Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Germany, officially the Federal Republic of Germany, is a country in Western and Central Europe. It lies between the Baltic Sea and the North Sea to the north with the Alps to the south. Its sixteen constituent states have a total population of over 82 million, making it the most populous member state of the European Union. Germany borders Denmark to the north; Poland and the Czech Republic to the east; Austria and Switzerland to the south; and France, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands to the west. The nation’s capital and most populous city is Berlin and its main financial centre is Frankfurt; the largest urban area is the Ruhr.   Source: Wikipedia

  1. onespoiledcat – Virginia – We are Angel Sammy and Teddy......! Two ginger cats - one left for the Rainbow Bridge in December of 2016 (but still keeps in touch...) and the other in the "here and now" having lots of fun. Join us as we try to bring smiles to everyone around us with our blog.
    Pam and Teddy says:

Love Germany……as a child lived in Weisbaden – then many years later visited the beautiful country’s pretty riverside towns on a river cruise. Friendly people, beautiful sights to see…many memories in my heart forever.

    Hugs, Pam

Very interesting. We have only visited Warnemunde in the north during a cruise. The smaller ships go through the Kiel canal, but bigger ships go around Denmark to reach that coast passing under the Helsingborg Bridge between Denmark and Sweden, then under the Malmo Bridge.

I love how maps show not only where cities are located but the most lovely shapes of countries and states. My Dad was stationed in Frankfort during the Korean war. Mainly because of his trade skills he was an electrician which were very much in demand. He thoroughly loved Germany.

  9. C.A. Peterson – Kentucky, USA, Earth (currently) – I love my earthside country. However, my citizenship is in Heaven.
    C.A. Peterson says:

Helmuth and Post (my Mother’s and Dad’s names) are both German. For the longest time, I thought Post was an English name (you know, Post Road, the Daily Post, etc.). But when we traveled in England I could not find anything about a family crest, but in Germany it was easy to find! My maternal grandparents were first generation Americans, but my Dad goes way back to pre-revolutionary war times.

Fascinating details. I did not know that Germany was situated so impactfully geographically and geopolitically in Europe. I also assumed its population was smaller for some reason.
