and inspired me to follow your lead! I could not find a photo as beautiful as yours! Have a fun Friday and weekend with lots of big hugs! 🙂 <3

  13. mjgolch says:

I love the kitty, screwball looked just like that the day he come home with me. He has since has some orange coloring show up in his coat. Celestine and I gave up on traveling a long time ago. On St Patrick’s day,I’m not doing anything special. I get cranky when I don’t eat enough, or when I suffer computer grief, or when something else aggravates me. Celestine was my good luck charm. God knows how much I miss her.

    • Sandee says:

It did look like Screwball when you first got him. Cranky isn’t fun, but it happens. I miss Celestine too. I’m glad we got to talk to each other. 🙂

  14. Patricia says:

1.I have given up trying to make other people happy…they are on their own now.
2.On St Pat’s Day, I do the same stuff I do every other day.
3.I get cranky when trying to fix some cyber-thingie that isn’t working.
    4. Faith is my good luck charm.

    Have a wonderful week-end, Sandee.

    • Sandee says:

I hear you. Happy 99% if the time, but when I’m hungry or tired it’s awful. I should have added when I’m sick. Hate being sick. Smooches to Luke and tell him I love him. 🙂

  15. Rosey says:

I hear you about the traveling. We are on Spring Break starting today and I considered going to Key West (I’ve never been) but I don’t want to risk getting Covid so we’re staying home.

  16. Rosey says:

    Ohh…here’s mine (almost forgot). 🙂

I have given up soda and I don’t miss it one iota.
On St. Patrick’s Day, I don’t even remember it’s the holiday.
I get cranky when my students want to chat and play during transitions from the classroom to lunch. It’s my only ongoing battle this year, so I guess I’ve got it pretty good. 😉
Vacation time is my good luck charm (it must be because I sure feel lucky to be on Spring Break!). 🙂

  17. The OP Pack says:

Mom and Dad haven’t traveled in a long time either. They both got their second vaccinations today, but travel is still not happening any time soon.

we lie to think we are Mom’s good luck charms:)

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  18. L.M.G. Miller says:

What a precious kitty! And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I can really relate to your #3, because nothing makes me crankier than being hungry and/or tired. Have a wonderful weekend!

  19. Marv, Jo Jo, Kozmo, Cinnamon and Barb says:

What a terrific looking kitten! I And your fill ins rock. We were hoping to have corned beef and cabbage but none of the stores I was in in the big city has any! So I guess we will have to forego tradition this year…I hope Jo Jo forgives me, maybe if I give her more treats…the cats always love it when I cook chicken. hope you are having a terrific weekend and perhaps out boating. Have a glorious weekend, Barb.

    • Sandee says:

No it’s a bit to cold for boating. Perhaps next weekend. The temps will be hitting in the low 70s again next week. You have a glorious weekend too. Scritches to the kitties, a smooch to Marv and a hug to you. 🙂

  20. Anne Robinson says:

I am late but here! I posted Feline Friday at both blogs. It has been an unusual week and we are gearing up for what they say is a massive snow storm that may produce 40 inches of snow. We are ok just concerned about the talk about power outtages. Life is hard, I have been spending my time praying harder. LOVE and HUGS to you my friend.
I love oyur Friendly FIll In answers. I Posted mine yesterday. I am a little whacky this week. Quack Quack, Quack

  21. Anne M Robinson says:

Oh your photo is ever so sweet. I sure love how you think. Your answers are terrific. I am very grateful to be here and even moreso to be your friend. I hope your weekend is beautiful and wonderful and all good things fall into your la today. HUGS

  22. DrillerAA says:

Seems like I’m running a day late and a dollar short this week.

I have given up on politicians…not that I ever really had any faith in any of them.
On St. Patrick’s Day, I don’t do anything special. I might wear a Kelly green baseball cap.
I get cranky when a politician takes credit for all of the good in this country and blames the other side for all of the bad in this country.
Yes indeed, my wife is my good luck charm. Actually, she’s far more than that. I married waaay above my pay grade.

  23. meowmeowmans says:

That little kitty is so cute (and tiny)! 🙂

We, too, are known to get angry when we haven’t eaten, and cranky when sleep-deprived.

    Happy weekend, Sandee!
