WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Back to the Future

Back to the Future is a 1985 American science fiction film directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale. It stars Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, and Thomas F. Wilson. Set in 1985, it follows Marty McFly (Fox), a teenager accidentally sent back to 1955 in a time-traveling DeLorean automobile built by his eccentric scientist friend Emmett “Doc” Brown (Lloyd), where he inadvertently prevents his future parents from falling in love – threatening his own existence – and is forced to reconcile them and somehow get back to the future.

The production used many locations in and around Los Angeles. The clock tower is a structure on the Universal Studios Lot in Universal City, California. When filmed from below, Lloyd was positioned on a recreation of the clock tower, but when filmed from above, Lloyd stood atop the tower itself. Production designer Lawrence G. Paull insisted on using the Universal backlot sets because of the difficulties and costs involved in making an on-location area look 1955-appropriate. Whittier High School in the city of Whittier is the Hill Valley high school. Marty’s home and the surrounding Lyon estates are in Arleta, Los Angeles. Several of the residential locations were filmed in Pasadena: Lorraine’s and George’s 1955 homes, and Doc Brown’s 1955 home. (Its exterior is the Gamble House; interiors were shot at the historic Blacker House.)  Puente Hills Mall in City of Industry, California serves as the Twin Pines mall, which later becomes the Lone Pine mall after Marty knocks over one of the trees at Twin Pines ranch in 1955, which was filmed at the Walt Disney Studios-owned Golden Oak Ranch in Newhall, Santa Clarita, California. Other locations include the basement of the Hollywood United Methodist Church where the school dance was filmed, and Griffith Park, where Marty begins his drive to the courthouse to return to 1985, passing by a lamp post outside the Greek Theatre.  Source: Wikipedia

That movie was a BIGGIE…..and sometimes I have to admit I wouldn’t mind going BACK in time but I’m not all that anxious about going FORWARD in time. Things are a little crazy and I’m hoping they don’t get “crazier”…..meanwhile I enjoy living in the moment. Moments are comfy!!! Happy Holidays!

    Hugs, Pam (and Teddy)

No idea why here the like is not functional…
I did not see the movie. I heard that the SF, old ones, are vectors toward the future, our present, with some subjects. What do you think about this idea?
Happy WW, dear Sandee! Hugs and a fine December!❤️😘

That was such a fun movie…Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson were perfectly cast in this classic romp of a movie. Loved it! My brother and I still toss McFly-isms back and forth to one another. 🙂

  12. CAAC says:

Fantastic movie! They don’t make films like this anymore. Would love to see all the political correctness go right out the window so writers can pen freely good material that producers aren’t shy about churning out again. That’s my two cents worth anywho. 😉

    • Sandee – California – Home of Awww Mondays, Happy Tuesday, and Wordless Wednesday.
      Sandee says:

I think some of that political correctness is already going out the window. Happy WW and rest of the week, my friend. Love and hugs. 🙂

  15. Veronica Lee says:

Back to the Future really kicked off the whole time travel and timeline concept in movies. It set the stage for so many other films and shows exploring alternate timelines, paradoxes, and what-if scenarios. The trilogy’s take on time travel was pretty groundbreaking for its time and inspired a lot of other stories that followed!

It sure did and it was such a great movie with a fabulous cast. Happy rest of the week, Veronica. 🙂

I did enjoy those films. I am very late commenting, in fact I missed it completely yesterday due to Windows doing an unexpected major update and changing my PC beyond recognition. It told me photos and documents were empty but I did find them eventually doing a Windows PC search. I do back everything up but it is the inconvenience. Spent all day trying to sort it but will try a system restore today.

  18. Wing Commander Basil & The B Team – UK – Well, now there's a question! Furstly and most importantly I'm a cat if mew hadn't already guessed. I got my Wing Commander status in September 2018 but that hasn't slowed me up at all! I tweet, Instacat, FB, Tumble & Pin too and now there's Basil TV on YouTube. All in all I'm a thoroughly Modern Cat; a cat of the 21st century, mew might say. My human & Purrsonal Assistant aka P.A. is Cathrine Garnell, and she writes books including a tale about my fictional alter ego, Basil the Bionic Cat. [See Books Page] I live in a multi-cat household, and mew can meet the rest of The B Team here most days of the week, as they all like a turn on the blog. I like mice, but then don't we all? I also like fresh tuna, chicken and prawns. I LOVE catnip, not in any excess I might add before mew jump to any wild conclusions. Thanks so much for dropping by, as we The B Team, love making new furriends, so do leave us a comment and say hi.
Wing Commander Basil & The B Team says:

This is one of Cat Dads all time fav movies, what a classic, it never gets old! Thank mew for adding our links earlier in the week, we really appreciate it, and we’ve added a couple more! MOL Wishing mew a supurr blessed weekend… purr purr purr!

I’ve never seen it, but I know it’s wildly popular. My site’s down. Blogger says I’m a rule violater (all of those risky posts about my cat subscription box and grandchildren’s books must be too wild for the internet, lol). I put the giveaway forms up on the Facebook posts. I’m super bummed the sponsors I agreed to work with are not getting the coverage they asked for and wanted. I put in an appeal, but one of my social media’s was recently shut down too. Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something and it’s time to quit blogging. It’ll be weird, I’ve been doing it since 2012. We’ll see. Bad timing (holiday season) but I’m fine either way. Can’t change what you can’t change. Just letting you know. 🙂

      Sandee says:

I’m sorry your site is down. Google doesn’t play well at times. I wish you had more money to have a site that would allow you to do what you need to do. Hugs. 🙂

      • Rosey says:

It’s back up. Yay. And yes, that whole money thing, lol. It’s even worse now because I LOVE teaching this year. Can’t imagine ever finding a better job (of course, that depends on the year, because there has been a year I would have gladly quit). But…the pay in the state where I live is never going to make ends comfortably meet, so I guess essentially, I’m choosing to stay broke. I tinkered with the idea of getting another side job, but I only have one more year before the teen is grown and I don’t want to be gone for most of it. I hear the kids at school say things like, “I can’t wait to grow up and do whatever I want” and I tell them they better set up their dominoes the right way, if that’s their goal. Most of them don’t know what dominoes are (literally and figuratively speaking). 😉

This took me back in time. We were fed on ample doses of this film and couldn’t just watch it once.
That info is quite something to know about. Thanks for sharing.
