Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Casablanca – 1942

Casablanca is a 1942 American romantic drama film directed by Michael Curtiz and starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, and Paul Henreid. Filmed and set during World War II, it focuses on an American expatriate (Bogart) who must choose between his love for a woman (Bergman) and helping her husband (Henreid), a Czechoslovak resistance leader, escape from the Vichy-controlled city of Casablanca to continue his fight against the Germans. The screenplay is based on Everybody Comes to Rick’s, an unproduced stage play by Murray Burnett and Joan Alison. The supporting cast features Claude Rains, Conrad Veidt, Sydney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre, and Dooley Wilson.

The entire picture was shot in the studio except for the sequence showing Strasser’s arrival and close-ups of the Lockheed Electra (filmed at Van Nuys Airport) and a few short clips of stock footage views of Paris. The street used for the exterior shots had recently been built for another film, The Desert Song, and redressed for the Paris flashbacks.  Source: Wikipedia

  16. Wing Commander Basil & The B Team – UK – Well, now there's a question! Furstly and most importantly I'm a cat if mew hadn't already guessed. I got my Wing Commander status in September 2018 but that hasn't slowed me up at all! I tweet, Instacat, FB, Tumble & Pin too and now there's Basil TV on YouTube. All in all I'm a thoroughly Modern Cat; a cat of the 21st century, mew might say. My human & Purrsonal Assistant aka P.A. is Cathrine Garnell, and she writes books including a tale about my fictional alter ego, Basil the Bionic Cat. [See Books Page] I live in a multi-cat household, and mew can meet the rest of The B Team here most days of the week, as they all like a turn on the blog. I like mice, but then don't we all? I also like fresh tuna, chicken and prawns. I LOVE catnip, not in any excess I might add before mew jump to any wild conclusions. Thanks so much for dropping by, as we The B Team, love making new furriends, so do leave us a comment and say hi.
Wing Commander Basil & The B Team says:

What a movie, they don’t make them like that any more! Wishing mew a totally terrific weekend, and thank mew for hosting!

  17. Pamela A Jackson says:

confession, I have never seen Casablanca. Okay, shut your mouth, I know it dropped open when you read that, just like mine did when my grandsons told me they have never seen the Wizard of Oz! Okay, I need to make it a thing, and watch that show. I am ashamed!

    • Sandee – California – Home of Awww Mondays, Happy Tuesday, and Wordless Wednesday.
      Sandee says:

Don’t be ashamed. Not everyone is into many movies. Happy weekend. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
