Grotta Palazzese – Puglia, Italy
Lauded as “the most romantic restaurant in the world” by some, this cliffside cavern in Puglia, Italy, truly lives up to the hype. Quite literally carved out of rock and awash with waves from the Adriatic Sea below, Grotta Palazzese offers fine dining in an unbelievable setting, complete with white tablecloths, warm lighting and live music that puts diners in the mood for a bella notte. When it comes to the food, our advice is to skip the tasting menu and go straight for the bowls of fresh pasta. After all, this is Italy we’re talking about.
Wow. They wouldn’t have to exaggerate about the romantic feel, not one bit.

What an amazing place! While I think it’s really neat, I’d be a bit scared to dine there because it’s inside a cliff. I’d get claustrophobic or fear of collapse would seize my little brain. Yep, I’m a bit crazy but I’m happy in my crazy! 🙂 I’ll just admire the photographic view.
We all have our phobias. I’m claustrophobic too, but only when I have to have an MRI. I hated that. I’m sure there are other things, but that’s the only one so far. We’re all a bit crazy and that’s a good thing. I love your crazy. 🙂

To have Italian food in Italy is a dream of mine. Having it here would be the cherry on top of that dream. 🙂
