Yum! We netted our strawberries yesterday to keep the birds and butterflies off. Hopefully with some good weather they will be ready to start picking in about 3 or 4 weeks.
I saw them in the store the other day and I immediately thought of strawberry shortcake. My mom made the very best. 🙂

Meowser Ms. Sandee, those are lovely and my staff seems to love strawberries, though they are worthless for soccer, but is that real whipped cream under them?!?!? I love, love, love real whipped cream!

Planted some wild strawberry plants, not for fruit, but to encourage pollinators like bees and butterflies into the yard.
I love the way they spread out; very interesting plants.

How delicious do those strawberry tarts look!!!! Mom was so disappointed this year. She took the two grandgirls strawberry picking. They picked lots of beautiful berries. But they didn’t taste all that good. Mom thinks they got too much rain:(

Those strawberries look wonderful! Our mom just brought in some from the back yard yesterday. She washed them and set them by the sink for a moment before she nommed them up. Of course Tyler came along to thwap them into the sink (mom saved them though). Tyler’s strange like that. He also likes to lick and cuddle potatoes.

I would LOVE some of those strawberry thingies – tomorrow. Still feeling crappy (no worse than some of the first flu shots) But it is worth it to be fully vaccinated! You are right to NOT touchMarv’s belly. After 4 years he is just as skittish about being touched or picked up as he was when he first came from Iran. He does cuddle on a lap on his terms. Have a marvellously happy day!
We didn’t get vaccinated. The list is long on the for passing on the shots, but we’re happy we passed. To many horror stories.
I love Marv, but I’ve learned that cats do everything on their own terms and I’m not messing with that. You have a marvellously happy day too. 🙂
