Blue Whale
The blue whale’s heart is huge. It’s the largest heart in the animal kingdom, weighing about 400 pounds (180 kilograms)—about the same weight as a gorilla and roughly the size of a bumper car. As a blue whale dives to feed, its giant heart may only beat twice per minute. Source: Treehugger

I have always been fascinated by the variety of critters that populate our planet INCLUDING those that live in the ocean…..I love the “grace” of the whale underwater……the way they treat their young and the way they travel in “pods” like family.

Wales are beautiful but I never knew they have such a huge heart. We have been lucky to very occasionally see them, mostly off Norway, but once a pod when we cruised in Alaska.
