Lil’ Bit loves sleeping on the stairs, but now she’s starting to take over my reading chair. What do I do when she’s in my chair? I read somewhere else. She’s so precious.

I do the same thing – if Teddy was “there” first, then I just need to be quicker next time in finding the ideal sitting location. I never disturb him wherever he has “planted” himself!

Kitty is slowly devising a plan to make you look like her. Soon your will have her fur all over you when you sit in that chair, step one of the plan, LOL!
We have kitty fur all over us most of the time. The vacuum runs often here. 🙂
Gibbs often takes my spot on the couch if I get up. He takes over the blanket I was using. I do the same thing. I sit somewhere else.
Funny how they take over our spots. Such precious family members they are. 🙂

Lil’ Bit I like your new throne for comfort and it is a lovely chair. Yep house rule is where the feline is sitting/sleeping it is theirs til they decide to move. I am a stickler for making the bed. Rule is last up makes it. Bryan would get up quickly. However, if Madi was in it she could stay all day and I’d happily make it up for her. MOL MOL

We let our babies do what they wish. We often can’t make our bed for hours and hours and our babies are sleeping on it. We never bother them. Love and hugs, my friend. 🙂

Yes, they will take over your favorite spot. My wife has to share a chair with Lucy, near the window, in the den. Lucy will share, but she will not move out of the chair. If my wife sits in the chair first, Lucy simply wedges herself between my wife and the arm of the chair and faces the window so she can see what’s going on in the front yard and on the sidewalk. Funny little critters are our pets.

So I do this too, I just hate to disturb the collies when they are comfy. But….my Maizie has realized this, and the second I get up and leave the room, she claims my chair! Depending on the day, and if I’m watching something on the TV, I have started to ask her to move. (But for Ryder, at 13 1/2 years old, I give up my spot.)
They know that wherever you sit is a prized spot. I’m convinced of that. Happy week. 🙂

My Cleo looked a lot like Lil Bit, and he (OK, we found out he was a boy after we had named him) was a really great cat!
And yes, I sit elsewhere, too, when someone -usually Xena – takes over my usual spot. What else are we supposed to do? Oh, yes, sometimes I just pick her up and hold her, and she’s usually ok with that, too.
We do whatever our babies want. They need their comfort and we let them. Scritches to the pups and a hug to mom. 🙂

She’s not a lap cat yet. She was so feral when we first got her inside that she didn’t want us very close. That’s changed now, but a long way to go. We’re patient. Happy week, my friend. Hugs. 🙂
