Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.

M*A*S*H (TV series)

As if you needed another excuse to visit the stunning hiking trails of Malibu, California. While trekking through the mountains with a picture-perfect ocean view, visitors should keep their eyes peeled for remnants of the long-running TV show MASH, which was shot here between 1972 and 1983. Pieces of signs and military vehicles were restored in 2007 and now remain on display in Malibu Creek State Park.  Source: Travel + Leisure

It’s been so long that I only vaguely remember watching MAS*H. I know my family watched it. I remember seeing the episode where one of the main characters was leaving to return home, but his plane or helicopter was shot down so he never made it. I also kind of remember seeing the finale.

    Anyway, happy WW!

That’s cool! Get this, one of my bloggy friends portrayed an young injured soldier in the series. 🙂 In western North Carolina production left props from “The Fugitive” train crash behind. I don’t recall how we found this out now but we’ve driven by and photographed it a few times over the years. Thanks for dropping and please don’t worry about being absent or being too busy to visit. We all have a life beyond cyberspace. I’m trying to use this summer as a time to do other things as much as I can away from the Internet, so I understand. Have a wonderful week, Sandee!

I saw “left overs” from a famous film (I forgot the title) with Brad Pitt in the deep south of Morocco in a desert. Apparently B Pitt payed for the electricity in this region, people still lived without ! Years later when I returned, I saw the TV parabolic on some rocks, so now they had electricity.

My dad says he’s probably seen every single episode. He and mom even started binge watching it when they were in between Asheville and New Hope, but much like me with pretty much everything, they lost interest. Dad says they’re overdue for some real hiking, and those trails sound like they’re just the ticket. Thanks for the interesting tidbit!
