We traveled to Urology this morning and the exam ended up as we expected. Surgery to remove tissue from the overgrown prostate and allow urine flow is the treatment plan. I am still on a Foly catheter and expect to be until surgery.
We are now waiting on insurance approval and the various steps to get to the operating suite. The procedure includes an overnight hospital stay. This sounds like a fairly frequent problem and resolution.

Glad they have a treatment plan in place and it sounds like you can get going on the procedure fairly soon and get back to you regular life. We are happy things seem to be going pretty well.

Thanks for the update-yes this is a common condition-my dad had is and is now doing great-at 93 1/2 years of age! Sending all kinds of positive thoughts and healing energy. 💙

Zane, you’re a good writer, which means I’m not going to encourage you to write. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with these health issues. You do seem to be on top of things, which is a good thing. I know how it feels to have to battle insurance companies when you’re not feeling well, it is ridiculous. I will be sending good thoughts and prayers. Get well soon. It took one day to get insurance approval and he’s scheduled for surgery on May 6th. All the pre-op appointments have been set for next week. We’re good to go. Love you, Ann. 🙂

Please tell Zane I send continued prayers! Ugh, no Urology issues are fun. No fun at all! I just had lithotripsy number 20 and it was a disaster, but Zane will be FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lots and lots of positive energy/prayers are being sent his way!
