  1. Aww! what a lovely kitten this one is extra cute heheh!

Nice answers Sandee going by your last one you were very astute, good job things are better these days 🙂

    Have a felinetastic FFS ➡

    • It’s a cute kitty indeed, Steve.

I spent 25 years in the Sheirff’s Department, so I got to do what I wanted to do in the end. Loved my career. 🙂

  2. Aww, that kitten is adorable. It is amazing how much you can miss if you don’t slow down and take a look around you. Good answers to the fill ins.

    • It sure is, Ann. It’s so simple to do a little me time everyday. Thanks on the comment about the fill-ins. I love doing these each week. 🙂

  3. Such a cute kitten. Love that picture. We sure do need to be aware of the beauty around us. Sandee, you and Zane have a great day.
Sandee, I couldn’t put our blog in. It just gave me a long message.

    • It was about Mr. Linky’s privacy policy. I linked you in. Not to worry. Have a great day and weekend, Marg. 🙂

    • We had a great time visiting. My granddaughter works a lot so it’s ever so fun when we can get together. 🙂

  4. foguth – Though Jeanne began her career technical writing, her love of romantic-suspense, whether it be present, future or in an unknown galaxy inspired her to write the novels she wanted to find in bookstores. Since marrying, Jeanne and her husband have lived from the arctic to the tropics, as well as from yacht to off-grid mountain home. She loves using vivid colors and flowing shapes in her oil paintings as well as creating edible landscapes. At present, she is finishing writing the Chatterre Trilogy and working on a new episode for The Sea Purrtector Files. You can always find out what she is working on and/or contact her at: www.jeannefoguth.com.

You chose a kitten, too! Great minds think alike 😉

  5. Very cute kitten. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am glad you got to visit with your family. I did not know you had wanted to join the military, very interesting. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. XO

    • You’re welcome. I enjoy participating in Friendly Fill-ins. Makes you think about things. I never wanted to do things that were just for females. Like housework, secretary, nurse and the like. I wanted to do the stuff guys got to do. I finally did too. 🙂

  6. curioussteph – Louisville, CO – June 2017: I started writing Curioussteph.com with this: By day, I'm a retired family physician turned body-oriented psychotherapist. I garden, travel, am owned by 2 elderly cats, figure skate and am training for my first triathlon. April 2020: Three years later, the two elderly cats have crossed the rainbow bridge, and we now have an 11 year old adoptee, Ziggy. I'm done with triathlon and skating for the time being, and I am still physically active, running, biking and walking. It's now the time of the coronavirus, which is affecting us all. July 2024: Four years later: I haven't been writing much, and change has continued. My partner of 36 years, BA has a number of health issues, primarily white matter disease, which has affected cognitive function and mobility. She has good days and bad, and so more of my time is spent managing our household and attending to her needs. My imagined retirement of spending half the year traveling isn't happening at the moment. Lots of adjustment and accommodation. Hoping to write more about retirement, and all the changes. We shall see.

Thanks, she’s avoiding me after the nail clipping. She knows the mats are next.

I write situational humor most of the time, but actually, there is no telling what I might turn out. So adorable! I haven’t seen a orange tabby in a long time. Love it!

Have a great day and wonderful week-end, Sandee. “Big Hugs” from Simon and I.

    • They are most adorable. Looks like this one has a lot of cattitude going on too. Big hug to you and scritches to Simon. Happy weekend. 🙂

Thank you Sandee, for fixing my double comments. I’m sorry about that…I just didn’t see them. Anyway, thanks again. Have a wonderful Saturday! And Simon says “Hi” and “Thank you for all of the scritches.” And, your right this one has cattitude and character.

“Big hugs” back to you. Don’t worry about replying i know you rest on the week-end, I just wanted to make sure my Feline Friday comment made it.

  8. That kitten is too cute to handle! And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! There really is so much beauty to see in this world. Sometimes we just have to stop and notice it. I hope you get to go on some wonderful boating adventures this summer! Have a beautiful day!

    -Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs)

    • I love participating in Friendly Fill-ins. We are getting ready for a cruise next month. Looking forward to getting the boat out of the shed and on the water. Have a beautiful day too. 🙂

  9. Cute photo. Your one fill-in reminds me how the FBI wanted to recruit my mother back in her youth! She declined, and I always wondered where that might have taken her as it didn’t seem they were planning to stick her in an office. Hmmm… Like you I considered joining the military out of high school but was turned down because of my asthma. Again, what might have been? ~sigh~ Oh, well. Take care!

