Psycho

Psycho is a 1960 American horror film produced and directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The screenplay, written by Joseph Stefano, was based on the 1959 novel of the same name by Robert Bloch. The film stars Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, Vera Miles, John Gavin, and Martin Balsam. The plot centers on an encounter between on-the-run embezzler Marion Crane (Leigh) and shy motel proprietor Norman Bates (Perkins) and its aftermath, in which a private investigator (Balsam), Marion’s lover Sam Loomis (Gavin), and her sister Lila (Miles) investigate her disappearance. 7. Wing Commander Basil & The B Team – UK – Well, now there's a question! Furstly and most importantly I'm a cat if mew hadn't already guessed. I got my Wing Commander status in September 2018 but that hasn't slowed me up at all! I tweet, Instacat, FB, Tumble & Pin too and now there's Basil TV on YouTube. All in all I'm a thoroughly Modern Cat; a cat of the 21st century, mew might say. My human & Purrsonal Assistant aka P.A. is Cathrine Garnell, and she writes books including a tale about my fictional alter ego, Basil the Bionic Cat. [See Books Page] I live in a multi-cat household, and mew can meet the rest of The B Team here most days of the week, as they all like a turn on the blog. I like mice, but then don't we all? I also like fresh tuna, chicken and prawns. I LOVE catnip, not in any excess I might add before mew jump to any wild conclusions. Thanks so much for dropping by, as we The B Team, love making new furriends, so do leave us a comment and say hi.
Wing Commander Basil & The B Team says:

Yeah, I think we’ll pass on that one! MOL Happy Wednesday Sandee, we hope your week is glorious!

That was a very scary movie back in the day, and probably just as scary now. The “music” from the shower scene is once heard never forgotten.

      Sandee says:

I hear you about the music. Hitchcock was a master at horror flicks. 🙂

With the musical score, that movie is one of the most effective at scaring the Bejesus out of you-especially that shower scene! Alfred Hitchcock made a name for himself with that movie!

How coincidental!!! Mom and Dad watched the series finale of The Good Doctor starring Freddie Highmore. He played Norman Bates in the newer TV version of the story. Mom is really going to miss The Good Doctor – one of her favorite TV shows.

Hitchcock’s genius was undeniable, especially in the way he built suspense. The shower scene still gives me chills every time I think about it.

The picture of the house brings back memories ! We have visited the Universal Studio in 1971, and were thrilled about the balancing Rocking chair with a shadow sitting on it ! We were invited by my American aunt (sister of my mother) and it was great to see the studios. I have seen the movie on TV fortunately, because I think on a big screen the film would be more terrible !

Want to know something weird? I’ve never watched the entire film start to finish. I’ve seen all of it over the years, but just in bits and pieces. One day I really should watch the whole film straight through.
