Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful that we’re in the process of remodeling our upstairs. All the carpet will be gone and they are going to gut both bathrooms and completely remodel them. I can’t wait to see the difference. When they get done with that they will redo the bathroom downstairs. Funny how it looked fine before they did the downstairs work and after the facelift it looks tired and outdated. We’re even looking forward to all the dust we’ll have for weeks and weeks. It will be worth it when they are done.

I’m thankful for all my blogging friends. You bring me such joy. Thank you.

What are you thankful for today?

Oh how fun. I’ve thought many times that I would like to gut my whole house and start over. It is a mess while the work is going on but so worth it when it’s all done. As my brother used to say “A temporary inconvenience to a permanent solution.”

I’m sure it will. We love these guys and they are the same ones that did our downstairs. 🙂

sounds good and good you have one downstairs so they could both be done at the same time. just painting the front of the house walls this week has made the inside look dirty and dark… the problem inside is fix up one thing and the others show the need for fix up. downstairs can be next

That’s how it works. Once you get started you see all the other things that needs done. I know how that works. 🙂

We are comfy in our house as it is, but Mom thinks it could use some spiffing up, we just would have to find the finances to do it. Getting rid of the carpet on the main floor would be priority one. Enjoy your remodel!

We’ve saved and saved to do this. We are so happy that the carpet downstairs is gone. A dust magnet. 🙂

YAY remodeling for sure causes a ripple effect throughout the house but well worth ever speck of dust. In 2016 we had new carpet installed in the bedrooms and LVP flooring installed in Bryan’s train room upstairs and here in the office. Den/dining/kitchen has hardwood.
    Hugs Cecilia

I remember when my dad remodeled our house. One room at a time and his friend did a good job. Sadness comes over me when I think aobut the people living there now and the beautiful yard and fencing they destroyed to give it a dumpy look. But I am happy for you and know how thankful you are to have your house spruced up so beautifully. That is a great Thankful Thursday share. 🙂 Happy Easter & enjoy a great weekend.