    • What an honor to be asked to join the FBI. Way cool. It’s always the what might have been. We did fine though. You take care too. 🙂

  10. Such an adorable picture. Now I want a kitten.

Glad you were able to visit with your granddaughter this week. Time often seems to move by too quickly and we miss out on spending time with the ones we love.

    • When you’re young and busy making a living it’s hard to do many things. I so remember. Being retired allows us to do more of what we want to do, not what we have to do. 🙂

    • We sure do. I remember I rarely did it either and then one day I figured out how important it is to stop and smell the flowers. You have a great weekend too, Veronica. 🙂

    cute have a purrtastic weekend.

  12. Thanks for linking me. I didn’t even think of feline friday when I posted that. I wish Buddy was as photogenic as your cute little kitty. I need to work on the “stay” command. We’ve got “come” down pat.

    • I loved the shot of him with the shades, bow tie and pipe. Adorable. 🙂

  13. I'm going to keep adding resource information with the goal of providing information in an entertaining and informative way.

It is way too hot out so I’m staying inside. The best part of last week was not getting into a car accident. Every summer I give in and get my hair cut as short as possible. Once upon a time, I was thin.
    Have a great weekend, Sandee.

    • My hair is very short right now too. I let the gray grown out and she took most of the rest of the reddish blonde yesterday. It’s all good though. It gets hot here too, but not as hot right now. I’m wearing a jacket and it rained this morning. Sigh. Have a great weekend too. 🙂

I got it cut pretty short but not quite the pixie I usually get, yesterday. Too hot to exist so I’m back inside and not looking forward to tomorrow.

  15. Service Cats U.S. – I Audra, am the human behind Service Cats U.S. aka DezizWorld. I am disabled and use cats as service animals instead of dogs. They are just as capable and can perform duties other animals cannot. We started our online journey to bring awareness to the ability of cats and to help others understand the relationship between a service animal and their handler/person. We offer training tips and tricks that I have learned through the years along with other information on all things feline. We began this journey in 2014 with Lexi and Dezi. They have since gone on to heaven, but our journey continues. This blog is about our daily life from the kitty's point of view. I want this blog to be interactive and get to know all of you, so comment and visit often. I will also offer advice, training tips and education when possible. Mommy says she thought ’bout enterin’ the military too, but alas, she would’a been stuck in an office or a nurse back then too. Not what she wanted. MOL Have a great weekend. Big hugs

    Luv ya’

    • We were on the same page about the military for sure. Not what I wanted to do either. You have a great weekend too. Big hugs. 🙂

    • Yes we do. You beat me to the link up. Awesome. Have a purrfect Feline Friday. 🙂

  18. Sorry i am late to the party, it’s been a long day and i am trying to catch up.

Lovely cat, great answers! Yes, we need to appreciate the good things more.

    • Not to worry. You’re a busy person and I know that. You do appreciate the good things. You write about those good things almost every single day. 🙂

  19. Suzanne Gunter McClendon – I am a South Carolina native, but have been living on the Texas Gulf Coast for 17 years now. David and I have been married for almost 38 years. Our children are grown. We have two grandchildren and one on the way. I try to learn something new every day. My obsession is genealogy/family history research.
    Suzanne Gunter McClendon

Oh, wow! A granddaughter AND a great-granddaughter? You are so blessed. We don’t have either yet.
    Have a blessed weekend. 🙂

    • You’ll spoil them when you do. They are far more precious than your own babies. Why? I don’t know but it’s what happens. 🙂

Maybe it has to do with not having ultimate responsibility for them. You’re free to just love them, without all the worry of having to do everything just right like with your own babies. Maybe that is a part of it anyway. 🙂 Have a blessed weekend.

      Yes that kitty is trouble.

You’re getting a lot of rain in Florida right now. Hope you’re not in the path of Alberto.

We all thought life would be easy. It didn’t turn out easy for me either. 🙂

I didn’t mention how incredibly adorable that kitty is. My heart as well as outside body parts are melting. I saw Breakfast at Tiffanies yesterday and had forgotten what a well trained ginger kitty she had. There/s a part that will break an animal lover’s heart. I’d forgotten about too.

    • I’ve not seen that movie in a very long time. I’m going to have to watch it again. 🙂

  23. Beautiful kitty cat and great answers to the fill ins Sandee. Yet another thing we have in common, I did debate joining the military after I finished my nurse training, but decided it wasn’t for me. Your answer to #1 is sadly too true – everyone needs to slow down and enjoy the little things more.
    Have a lovely day.

    • We are much alike. I like that. We both found the love of our lives and that’s the very best part. 🙂

    • Yes, family is the best. I still did paramilitary by working for the Sheriff’s Office. It worked for me. 🙂
