Titanic Prediction
An author predicted the sinking of the Titanic 14 years earlier. There are a lot of eerie and mind-blowing facts out there, including this one. In the 1898 novella The Wreck of the Titan: Or, Futility, author Morgan Robertson wrote about a fictional โunsinkableโ British ocean liner named Titan, that sinks after hitting an iceberg in the North Atlantic. And even more uncanny, just like the 1912 sinking of the Titanic, the Titan didnโt have enough lifeboats for all of its passengers. Source: Readers Digest

Now that’s eerie and fascinating. I’m going to have nightmares. ๐คฃ๐๐
I don’t want you to have nightmares. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week. ๐
I’ve heard of this book. It’s spooky, thinking about this. Apparently the author wrote other stories that predicted future events, including a future war with Japan that started with a Japanese ambush of American ships. Logic or something else? Alana ramblinwitham
It’s eerie indeed. Some folks just seem to see into the future. Happy Wordless Wednesday. ๐
That is a real strange but true story!
I agree with you. Happy Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week. Scritches to the precious kitties. ๐
That is spooky but very interesting.
I usually add the link for the post when I publish, but the last 2 or 3 times when I go on memes it takes me to an old one, so I have been getting it from MessyMimi’s post. I just saw that you must have added me, so thank you. I also saw where I added myself later that it went up as Piza Italy instead of my blog name and spelled Pisa wrong. Maybe AI didn’t want two posts with the same name. That is spooky too!!
I do add folks that have posted, but not linked. I wanted to make sure your link was in the mix. I delete mine if you link later. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Jackie. Love and hugs. ๐
I have often thought of how much our world is now like the old cartoon The Flint Stones, where Fred and Wilma had microwave ovens and other 20th century thing 30 years before they were invented… this bit of info made me think of that…
What we can imagine can be reality in the future. You’re right about that. ๐
I remember seeing the movie. It was so scary.
Very scary. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week. Scritches to Duke. ๐
Very creepy….I’ve gotta get this book and read it!
Me too. Some folks just know things that are going to happen. Scritches to the pups. ๐
Wow, that’s eerie.
Very much so. Scritches to the kitties. ๐
That is quite strange.
Putting it mildly. Happy day and rest of the week. ๐
That really is eerie.
Hard to believe someone imagined all those details so long before the Titanic sank.
Gives me chills just thinking about it.
I find it very eerie that he predicted this. Very eerie. Happy day and rest of the week, Veronica. ๐
Fascinating… I did not know any of these details, Sandee. The idea of predictions that are so specific is mind-boggling. Great share!
Happy Wordless Wednesday, dear friend. Hugs.
I didn’t either and I made sure that it was true before I posted this. Love and hugs, Suzette. ๐
Thanks again dear friend.
Such a tragedy….and as Veronica said quite eerie about the prediction.
I love the music in Titanic
Hugs cecilia
Very eerie and such a horrific tragedy. I love the music in the movie too. Love and hugs, my friend. ๐
That’s so creepy. That prediction was so accurate!
Happy Wednesday, Sandee. Thank you for hosting. ๐
Creepy and very accurate. Happy Wordless Wednesday, my friend. ๐
That is so cool to look at! So eerie because of how many lives were lost.
Thanks for hosting, Sandee! Love and hugs, and scritches to the kitties! xo
It was a horrific event indeed. Love and hugs, my friend. ๐
That is a spooky fortelling of the Titanic’s demise, and a very cool picture!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
It seemed to be the right photograph for this information. Happy Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the pups. ๐
Strange but fascinating ~ thanks,
Hugs and love from Ziggy and me ~. xo
Yes it is. Love and hugs to you and Ziggy. ๐
Sad isn’t it……all that money spent on the ship but so little thought to the passengers who spent money to BE on the ship and what if there was an emergency. WOW.
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
I hear you. Happy Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to handsome Teddy. ๐
Now that is super creepy!
I thought so too. Happy Birthday, Olivia. ๐
Wow, that’s interesting…and a little spooky.
Interesting and spooky indeed. Happy Wednesday. ๐
Have heard about this, and find it fascinating.
Guess none of the engineers or staff read that book, mores the pity.
I hear you. No one had read about this. I would have stayed home. Happy Wednesday. ๐
Chills and goosebumps at that! AND OH MY COD, we made it here on the right day!!!! MOL MOL Happy Wednesday Sandee, we hope your day is EPIC! ๐พ๐พ๐ป

Happy WW and a fine week!โค๏ธ๐ Hugs and love!
I didn’t know about this prediction either. Wish someone had heeded this. Happy Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Suzana. ๐
That really is eerie. So many things about Titanic that I never heard before.
Happy Wednesday and rest of the week!
There are lots of videos on YouTube. Happy Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Yvonne. ๐
The Titanic was such a sad disaster!
It sure was. Many lessons learned though. Happy Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week. ๐
Wow! That is uncanny! I’ve heard a few other instances where authors have written a fiction story, and some time later on an incident happens that is eerie it’s so similar.
Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday and rest of the week <3
It’s eerie for sure. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week, Barbara. ๐
Oh, Sandee, we read about this story a while ago, it’s very interesting…btw we loved The movie…MOL…Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day and Week ahead to you, Zane and the sweet kitties too. Enjoy!๐พ๐๐
We loved the movie, too. Double Pawkisses to you both and a big hug to Granny. ๐
I just found out that information yesterday in one book.
Way cool. We’re on the same page. Happy Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week. ๐
Wow, makes me wonder if his book came from a dream or what put that in his head to write. Amazing the similarity for sure. Very interesting, and so sad for all who went down. I wonder if it really could have been easily avoided.
I don’t know how he did it, but it was eerie. I think there were things that could have been done to prevent this horrific tragedy. Happy rest of the week. Thanks for playing along. ๐
It certainly is odd, and a bit scary. You and Mr. Zane have a fabulous rest of the week, hugs to you and scritches to the kitties.
Nostradamus did this kind of thing, but I had no idea about this man. Eerie and scary. Love and hugs to you my wonderful friend. ๐
That’s pretty interesting. How fascinating that he wrote about it with even a fictional name so close to the Titanic
It is amazing. I had no idea. Happy day and rest of the week, my friend. ๐
Very Interesting story about Titanic… Thanks a lot for sharing.
I thought so too and I didn’t know about this. Happy day. ๐
The Titanic was such a tragedy. Hard to believe someone predicted 14 years before it happened! How eery was that? Thanks for sharing a slice of fascinating history, dear Sandee. Hugs and tail wiggles from me and the Floof.
I thought it was most interesting. To bad the folks that ran the ship didn’t read the book. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to handsome Wilson. ๐
That’s the sort of life imitating art we prefer doesn’t happen. ~shudder~ I’ve read of many such mysteries, though. Hugs, my dear.
You’re right about that. Happy day and rest of the week, my friend. Hugs. ๐
I actually knew that! About the prediction of Titanic. I used to teach Robert Ballard’s Titanic book for a nonfiction unit. The kids really got into it.
Way cool. It appears most of us didn’t know this. Happy day and rest of the week. ๐
I like a conspiracy theory and one of my favourites is that the sunken ship was actually the Titanic’s sister ship the Olympic. Some say that they’d had their names swapped before the deliberate fateful voyage. I could go on but it’s a long story!
I love your take on things. Happy day and weekend. ๐
