Received an email from Cecilia Upchurch (Down Home in NC) letting me know that Terry from Brian’s Home is in the hospital with heart issues and needs our prayers. He will be having a stress test tomorrow. Updates will be available when there is additional news.

LLB in Our Backyard is having their annual No Tricks, Just Treats for Shelters Blog Hop. This is a fund raiser to help various shelters. This event will span October 30 and 31st. I’m helping by spreading the word about this fund raiser. The LLB Gang will be donating $1 per hop entry and 50¢ for each comment. What am I going to do besides this post? I’m going to match their donations. So go HERE on Wednesday the 30th and Thursday the 31st and link up to the hop and comment. Let’s do it for all the babies that need our help.
Last Thursday Brian (and his peeps) from Brian’s Home posted about helping feral cats. Then, Monday (October 28th), we’ll take a peek into how Marg over at Marg’s Animals got started taking care of her menagerie. On Tuesday, October 29th, we’ll wrap up our trio of “Helping Paws” by looking at Legacy Boxer Rescue, where The Legacy Chronicles’ Matilda and her angel siblings Casey, Jessie and Cinderella were rescued and united with their furr-ever Mama!
I’m not including the comments left here only the comments left at LLB in Our Backyard and their blog hop links. Please help by linking up and commenting. Thank you!
I’ve been on WordPress less than a week and I can’t tell you how much I love WordPress. Things are so much easier to do here than on blogger. Here’s a few examples:
When I first moved over here I had a few issues. It was just getting used to the new way of doing things. The one thing I wanted to do was have all my awards on my menu bar. They just didn’t look right after I moved here, so I searched for creating a gallery. Here’s what I found: How to Create an Image Gallery in WordPress.
When I set up all these awards in blogger I did them one at a time after I resized each one of them. On WordPress you don’t have to do that. I saved all my awards on my desktop and then highlighted them and dumped them into my gallery, after choosing the thumbnail size. They started uploading until they were done. All 110 at the same time. I hit publish and I was done. I can do in a few minutes what took me hours in Blogger to do.
The commenting system is hands down miles ahead of Blogger commenting system.
The drag and drop photographs are amazing. It will fit into your post the right way without you having to resize. Just grab a corner and it will resize while maintaining proportions. So easy. Image Credit: Click on image
Word Press Support is fantastic.
There are plugins for tons of cool stuff.
All this and I’ve not even been here a week. Imagine what I’ll find out next week!
I should have moved here long ago.
If you use WordPress what do you love about this system?
