Friendly Fill-ins

Each Thursday Ellen of 15andmeowing and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs, provide Friendly Fill-in questions.

Ellen came up with the first two questions and Lorianne came up with the last two questions.

Ellen of 15andmoewing lost her precious Prancie on Wednesday. If you haven’t paid your respects please do so by visiting and commenting on Forever Loved on Ellen’s blog.

If you need help, please let Lorianne know.

Here are this weeks questions:
1. When I’m _______ I _________.
2. I want to ______ for _______.
3. No one knows me better than _______.
4. _______ is a thought that crosses my mind often.

Here are my answers:
1. When I’m hungry I think of comfort food. Like pasta dishes, dishes with creamy potatoes, and big bowls of clam chowder with warm sourdough bread. I think of these things because I rarely eat them.
2. I want to spread kindness for the rest of my life. The hatred being spewed on so many fronts is awful. We need kindness.
3. No one knows me better than my husband. We can finish each others sentences. We can say the same thing at the same time. It’s amazing.
4. Thankful is a thought that crosses my mind often.

  1. foguth – Though Jeanne began her career technical writing, her love of romantic-suspense, whether it be present, future or in an unknown galaxy inspired her to write the novels she wanted to find in bookstores. Since marrying, Jeanne and her husband have lived from the arctic to the tropics, as well as from yacht to off-grid mountain home. She loves using vivid colors and flowing shapes in her oil paintings as well as creating edible landscapes. At present, she is finishing writing the Chatterre Trilogy and working on a new episode for The Sea Purrtector Files. You can always find out what she is working on and/or contact her at: www.jeannefoguth.com.

    • Kindness and comfort food does it for me too, Ann. Have a great day off tomorrow. 🙂

  3. You are so lucky to have your husband. The two of you are really made for each other! Happy Friday!

    • Yes we were made for each other indeed. We have a quiet and peaceful home. Neither of us had that in our past life. 🙂

  4. Memories of Eric and Flynn – I started this blog to show my holiday photos but haven't added to it for so long, but you can see my other holiday photos at https://allatseawithme.blogspot.com My main blog is my cat blog at https://twodevoncats.blogspot.com

Pretty cat. My comfort food is cottage pie. Whenever I am feeling down or my appetite is off, if I make a cottage pie I know I will eat it and enjoy it.
Ivor and I are the same with #3.

Amen to that, more kindness! I love those warming comfort foods too and I think eating them less often makes them all the more enjoyable and appealing to look forward to.
Happy Friday! Hope you have a lovely weekend ahead xx

    • That’s the same as we do here. Only have them on special occasions and that’s makes them even better. You have a lovely weekend ahead too, Caz. 🙂

  6. Deborah – South San Francisco, CA – I am a Wise Woman who has been on a spiritual journey for many years. My wisdom was not gained through a higher education but through the University Of Life and all the insight, knowledge gained through the pain of trials and tribulations on the path of weeping to healing. Though I have come a long way, I am not done yet! I still have much wisdom to gain, more growth through pain, and the beauty of spirit that come by continual shedding of the old to receive the new! Sweet Blessings!

Gorgeous baby! Have a great weekend Sandee! 😀

    • You have a great weekend too, Deborah. Thanks for playing along. 🙂

    • Yes, you are always kind and you show thankful all week long. I like that about you. 🙂

  7. Sandee,

Being thankful is on my mind always. I know everything in my life is here because of the Lord. I have friends who have more than me and I am happy for them, then there are those with less than me making me grateful. I saw a meme that goes something like if you’re not grateful for what you have then you’ll never be happy with what’s given to you. In short, people like that are seeking to fulfill a need but fail to see the blessings in their life resulting in misery always. Have a good weekend, my friend!

    • I agree with you. Money doesn’t make one happy. It takes far more than that. You have a good weekend too, my friend. 🙂

    • Yes to both counts on the kindness and being grateful and thankful. 🙂

    • I so love comfort food. I used to be able to eat anything, but not anymore. 🙂

    • Stay warm this weekend. The sun is shining right now, but it’s supposed to rain tomorrow. 🙂

    • We are not only on the same page but in the same book too. We’re goth lucky gals. 🙂

  8. What gorgeous eyes on that cat! I love your answers and you know, I haven’t had clam chowder in a long time. I am adding it to my list! Yes, kindness goes a long way! Have a fabulous weekend!

    • I have a cup now and then. So good and it’s good year around. You have a fabulous weekend too. 🙂

    • Thank you, Carol. You and Ms. Zoe have a fabulous day and weekend. See you Monday. 🙂

    • Mac and cheese is good too. There are so many wonderful comfort foods. Hugs back. 🙂

  9. I thought of “when I’m hungry” first too, but my answer was that when I’m hungry I sometimes get crabby if I can’t eat right away!
I think it’s a blood sugar thing, so I’m trying to eat less carbohydrates. “Trying” being the operative word. LOL
My hubby is my best friend. We are lucky ladies to have found our soul mates! 🙂

    • I’m borderline hypoglycemic and that cause issues if I don’t eat on a regular basis. Yes we are both lucky ladies. My hubby is my best friend too. 🙂

  10. What a stunning kitty! It reminds me a bit of one of my parents’ kitties, a sweet and fuzzy girl named Gilly. And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I know what you mean when it comes to thinking about comfort food when hungry. Most of my comfort foods are sweets, though, or anything cheesy. And your #4 is perfect. Having thankful thoughts is such a wonderful thing. Have a beautiful weekend!

    • Thank you for co-hosting and doing double duty since Ellen is grieving about Prancie. It’s most appreciated. 🙂

  11. What an adorable face this kitty has! Have a great weekend and I know you two will!
    Here are my answers!
    1. When I’m out walking I am able to see and hear lots of birds- so peaceful!.
    2. I want to become a more patient person for me and my family.
    3. No one knows me better than my sweetheart.
    4. A peaceful world is a thought that crosses my mind often.

    • I love all your answers. I’m not surprised by any of them and I love #4. Happy weekend. 🙂

We have a lot to be thankful for. Have a great weekend! 🤗 ((Hugs))

    • Yes we do. All we need to is take the time to see all the things we have to be thankful for. You have a great weekend too. Big hugs back. 🙂

    • Thank you for helping spread kindness, Viola. You have a great Feline Friday and weekend too. 🙂

As always, I love your Friday Feline and your Friday Fill-ins, Sandee. Now all I need is a bowl of seafood chowder (we make our own) and a crusty loaf of sour dough… A perfect January combination. Of course, kindness is always in season–may we sprinkle it lavishly everywhere! 🙂 xo

    • Hubby makes some great seafood chowder, but I’ll eat myself sick if he makes it. 🙂

  20. Wing Commander Basil & The B Team – UK – Well, now there's a question! Furstly and most importantly I'm a cat if mew hadn't already guessed. I got my Wing Commander status in September 2018 but that hasn't slowed me up at all! I tweet, Instacat, FB, Tumble & Pin too and now there's Basil TV on YouTube. All in all I'm a thoroughly Modern Cat; a cat of the 21st century, mew might say. My human & Purrsonal Assistant aka P.A. is Cathrine Garnell, and she writes books including a tale about my fictional alter ego, Basil the Bionic Cat. [See Books Page] I live in a multi-cat household, and mew can meet the rest of The B Team here most days of the week, as they all like a turn on the blog. I like mice, but then don't we all? I also like fresh tuna, chicken and prawns. I LOVE catnip, not in any excess I might add before mew jump to any wild conclusions. Thanks so much for dropping by, as we The B Team, love making new furriends, so do leave us a comment and say hi.
Wing Commander Basil & The B Team
