We’re staying home this weekend so I hope we’ll be safe. It’s crazy everywhere on the three day holidays. 🙂

  1. Ann Thompson says:

    Those kittens are adorable.
I get frustrated sometimes doing crafts too. Especially when things aren’t going together as planned.

  2. 15andmeowing says:

Such adorable kittens. Thank you for hosting Feline Friday. And thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Lucy is my favorite too.I think we were all shocked when 9/11 happened, such a tragedy. XO

  3. Kathe W. says:

love these tuxedo kitties! and yes 9/11 was horrible- I think we all were shocked and since then not that sure of our safety. The world is different now. Hugs to you and Zane! xoxo

    • Sandee says:

We all felt that same sense of being unsafe. I so remember. Hugs to you and Russell and lots of scritches to Miss Lucy. 🙂

  4. violaetcetera says:

Yes, Lucy is a force to be reckoned with!
I think 9/11 changed the world. Even after all the years I still can remember how I learned about it and feel the horror.
    Have a great Feline Friday!

    • Sandee says:

I don’t even start anything anymore. I’ll buy what I want or ask someone that is crafty to make something for me and then pay them. 🙂

  5. Cube says:

Precious kittens. I’ll take both, thank you.

As to the fill ins, my first thought was Lucy. Who else, right? Speed forward to question #4… I was the first person to graduate from college in my family and I conquered many things that women weren’t supposed to achieve, but my singular failure in life, something I couldn’t conquer, was a sewing machine.

    • Sandee says:

I love Lucy. I too am the first and only in my family with a degree. I can sew either. Hubby can and he loves it. I am horrible. 🙂

  6. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

    Those kittens are adorable!
9/11 will always stay in people’s memory. Even though I am in the UK, I was watching the news after my husband had told me there had been an accident. As I was watching live coverage the second plane hit. Those images and the aftermath will remain in my memory for ever.

  7. -Eugenia says:

Cute B/W kittens, Sandee! I like your answers. Snoopy is my fav Peanuts character. I knew I was no longer a child when I went to college. Not much shocks me. I feel frustrated when I try to fix my computer. Have a great weekend!😉

  8. Dakota/Caren/Cody says:

I AM Lucy!!!!! lol!!! Now, speaking of crafts, this will give you a chuckle. I can draw quite well, not great at painting, can do a few other things but………when it comes to using yarn, string, etc fuhget about it!!!!! At Kent State I once took a macrame class (it was BIG in the 70s)………..couldn’t do it to save my life!! The instructor told me that in her 25 years of teaching she had never met ANYONE that she couldn’t teach how to macrame….until me……………………sending tons of love!

    • Sandee says:

I can’t do anything with yarn either. It’s just sad. I flunked home economics in high school. Now that’s bad. 🙂

  9. Jan K says:

I know it’s not responsible any more, but I sure miss the days when we let our cats have kittens! Someday I hope to maybe foster a mama cat and kittens to get my fix. 🙂
Snoopy is my favorite, but Lucy is definitely second!

  10. A ShutterBug Explores says:

Look at those adorable kitties! Love your fill-ins Lucy is sure ‘snarky!’ ~

Xox to you from me and Zoe ~ we are looking forward to our weekend on the deck (far from the maddening crowd! ) You have a great one too!

    Happy Day to You,
    A ShutterBug Explores,
    aka (A Creative Harbour)

    • Sandee says:

Thank, Carol. I love doing the fill-ins each week. They are fun and they make you think. Happy day and weekend to you and Ms. Zoe. 🙂

  11. kittiesblue says:

The tuxie kittens remind me of Mau and Misty May when they were babies. You are the last person I would think would like a “snarky” character. I love to do all kinds of crafts, but my hands really don’t allow me to do too much anymore. Thanks for linking us up. Have a terrific weekend. Hugs, Janet, Cooper M and Sawyer

    • Sandee says:

I can be snarky. In a funny way though. I wish I could wave a magic wand and you’d be able to do all the things you want to do. Hug to you and lots of lovies and scritches to Sawyer and Cooper Murphy. 🙂

  12. Cathy Keisha says:

Great answers but I bet noone was more shocked than my Pop when the second plane almost crashed into his building on it’s way into the World Trade Center. I still cowers when he hears a plane flying low.

  13. Pamela Jackson says:

I just love those kitten faces!!! Beautiful. You answers are great. Mine would go something like this~1. My favorite Peanuts character is _______Snoppy__.
    2. I knew I was no longer a child when ____, (not sure I ever was.) when I started buying my own clothes.
    3. I was shocked when I learned that _______I was to be a grandma_.
    4. I always feel frustrated when I try to _do things I want to and can’t do to the fibro..

  14. Rose A (@mail4rosey) says:

    Aww sweet sibling sweethearts.

My favorite Peanuts character is Snoopy (and as an aside, most of my students have no idea what Peanuts is, unheard of, I know!).
I knew I was no longer a child when I had a child.
I was shocked when I learned that a teacher I know and love calls students to the front of the class to belittle and humiliate them. 🙁
I always feel frustrated when I am running out of time but am not yet done with what needs to be done.

    • Sandee says:

Thanks for playing along. Yikes on that teacher. Not a good way to instill confidence in our future leaders. Have a great weekend. 🙂

      • Rose A (@mail4rosey) says:

The things you learn when you start class with a mandatory Social Emotional Learning circle each day. I didn’t like the idea of doing it at first (we have so much work to do!) but the principal said every class has to do it, and so we do. It’s turned out to be something the kids love.

  15. Jim says:

Little kittens are sooo cute. These twins are no exception but I’ll take the one on our right. That one has black inside his ears, the other’s are light. Like you, I had to work milking cows at age five.

My answers to this weeks questions:
    1. My favorite Peanuts character is __Snoopy_____.
    2. I knew I was no longer a child when __i had to work at age five milking cows____.
    3. I was shocked when I learned that ___Amelia Earhart was rumored to be a man _____.
    4. I always feel frustrated when I try to __calm an angry person and cannot___.
    🙂 .. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

Thanks for playing along, Jim. I remember milking those cows, but I didn’t feel like an adult yet. I hear you on #4. Happy Labor Day. 🙂

  16. meowmeowmans says:

Look at those babies. They’re so cute! And I can see in the background that they get their coloring from their mama cat. 🙂

Yes, I think 9/11 shocked all of us. Living so close to NYC, we, too, were affected deeply and irrevocably.

  17. Invisibly Me says:

Aww they’re such cuties! Lucy is pretty cool. Isn’t it strange how so many of us remember where we were and how we learned of 9/11, even here in the UK I can remember the shock of it.
You’re not alone in getting frustrated with crafts, or art. Which is sad, because I’d like to get back into a little drawing (as awful as I am at it!) Do you know what makes you frustrated with it?
I hope you’re having a relaxing weekend lovely xx

    • Sandee says:

The frustration for me is not being able to do it. Or doing it so poorly. I just don’t have the craft gene. You have a great Sunday. 🙂

  18. Tony McGurk says:

My favorite Peanuts character is Snoopy
I knew I was no longer a child when I joined the Navy.
I was shocked when I learned that Sheep have hooves, (Because they are soft & woolly I thought they had paws)
I always feel frustrated when I try to remember things I can’t

  19. L.M.G. Miller says:

What precious kitties! And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I’ve always really enjoyed Lucy’s snarky nature. I did always wish she was less of a bully, but still liked her sass. I hear you on the crafts. I love drawing and doing certain paper crafts, but any other crafts or DIYs always leave me feeling so frustrated. Have a wonderful day!
