Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful for food. There are so many delightful dishes that we can enjoy. Planning our menu is always a delight and shopping to make sure we have everything we need. Hubby and I do this together and it’s one of the pleasures we enjoy.

Are these all the things on your menu? I’m coming to your house for dinner 🙂
I got to the point where I didn’t enjoy cooking much because Wade was such a picky eater. I would find something he liked but then the next time I made it he didn’t like it any more. Now I can make whatever I want but I hate cooking for just me. It’s not easy cooking in small portions.

We eat pretty well and we do our menus a week in advance. I hear you on the small portions. 🙂

We are thankful for delicious food too and we are also thankful that Hurricane Ida’s remnants just dropped small branches everywhere and left us with our electricity. It could have been so much worse.

      Sandee says:

I’m happy for you too. It can be worse and I’m glad it wasn’t for you. 🙂

Excellent topic. I’m thankful for having some teeth pulled, so I have to eat canned food until I get my mouth checked again. Yesterday’s follow-up inspection saw suture remnants still showing, so no dry for at least a few more days. Dad, on the other hand, is just thankful to be eating real, solid food again after his, um, hollowing out.

I so remember the teeth pulling and different menu. I know about that hollowing out. 🙂

Mom loves to cook too but right now she is kind of afraid of food because despite eating healthy she had the heart attack and now she doesn’t really feel much like eating or cooking. It’s a bummer.

Sadly myself and my hubby both do not like to cook he will not even help me come up with a menu or tell me what he wants to eat for the next week and I totally hate cooking and I also don’t like shopping so it makes it a really big chore. You are truly blessed that both of you like recipes and that you get help with deciding what to have and fixing it also

I love food too and those dishes look amazing! I love the Thomas Keller quote, it is so very true – each dish needs to be unique to you and your family, with those little things that only you put into the dish that makes it so good.

It all looks delicious! Can I come over for dinner, Sandee? 😄 Hubby and I love to eat, but we’re not that talented when it comes to cooking. Right now, I am thankful we live in an area that isn’t prone to extremes of nature, like hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. Yeah, it gets a little cold in the winter, but that’s a reasonable trade-off. Happy Thursday!

Yes you can come over anytime you want for dinner. We’d have fun. Happy Thursday. 🙂
