Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and Iโ€™ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.

Teaching at Oxford in England started as early as 1096. The Aztec capital of Tenochtitlรกn was founded around 1325, and the Aztec Empire (the Triple Alliance) was formally established later in 1428. Oxford was already operating as a hub for scholars and learning for over 200 years before the Aztec civilization built its great capital. Source: Smithsonian Magazine

WOW, I did not know that Oxford has such an old history.
I understand now why it looks somehow scary but impressive…
Happy twice WW, dear Sandee! I’ll skip the next game.
Hugs and joy, my friend! All the best!โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜˜

Somehow, I just don’t think I would be comfortable in that learning environment. I love the architecture but the somber mood of the building would not appeal to my soul.

  3. CatSynth says:

Oxford is such an amazing place! I visited a couple of times, but in the era before smartphones. I wish I had digital photos (or could even find my old film photos) to identify some of the buildings and places I remember from there.

  4. Suzette Benjamin says:

Oh, wow! That is an amazing fact, Sandee. Oxford’s deep history is tremendous. I did not know this university predated the Aztec capital.
Thank you for this eye-opener into history, Sandee.

    Happy Wordless Wednesday!
    Peace and hugs to you.

That is such an interesting fact. I had no idea. I feel as if I have been there, as we watch so many series on the BBC. Thanks for linking us up. Glad you liked our photo today. The kitties always look great, but Dad Tom doesn’t always catch me at the best angle. Purrs from the Coop! I knew Oxford was old, but not quite how old. The Aztecs were amazing in their own ways, too.

You and Mr. Zane have a blessed week, and give your fuzzy overlords some love from me, please.

it’s always on the british blogs that I watch. They seem to be the elite smart or anyway in the blogs anyway. Interesting info. Thanks for sharing and the link up. ๐Ÿ™‚
Happy Tuesday on Friday. I’m late to the party.
