Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful our second remodel is in progress. This time they will be doing the upstairs flooring and both bathrooms. They will have a complete makeover. They are currently working on the downstairs bathroom and laundry room.

We learned that when you’re going to remodel you need to do everything. We didn’t do that and we’re going back and correcting that. We promise before and after shots. We are most pleased with the crews that are working on our home.

What are you thankful for today?

I’ve always thought it would be fun to totally gut the inside of my house and start from scratch. Of course, workers expect to get paid for this kind of thing so that plan is on hold for a while…lol
Look forward to seeing your before and after.

Remodel! I wish I could do a total gut job on my house, but alas it is too expensive right now. Plus the trades people are not available in the middle of nowhere! Thankfully the “bones” are ok, though the footprint of the kitchen would have been nice to re-arrange. I wanted to remove the peninsula but I discovered the cabinetry was attached directly to the studs and almost impossible to remove. I figured it was do everything all at once or just redo the floors and paint. So, I have “postponed” the remodel but the interior looks totally different. I have gone from the 1960s to the 2020s. I’ll be glad when my son and I have finished though. I would LOVE to see photos of your changes! Thanks for visiting us and Marv sends his love!
